We contacted Montell Construction after reading favorable reviews on Angie's List. Our first contact with Montell was George and we found him to be punctual, knowledgeable, and very personable. Although the price was higher than other companies, the quality of product was far superior. After deciding on a start date, the roofing team showed up on time. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They completed the job in a very timely manor and did a fantastic job of cleaning up the yard! The whole experience starting with George to the roofing team was fantastic! We love the roof and we couldn't be happier!!

all of the workmen on the job were polite and professional, helpful in decision making. The sales staff were comfortable to work with. Everyone stressed that they wanted us to be happy with the work and happily complied with any changed we wanted.

I was very disappointed in being a no-show for two appointments and how the owner of the business handled the situation. Extremely unprofessional.

The owner met with me and went over possibilities for siding and doors. After the meeting, the manager came out the next week and did detailed measurements, and once the siding was delivered, the crew began work (probably about 2 weeks later). The job took less than a week, and once the door was ready, another crew came in to install it and complete the siding job. I was impressed with the meticulous attention to detail. I am very happy with the result, and have contracted with Montell to replace the roof and a few windows.

I highly recommend this company and plan on hiring them again as needed. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the product and worked performed by the competent and skilled staff of Montell Construction. I received multiple quotes for (6) replacement windows and (2) sliding glass doors and felt I was dealing with used car salesmen until I dealt with Chad of Montell Construction. He was prompt, courteous, professional and most importantly, honest. The initial quote was his bottom-line without the pressure of an immediate commitment and when a calculation error in the quote was later discovered, the company absorbed the loss instead of passing the cost onto me. I found this honorable and it demonstrated good business acumen. The special order windows and glass doors arrived to the warehouse earlier than the approximated timeframe and I was given more than adequate notice of the planned installation date. Once again, I dealt with prompt,courteous and professional staff of Montell Construction. My previous sliding glass doors were not standard size and it took additional time and effort to maintain the integrity and symmetry when enlarging the opening to accommodate the new sized doors. Will's experience and expertise is evident in the end result, especially his attention to detail in the reframing of the doors, both inside and out. Once the job was completed, Roger came out to assess the installation of each window and door and to address any questions or issues; there weren't any due to Will's thoroughness and exemplary craftsmanship. Almost eight weeks after installation, a problem developed with one of the glass siding doors. I contacted Montell Construction and within a day, Roger was out to assess the issue (a manufacturing defect) and a new door is on order. This company stands by their work and product; they take pride in their service and in this day and age, that can't be said for many corporations.

Montell gave us a proposal that was high compared to two other contractors. We reviewed the bill of material and scope and came to an agreed upon price. The windows were ordered and arrived in the estimated time. Installation was one day as quoted. After the windows were installed but before the final trim sanding I noticed that one of the windows would not close completely. I called George at Montell and the same day they were out to adjust the window. The exterior trim matches well and the installation was done to our expectations. Good work!

Unlike most of the quotes I had received from roofers in the area, this was the first that didn't first try to sell on me on purchasing a whole new roof. Being a single, female homeowner also wasn't an issue and I never once felt as if I was looked at like I was dumb like I had experienced with others. The owner, George, came out on a Saturday on Labor Day weekend to give me a quote and I was more than pleased. He was very kind, explained everything to not only me, but to my father over the phone, and was extremely courteous. After the quote, the construction started the following week. The roofers were very nice and courteous. The last day they were here, they even started about an hour later to accommodate my second shift work schedule and let me sleep in a little longer! Overall, I was extremely pleased. I'd love to use them again.

The price was high and then the salesman came down; I did not like that because I would rather have an honest price from the get go. I know how construction in our area works and I got a bad taste in my mouth because they weren’t willing to give me the good deal right off the bat. He was very courteous and knowledgeable, and he understood what our needs and concerns were. He had good product knowledge and he was good about getting back to us, but he was trying to sell me.

The job was done very well. The sales estimate and negotiations with Chad were pleasant. The financial deal through EnerBank was painless and confidence-inspiring (EnerBank acts like an escrow account, that wouldn't pay Montell or bill us until we gave the OK). There was a typical long quiet period while we waited for the job to start, but it wasn't too long and we did get a friendly update when we asked. The first job was done by an experienced builder who could have rebuilt our house from the ground up. He worked hard and late over two days, cleaned up after himself and was all around good company. A week or so later, the gutter crew arrived and cranked out great new gutters in a half day. The promised roof flashing was overlooked, but our call was well-received and the work was completed a few days later. After two months, we have no further water in our basement through several heavy rains, the new gutters look good and don't clog easily, and we paid less than half what we'd have had to pay when we got our first quotes for this work by separate basement and gutter specialists. We'd recommend Montell to anyone.

The work has been good so far. They were very responsive when I had called after the work was completed to come back and pick up nails in the yard. I would recommend this company.
