Montell Construction

Description of Work: we rec'd quotes from 6 different roofers. We found Montell at the Grand Rapids Home & Garden show. We were interested in having them come out based on the work they have done, and known for quality. However unfortunately due to circumstances I do not know about our first appt with them was postponed, not a big deal as it was rescheduled to a weekend, which was a plus. It was positive that they were able to come on a weekend. Unfortunately they were the last contractor I had seen and we had a wealth of information prior to their visit. The gentleman knew that they were last to the table, but did do a good job measuring, but their pricing was significantly higher than the other quotes we rec'd. We ending spending about $8500, not the least expensive, but it was right in the middle price wise. Montell does do good work, i have seen some of their other projects. We would have them quote again.

Description of Work: His add says that I can receive a quote with no obligation. He wrote three prices on a piece of paper. When I said I would like a list of what the quote included he said a complete roof job. His initial price was twice that of other quotes. He also would not leave the quote and demanded that I make a decision immediately to get the quote. He even took his business card and stomped out when I said I wanted to compare quotes not make a decision today, 7/30/11.
