Description of Work: Mr. Roof showed up with a large crew, and had my fairly large roof completely torn off, plywood replaced, and new shingles on within half a day. Appreciate the lifetime guarantee for the roof. It's great knowing we will never had to replace the roof, and it can pass to the next owners. Another two workers put up new facia and soffits another day. Looks great. Suggestion: get a clear picture of current TV and print deals based on a per square price. Also, they advertised a free solar roof fan in the deal so I had to ask for it. They didn't offer the free extras. Research and ask for the deals.

Description of Work: We had someone come out for an estimate on a new roof, 2 skylights and new siding. The appointment was at 5:00 pm. The estimator was early. He spent a lot of time chatting my husband up, cracking jokes, and studying the plants in my garden. Yes, you read that right. He was here for FOUR hours. I was expecting maybe an hour and a half. My husband had to wolf down his supper while the guy was measuring some stuff and later he had to excuse himself to say a quick good night to our 4 kids at 7:00 pm. The estimator then showed us a presentation of how their products are all patented and nobody else has anything like them. Which makes it impossible to realistically compare them to anyone! They just expect you believe theirs are the best. The last hour of the appointment was spent sitting in our living room watching the estimator do the math to come up with the estimate and share it with us. Yup, we sat there in silence while he typed a bunch of numbers in his calculator and jotted a bunch of notes. At 8:45 pm he said something along the lines of, "I bet you're ready for me to get outta here." To which I replied, "Well it has been almost 4 hours." After that comment he quickly wrapped things up and was out the door a little before 9:00 pm. While we liked that the work was guaranteed to be done in one day and the fact that their shingle removal method was very neat and clean, we decided to go with a local, family owned business. (Whose estimator was here an hour to measure, scheduled a 2nd appointment to discuss the estimate, and then LEFT to do the calculating! Genius!)

 + -1 moreThe company showed up a day late, damaged items in the yard, did not give us a warranty in writing, and did not give us a release of liens. We had to call them tp find out why they didn't show up on the scheduled date (they said they didn't get prior job done). They tried to pull out our low voltage lighting, apparently thinking they were solar lights. Now two lights don't work. Two ceramic items in the yard were also broken. We were told they had a scissors truck that would be raised to the roof to catch the removed shingles. They didn't use that truck and instead the shingles were just shoved off the roof into the yard. We were promised a check for the damaged items. It has been weeks and no check has arrived. Funny how we had to pay them on the day of roofing, but they can't seem to pay us for weeks. We have asked for a written warranty and a release of liens, which we were told we would receive on the day of the roofing, We haven't received them either. The crew was hispanic and didn't speak english, except for the supervisor. They ate lunch in the yard, which was ok, but they left fried chicken bones through the yard, which our dogs found that night. We like our roof, but the company is not responsive after they leave and don't do what they represent. We paid more for them because of the warranty, release of liens, scheduled work day, and scissor truck to protect the landscape, none of which we got. The work was done on my second house in Ada, Mi, but I would no think of using them here in view of their attitude.
