Service Pro Painting and Improvements

I was a little confused about the deal, which was "up to" 1400 square feet for $549. I had one room that was 46' by 13', so that's not 1400 square feet. But I really don't know how they count the feet/wall space that they paint, and it was such a huge room that I figured that was ok for the price, since I had paid about that for a similar space earlier this year. I added a hallway and another large room, which they priced at under the amount for the family room, so that was ok, as I really just wanted it done. They came very quickly after I agreed to the work (the day after, although late in the day--I thought they had changed their minds, but they showed up at 2:30 and worked till 8:30 the first day). However, there were two new guys they were training, apparently, and while they worked hard (and kept their radio down to a reasonable level), they did not tape the trim, preferring to wipe off any paint that spilled. Well, you can't get a good edge that way. They left a repaired section of the ceiling unprimed and painted till they had finished the hall, which made no sense. Why wouldn't you prime that first, then paint it with the rest? I had the paint for the hall and my husband brought home the paint for the laundry, but they didn't remember that the laundry was a different color, so they went ahead and painted it with the wrong paint. That was when I emailed the owner. He sent his best guy out the next day who very carefully went over the entire job and wrote everything down, showed the guys what had gone wrong, taped the trim, cleaned up the problem areas and salvaged the adventure. However, when I was putting things back the next week in the laundry room and office, I noticed paint on my computer, monitor, the floor--little drops that happen when you are painting a bulkhead and you haven't covered things up! I showed them where drop cloths were before I had to leave and I made the mistake of assuming that they would use them. I am really surprised that they didn't, since all the furniture was pushed together in the center of the room, and it would have been easy to just drape the mass of stuff with the dropcloths, sheets or the plastic that most painters use. All in all, they did ok, but it's aggravating to have to clean paint off of things that ought not to have it on. I had to buy another gallon of very expensive paint I would not have needed had they not painted a 26-foot wall with the wrong paint and, at my request, the owner did cover half the cost of that. (here was quite a bit left) He did apologize for the issues, which I appreciated, and he did resolve them. But, in the end, I would not use them again because of the number of issues I had on the job, and the lack of real care-taking to not get paint on items by taking the time to use dropcloths appropriately. I think they'd probably do better as they get more experienced, and I hope that the owner reads this review and uses it for training his workers so they do a better job.

Our home has some very old wood siding. Wood siding is expensive to replace, so we just wanted the rotten and/or cracked boards replaced. Dan's team did a fantastic job figuring out which boards needed replacement and performing the actual work. Next step is painting once spring rolls around!

Dan was very prompt in responding and fair on price. Staff did an amazing job on the painting. Very happy!

I contacted Dan to see about getting our nursery painted last minute. Got a call from UPS freight saying they were delivering our nursery furniture in 2 days(Friday) and Dan told me he could get someone out the next day (Thursday) to get the nursery painted. Raymond arrived Thursday and was very nice. Got to working right away. He did an excellent job and was very professional. I highly recommend Service Pro and will definitely use them in the future!

Good job done by ServicePro Unlimited! I was in need of some assistance for taking my trim work from the rough stage to a finish stage. ServicePro's price was competitive and they did what they said they were going to do. They managed to fit in my modest work on fairly short notice and my lead on the project was very personable. After the first day, I had absolutely no doubt he'd get the work done.

My husband and I hired Service Pro for a small exterior project. We had large party this weekend and needed some trim touched up and the front door repainted. The painting crew showed up with all the paint and supplies. The color was spot on and they finished the job within two days. We were very happy with Service Pro, their attention to detail, prompt service, and fair pricing! We would definitely recommend Dan and his crew to others. :)

Our walls needed painting, lots of holes and some wallpaper removal. Service Pro took care of everything. Covered all my stuff, sanded the walls, and applied the paint perfectly. We are so happy now. Thanks Dan and his crew. Looking forward to getting our exterior done this summer.

He first provided us a estimate that was right in the middle of the other three estimates. He gave us a start date and showed up on time. He gave us a personal walk around before starting the project with his crew manager, (Dave) and confirmed all the details. When the crew arrived, they were professional and we were excited. They got right to work and took care of EVERYTHING. We are so excited to have our house repainted, we plan on calling Dan to do some interior work as well. He was a pleasure to work with you would recommend to anyone. I know my neighbors will be calling him in the spring. Thanks Dan and his crew.

It did not go well as stated above. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company or owner (Dan). We live in a very nive country club development and have had many services provided by other companies. This will be the first time I have ever felt the need to writie a review about a terrible company and their pushy, unprofessional, and aggressive practices.

Communication was terrible. Purchased a deal for 700.00 worth of outdoor painting for 350.00. No answer on phone and messages were "full". Finally got hold of someone, and they came to give an estimate---exactly 700.00- for very small amount of work. There was a necessary time line, did not come when said they would, and told them I had to be gone and painter showed up less than an hour before I had to leave. Took paint can samples with him to paint store--did not return 2 of them which had info I needed for color and kind--said they were damaged trying to open. Would have appreciated info from cans. Painter painted outside of 1 storm door--in a flat paint--not near to original--was at house no more than 20 minutes total. Called to complain about the job, never heard from them again. They did later contact me to attempt to resolve issues.

We contacted the supplier to arrange a time to do the work when we made the prchase. We agreed that due to our mutual schedules, we would wait until now to schedule the work. We contacted 2 weeks ago and arranged for a time to do the work. Day of work scheduled no call and no one showed. Called and texted and excuses given that the person was sick but when questioned why no one called to advise, there was no response. Now they are working with another party to do the work. Bottom line is they are unreliable and unresponsive. I would not recommend them to anyone. I question how they got their original rating on Angie's List as it certainly is not warranted from our perspective. We want to get our money back and move on now. Price and quality for the service does not matter if they are not customer focused.

Our painter was very prompts and helpful. He moved major pieces of furniture and then carefully put them back in place when finished. I would definitely use them again and was pleased with the work he did.

Painters were OK, not great. They left their brushes and rollers out when they left for the day. Exterior: Over sprayed the soffits with main house color which forced them to paint the soffit vents. Unfortunately, they clogged many of the soffit vents with paint. Interior: left painter's aprons (drips) in many places. Attention to detail is not great.

It went well, for the most part. My house is listed, so it was not convenient for two nonconsecutive days for the work to be done.

Overall it went well, painting looked good and no surprises. I Have been trying to get in contact with them to finish the remaining rooms that need painting but have not been successful yet. I will keep trying and soon I will have to find someone else to finish up the painting if I cannot get in contact with them.

When painters were on the job they were hard workers and did a good job.

The painting project went really WELL!! Dan and his crew were extremely respectfull to my house and belongings. Every morning they would come in, move everything in the area where they were working and cover it with plastic. They worked a full day and then move everything back. I never had to worry about drips or things getting ruined. The job looks AMAZING. Not only did they do a very professional job, they took the time to do the little things. I was very impressed by the skill level and speed they worked.. only took 4 days to complete. When finished, Dan walked the house with me, room by room. He took care of any small touch ups and made sure everything quoted was completed. I am very happy with the quality and professionalism of Dan and his Crew. Service Pro will be highly recommended to anyone who ask for a painter. Dan also gave me a 20% off discount on painting my exterior this spring.... even after saving me over 300.00 compared to my other quote on the interior.

Dan and his crew overall did an outstanding job. They were very professional and very prompt. I placed a call to him the same day he came and provided a free estimate. They were on time and very orderly. My neighbors and myself find the owner is a very good businessman, very qualified and experienced. When the job was finished, Dan walked around the house with us and confirmed everything was completed before leaving. I highly recommend them.

I decided to write this review after reading the other review on this website. I am a neighbor near where Dan and his crew did work for the negative customer. We had our house also painted by Dan and his crew a month after he finished painting her house. My experience with Dan was professional, respectful, and high quality. We noticed Dan's crew working down the road and stopped over a few times to monitor the progress, as we were looking to have our house painted. We meet his crew and got to know Dan during the duration of her job. The major problem Dan had will working on her house, was the home owners themselves. They had a friend that seemed to always have an opinion on how he could do a better job and was informing the home owners to fire Dan and hire him. We saw the crew fully scrape the house by hand, replace wood and repaint the house by hand, not spray. They didnt use rollers from the ground and for sure didnt get paint all over. The house looks 100% professional. We hired Dan because he did a great job on there house and saw the dedication her applied to his work. We wish we could have warned him of that home owner to save him the stress. So please, disregard the negative review and meet Dan yourself, he will surely meet your needs.
