To Whom This May Concern, I would like to take a moment to briefly respond to the member’s comments relating to our free estimate given last week. First of all I would like to say that salesperson he is referring to is me, and I am very sorry if he felt I was pushy and/or non informative...lacking a written proposal. It is very important to me and my entire family here at Montell Construction that we help all people accomplish their goals, whether or not they purchase from us or not. It matters very little how I may have seen the appointment go, if we disappointed anyone for any reason I will take full responsibility and I cannot apologize enough. I will say this, only to explain; I showed up on time for this free estimate...met w/ the member and discussed his concerns (active leaking roof)...measured and inspected entire roof....we sat down and I briefly explained our company...explained the entire project (materials, time frames, clean up procedures, etc.). The member shared w/ me that one of his estimates was as high as 15,000.00, but he had others that were lower, one I could not come close to at 6000.00. To the best of my memory, I was right in the middle and w/ our current promotions I actually got the price down 20% or so and was among the lowest. I would like to say that some of our potential clients take their own notes as to our suggestions, I do not like to leave my "playbook" as to how we do things esp. in a very competitive situation w/ the homeowner already having 4 estimates w/ 3 more coming. I may have appeared to leave abruptly, however I have been handling 6-10 estimates per day...I felt he wanted the sales presentation to get over quickly. It does not matter, the only thing I can do is say that I am sorry for not leaving written estimate and there is no excuse for me to leave (offending someone). Member, I would like you to know that at anytime you'd like to take the family out to dinner...please call me and let me know where and I will send you a $50.00 gift card if you will accept my apologies.
