SEARS HOME IMPROVEMENT PRODUCTS

I am at my wits end with these people. The windows we did receive are great! Love them! However, we did not receive one of the windows as ordered, but the installer didn't realize until he took the old window out. He roughly screwed the old window back into the frame and it looks terrible and said the new window would come in 2-3 weeks. It has been 2-3 months. About a week after the install another window developed a crack in the inner pane. Was told that they would get that taken care of right away. Again, we are now into months later. I try to reach them for updates, but cannot reach anyone that was involved with my project, nor can I get any updates. So..... may have to go the legal route next....

We had no problem with them. They were a bit pricy and the customer service is top of the line. I have never had any issues with fixing any appliances. Also we like that if anything happens to the roof in the lifetime they will replace it for free.

The presentation was long. It was 60 to 90 minutes. It was well over 2 hours. He was rather negative in his presentation about other contractors. He was there when he said he was.

They have always been great in helping us with furnace and gym equipment service.

He was at our house for over 4hrs. During this time he told us his quote was binding. He told us it would cost us 'our first two born.' He showed us a computer that processed discounts to bring it down from 30,392.50 to 22,623 dollars. He had an option for sears gift cards or a rebate offering on top of that. He said he could get a crew out to start on July 11 and it would take 2 days to complete the job. He said we would be contacted by the roofers to make sure the calculations were right, but his quote would still be firm. 2 guys came on July 5 and they could start on the 7th. We asked if they could start on the 11th and they said no problem. They said a dumpster would be delivered on the 9th. We gave them our cell phone because we would be out of town. We told our neighbors of the situation. We returned home on the 9th and there was no dumpster or shingles and they were have supposed to arrived the next morning. We had not received a call from Sears. The two guys that came and checked out the roof said they were coming from MI. Monday morning came and went and no material, dumpster, or crew. The job was supposed to have started that day. I called Sears and talked to Mike. Mike said there was a problem with the estimate, even though I was assured it was binding. Joe was short 11 bundles of material. They said they would need more money or use a lesser grade shingle for the price that was quoted. I told them I had to think about that. The salesman came back. I told him that I wasn't going to, I felt they were trying to rip me off. The salesman left. We signed a contract and Sears was the one who did not live up to the contract that was supposedly binding. They didn't show up, call, or anything. Said they needed more money or use a cheaper product. The salesman eventually said he would send me a cancellation of the contract which I never received. July 28 I received a bill from sears for $6,787 and they hadn't done a thing except give me a quote! Yet they sent me a bill for a third of the price of the actual job. I called the # on the bill. She said the charge would be credited and no further charges would be coming. The lady said the contract was certainly cancelled after I request a cancellation contract. I never have received anything else from sears showing a credit or cancellation. It has been months.

Not very professional, not very good with communication and overall not worth the time or effort.

WHEN YOU USE SEARS, YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET DEPENDABLE SERVICE. I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE REPAIRS THAT THEY HAVE DONE FOR ME. THE WORK THAT THEY DO IS QUALITY AND THE WORKERS ARE PROFESSIONALS.

THEIR WORK WAS QUITE IMPRESSIVE. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE FACT THAT THEY ARRIVED EARLY AND GOT THE JOB DONE QUICKLY. WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED I WAS GLAD THAT THE JOB HAD BEEN DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. THEIR HIGH PRICES WILL KEEP ME FROM CALLING AGAIN.

THEY WERE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE WORK THAT THEY DID. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND MY KITCHEN LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. I PROBABLY WOULDN'T HIRE THEM BACK BECAUSE OF THE PRICE BUT THEY DO GOOD WORK.

THE WASHER WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY DURING THIS TIME. THEY WERE HERE WITHIN 72 HOURS AFTER I CALLED. THAT SAYS A LOT WHEN YOU NEED A REPAIR. THEY FIXED THE WASHER QUICKLY AND WERE ON THEIR WAY.

THEY HAD IT ALL DONE IN VERY GOOD TIMING. THE SIDING BEING TAKEN DOWN WAS A MESS, BUT THEY GOT IT ALL TAKEN CARE OF. IN THE END IT WAS WORTH IT BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY OF THE NEW SIDING IS EXCELLENT.

THIS COMPANY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB! THEY WERE PERFECT. THEIR STAFF WAS VERY PUNCTUAL. AFTER ALL THE WORK WAS DONE, THEY CAME BACK AND CHECKED UP ON THE WORK TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY.

WE LIKE HOW QUICKLY THEY WORK. THEY START AS SOON AS THEY GET IN YOUR HOME. I LOVE HOW MY CABINETS LOOK. THEY ALSO INSTALLED A COUNTER TOP THAT WAS AFFORDABLE, AND THEY CLEANED AS THEY DID THEIR WORK.

THEY DID AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL JOB INSTALLING OUR CARPET. THEY WERE FAST, EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL. BESIDES BEING ALL OF THAT THEY WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND TOOK GOOD CARE OF US. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED BY THEM.

THEIR EMPLOYEES WERE VERY FRIENDLY. THE PRICE WASN'T THAT IMPRESSIVE BUT I AM VERY HAPPY ABOUT THE QUALITY OF WINDOWS THEY INSTALLED. THEY ALSO WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AS THEY DID THE JOB VERY QUICKLY.

THEY WERE VERY EASY TO TALK TO AND PROFESSIONAL. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY NICE AND UNDERSTANDING. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK WAS EXCELLENT! I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY.

THEY WEREN'T AS PROMPT OR PROFESSIONAL AS I EXPECTED. THE OVERALL SERVICE WAS SECOND RATE. THEIR PRICING WAS NOT VERY REASONABLE EITHER. I WOULD NOT HIRE THEM AGAIN.

THEY CAME OUT AS SOON AS THEY COULD AND GOT THE JOB DONE. THEY WERE VERY POLITE TO ME, AND TOLD ME THAT IF I HAD ANYMORE PROBLEMS TO GIVE THEM A CALL. THE WASHER IS WORKING VERY WELL NOW.

THEY CHARGED ME EXTRA MONEY EVERY TIME THEY CAME OUT. I ENDED UP BUYING PARTS THAT I DID NOT EVEN NEED. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO COME OUT THREE TIMES AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. THEY WASTED A LOT OF MY TIME.

THEY HELPED WITH SOME IDEAS FOR THE TRIM. THEY ALSO HELPED US WITH OTHER DETAIL IDEAS. THERE WAS ONE GUY THAT MADE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS CLEANED UP EVERYDAY BEFORE THEY LEFT. I COULD NOT BE ANY HAPPIER WITH THEIR SERVICES.

THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY DID NOT TRY TO SELL US ANYTHING EXTRA THAT WE DID NOT NEED. THEY WERE VERY WELL ORGANIZED. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY DID NOT BOTHER ANY OF OUR PERSONAL ITEMS.

FIRST THE GUY DID NOT MEASURE RIGHT AND MY HOME WAS A MESS. THEN THEY ORDERED TWO SINK CABINETS WHEN I ONLY NEEDED ONE. THE JOB SHOULD NOT OF TOOK MORE THAN A WEEK, MAYBE TWO AT THE MOST, BUT IT TOOK A MONTH. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

I HAVE A FIVE YEAR WARRANTY WITH THEM. THEY DO GREAT WORK THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MESS BEHIND THEM WHILE FIXING MY WASHER. THEY ALSO DID NOT TAKE A LONG TIME WHILE THEY WERE HERE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. I LIKE THIS COMPANY.

WE LIKED HOW QUICK THEY RESPONDED TO OUR PROBLEM WITH THE WASHER. THEY DID NOT COMPLAIN AT ALL. THE WORK WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE.

I RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY BECAUSE THEY FIXED MY DRYER. MY DRYER OPERATES WELL SINCE THEY HAVE FIXED IT. THEY DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING UP AFTER THE JOB AND NO TOOLS WERE LEFT BEHIND.
