Moore & Sons Roofing

May 2020 Moore & Sons Roofing cracked my cement driveway. They even inspected it and acknowledged that they cracked my cement driveway. After phone calls they decided not to repair or compensate me if I were to have it repaired.

Jermey came climbed on roof there for 10 min said get back to me via email or whatever and never did, I left numerous messages on cell and email numbers I had from his business card with no bounce backs ! I did not call as was in Europe. Completely dissed me😩 No calls, text, emails after shaking my hand!

They were responsive and did quality service and communication.

They were busy so took awhile for them to start, but when they did it went fast. He had a full crew out here and they were totally done in 2 1/2 days. Cleaned up well each night and when they were finished.

Quality work for a GREAT PRICE!! Had roof on my 2 story home replaced for just under 10K. Dave K. was our field representative (sales guy). He's a straight forward person and great to work with. After roof was done I had it inspected for peace of mind (since I'm not a roofer) by tom at alert inspection in hudsonville, MI. Tom is an experienced roofer 20+ yrs. He told me he could tell they didn't skimp on materials and after telling him what we paid to have our roof done, he said he would of thought we paid more.

Initial work was good. Noticed a section of roof that was sunken in with a hump towards the front. Upon further inspection found a soft section with a depression underneath. Why shingle over this? Called 6 times so far with no response. What about their 50 year platinum warranty? My new roof is only 2 months old. Very disappointed.

So far so good. Our roof gave up the ghost earlier than planned (major leak in family room). Jeremiah and the folk at Moore and Sons gave us a prompt estimate and were able to complete the work in less than a day before winter set in. Looks great. Minimal debris left behind (their vacuum even got a lot of our leaves!). Recommended.

We did not use them. We needed a repair for a roof leak. When I called to ask about getting an estimate for a repair, their first question was 'Did we install the roof', which they did not. Then they asked how old the roof was, approx. 7 yrs. Then they said unfortunately they are book up for over a year for roof repairs. So basically, based on the questions the receptionist asked, they don't do a repair probably unless they can sell you a new roof.

Work was done to my satisfaction. The quote had to be amended and work changed once started due to a section of the roof that boards on the roof were replaced with plywood.

When we were deciding on the color of shingles, the office was great about getting us addresses near us of homes they had done in those particular colors. In fact, communication was great all around. Once work started, they discovered that the decking (boards underneath the shingles) were in much worse shape than we thought; that the original builder in 1989 had used the cheapest and thinnest OSB available. At that point I was contacted by both the sales rep and one of the Moore sons who explained the situation, texted me pictures of the damage since I was at work, and explained the options. They even offered to put the new decking on at cost since it was an emergency situation. So the roof ended up costing $2,000 more than planned, but I did not feel taken advantage of and appreciated the great communication. I arrived home while the crew was still putting boards down; the yard was already clean from removal of the old roof. The crew was very nice and they worked until dark, arriving the next morning to finish up a few hours because of the unexpected delay. Everything was cleaned up thoroughly (bonus: my back deck needed a blower taken to it anyway, but they did that as part of their cleanup so I didn't have to!) I'm glad I won't have to do another roof probably as long as we own this house, but it could have been a lot worse of an experience. I would definitely recommend Moore and Sons to others.

I called Moore & Sons to have a quote done on a complete roof replacement on our house including a new skylight replacement. We had 3 different contractors come to do quotes and Moore & Sons were the best. Tony was our Sales Representative and he was nothing short of informative, professional and his communication was so very appreciated. I knew nothing about roofing as this is our first house and after our first consultation, I felt that we were in good hands and I knew more about what we were going to need to do. They just finished the roof yesterday and already the house looks a lot better. The crew and foreman who were onsite were very nice and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves every day. Thank you Tony for your help in getting this project done - I will highly recommend you!

They're willing to put in hot sweaty labor. I would recommend them anywhere. They clean up well and really do a nice job. The roof looked outstanding. They left me with beautiful roof.

Simply fantastic. They exceeded my (high) standards and expectations. I could not rave about them enough.

It was done in a timely manner, happy with clean-up, etc. One thing they did not replace was the rotted wood around my chimney, this leaked and was repaired. The original leak between house and deck is still there. I call a few times each year, they have given up and have started to ignore my calls. It has been leaking 4 years and it is a life-time warranty

I called them several times for an estimate and they never returned my call.

They don't provide snow and ice removal from roof

Great company with a great reputation. They were very detailed on what they were going to be doing and what products they were going to use. They had my roof completed in about 6-7 hours and cleanup was outstanding. I would highly recommend them.

Ed Moore, of Moore & Sons Roofing, was immediately interested in trying to help me problem-solve. He examined the roof like an inspector would, and even asked if he could see the attic so that he could accurately assess the effects of the insulation and venting. (Fortunately, my attic is fairly accessible, so he was able to get the information he needed quite quickly.) It was clear to me that he wanted to get the "big picture" before answering my specific questions. He ended up recommending 6-inch-wide gutters on two of three sides, and gave me the name of the person he contracts with, since Moore & Sons doesn't do gutter work directly. We then went up on the roof together. He pointed out the types of seams that didn't additional reinforcing--and the ones that DO need attention. He also looked at my chimney and recommended a product that I can spray on to preserve the brick from further decay. He explained the history of the product that's currently on my roof and explained new alternatives so that I know what's available when my roof needs to be replaced in the next five- to ten years. And he recommended I continue doing the minor patching of the fascia that I've been doing, saving any major carpentry repairs until when the whole roof is replaced. Ed was engaging, professional, and very customer-focused. The next time I hear someone talking about roofing issues, I'll recommend they first talk with Moore & Sons before hiring any work done. And when the time comes for my roof to be replaced, I know who I'll be calling.

These guys did a great job. Removed old roof and replace with new roof. Finished in one day.

Jose and his crew were on time, efficient, professional and they did a comprehensive clean up. Salesman Tony stopped by talked with neighbors to let them know if there were any problems etc...My one neighbor was home and is very particular and said she was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. We met with 4 other roofing companies who were higher in price and didn't offer all that Moore and Sons did. Owens Corning roof is a great product but the install, craftsmanship and clean up far exceeded our high expectations. We have a lot of roof and had light installed so price is higher due to that.

He was so great. It was a big job and he did it all in one day. There was no mess and no fuss. There were absolutely no nails left on the ground. I have recommended them to all my neighbors.
