Pella Windows and Doors

We were going to purchase our Pella windows from a big box store at a lower cost; however, we decided to purchase directly from Pella because we were told by the salesperson that we would get a higher quality installation. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. One of our new windows does not close. Most of the windows are drafty around the perimeter. The windows were not caulked well on the interior or exterior. We have reported the issues to Pella on several occasions and they have been slow to respond and none of the repairs have been made. Last week, they delivered some additional windows and the slider arrived cracked. Pella has still not let us know how long it will take to get a replacement. Overall, we have been very disappointed with Pella. We probably should have purchased from a big box store.

Had them install windows in July, there install team did a very poor job pictures below show facia all cracked up (6 out of 12 windows). For close to 9k you would expect better. Had them come back out to fix said cracked and broken parts they fixe 3 or 4 left 2 still broken. Through out this experience it has been hard to get people on the phone. I will say they’re nice when you finally do get someone on the phone. Just a general lack of pride or caring once they’re paid! It’s October still waiting for final repair. Definitely find another company!!

Excellent! The Pella crew was scheduled to be at our house at 8 am and they arrived a few minutes before. The two men introduced them selves, were clean cut, worked well together and did excellent work. We are extremely pleased. Thank you Pella and Thank you Nate and Rob.

Everything went well. Had a bit of a delay during the installation and they had to come back a couple of times to correct a couple of items that were not quite right; but over all with all the work that was done, the project went very well. Everyone is very professional and courteous.

On time. professional. Noted things wrong and had them corrected.

I had to pay them at least $100 just to come out and look at it. Then they told me they could repair it for $650, but that would not finish it. They did not complete the job and I would not recommend Pella to anybody. They are just smart pots and think they've got it made. I told them I was not going to pay that kind of money and then not have the job finished. With them operating that way they could do half of it and tell me it was done. The way it read it would not be completed. I am sure that meant that they would not do painting or something that would not match the windows in the same group. I was just disgusted. I tried to get a couple of other people to do it and I will eventually. I used the location in Grand Rapids and the lady is the most self-satisfied person I have ever heard. I mean, you do it my way or you don't do it, buddy, and that is just about the way she talked to me. I paid the $100 or $150 for nothing. They did nothing for me. Even the supervisor called and said that was the way they do it. I would never buy anything from them again. The man who came out was very nice and I thought we would be doing something. He was good but I wrote the check out for $100 and that was it. First of all when I called I had to wait three weeks before they would come out and look at it. Their punctuality was very poor.

While the installation was subcontracted out, the quality and workmanship of the windows was/is excellent.

We have two Pella aluminum clad sliding doors. One on the main floor and one on the walk out basement. The upper doors leaked water. I found that the aluminum cladding at the bottom part opened up and let water in resulting in the wood frame rotting over time and eventually let water in either from rain or snow. I live in a development where the homes were built by the same builder. I found out that my neighbors had the same problem. I contacted Pella about this and they said there is nothing they can do about it. I was quite disappointed in their response considering their reputation plus being an American made product. Update: Their office called me and a service rep came. After inspecting the sliding door and a window that had the same problem, they later came back with an estimate. Their cost to replace one sliding door panel alone was more than what I could buy an entire sliding door for. And this was just for the part. This was a very dismaying experience from a company like Pella.

Pella's installer was "Home Specialists" of Grand Rapids. Their design and installation was superior. Five years latter, no sagging, blinds work great. Would chose Pella again for windows . Were impressed with Home Specialists and have used them on three more projects including a complete main level remodel. They are now working out details for another difficult project in the condo we recently moved into.

I was very satisfied with both the Pella representative and the installers.

Pella Windows and Doors were very nice individuals. They did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards and there was no touch-up work that we had to do. When they replaced our windows, they did all the work and it was done when they left.

We have used them before. I would recommend them because of the quality, workmanship and style. We were were quite happy with them.

Their guy was just terrific, but the Pella windows were just outrageously expensive. The technician came back and did my wife's art room as a non-Pella project. All the Pella stuff is top quality, but is very expensive. You get what you pay for.

Pella Windows and Doors have quality windows, professional workers and very easy to work with. We had no issues.

It turned out really well. The only issue that we had was related to an ice storm. They contracted to have a gentleman come out and he assured me it had nothing to do with the door. It was a branch that went through the roof. He helped me figure all of that out. There was no charge for him coming out. They are higher in price but you get what you pay for. It did hurt paying that much.

Everything was five stars and I would recommend them. Installation was very good.

The windows were installed without incident. They are beautiful. They are casement style windows and we have not had a single problem with them. Actually, one of the screens was delivered with a big slice in it and the salesman replaced it within a few days. Actually, in the year following the window installation, I noticed that some of the metal flashing was not cut as accurately or neatly as I would have liked it. I felt it was too late to call and ask to have it fixed. All in all, the quality of the installation was good, but it was not great. The door, however, was another thing. It is a fiberglass door, prepainted from the company. It took three doors to get one that was painted nicely. Without being horribly picky, the paint job was terrible on the first two. There were splotchy areas, drips, bare spots.The installer could tell instantly that it wasn't right and we rescheduled each time. Frankly, the last door was not perfect, but I felt it was not worth my time pursue a perfect door, and I felt I would never get one that was perfect. The door we have is great. (But for the price, I expected perfect.)

Once the door arrived it took about 3 hours for them to repair and cleanup.

They did a good job and there was no problem, what so ever. They tried and matched the lowest bid I received. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

We were very satisfied with them. Every other year we did several windows, so we have had interactions with them for many years now. They were always timely and punctual. We also had a couple of blinds that needed to be replaced, and they did a good job with those too.

the company sold me new window shades that didn't fit. They claim that the original windows were the wrong size for new shades even though they sold the new ones to me. They took the old ones out, leaving me with shades that won't work. They have not offered a solution beyond a custom ordered shade. This isn't the first time Pella has not performed. Two replacements of skylights that they wouldn't stand behind so I drywalled over them.

The salesperson was very good, thorough and not pushy. He called during the construction to be sure all was going well. The workers were very friendly and polite. They used drop-cloths for the indoor work. The work went quite quickly. They communicated well. My husband was not happy with all of the clean-up work (some debris left in bushes, etc.) and they came out quickly to redo it. I should point out my husband is fussier than average. :) Overall, we are very happy with them. Pella windows are not cheap. :)

MY HUSBAND CALLED AND THEY CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY TO GIVE HIM A QUOTE THEY REMOVED THE 12 OLD WINDOWS IN OUR FAMILY ROOM AND REPLACED THEM IN 1 DAY! THEY REALLY KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING. CLEANED UP THE MESS AND WERE DONE.

THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK. THEY CAME OUT AND THE JOB DONE IN ONE DAY. THEY WERE POLITE AND CARING. THEY CLEANED UP VERY WELL AFTER THEMSELVES WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.
