Ivan is great!!! So nice kind and patient!

This is the second time I have used Ivan and Metrofence and this experience was as good as the last. Ivan is very prompt on getting you quotes, he is fair with price and he communicates very well regarding his schedule and when your work will be done. My job was difficult due to the moving schedule of a newly built home and needing the fence in the heart of the summer and his busy time. Ivan communicated when product was ordered, called me to let me know when it came in and when he expected to start. He kept me in the loop as he had issues with Miss Dig that were limiting his progress. My yard was all clay and not fun to work in, but Ivan did a wonderful job with the conditions and the fence looks wonderful. He is very tidy and he cleans his jobsite up wonderfully. He asked where I wanted the dirt from the fence posts and he put it where I asked. Other fence companies I have worked with leave the piles of dirt right where they dig the post and leave the mess for the homeowner, not Ivan. I would recommend Metrofence to anyone needed a fence and actually have recommended him to many others.

Ivan did a fantastic job. I cannot rate him highly enough. He worked with us every step of the way, and kept us apprised of his schedule until we had a firm date on the calendar. He and his assistant worked very hard, were professional at all times while onsite, and the fence and the two gates they installed look fantastic. We are very happy we went with Metrofence.

My dog had been jumping my fence. I called Ivan, being a dog owner he understood how important it was to raise the fence and get it done fast. He was very polite and professional and even thought of a way to save me some money. I felt like he put my job first knowing how much I loved my dog and they finished it in the same day. Sadly, my bad dog can jump over 5ft!

I found Ivan and Metro Fence on Angie's List after never hearing of that company before. The reviews were great on him and the company, so I gave a call. He got out as quick as he could (I called in June right during his busiest time) to give me an estimate. His estimate was the lowest of the 3 I got. He was very upfront about his schedule and that I was about 6 weeks out before he could get to me. He kept that schedule, communicated wonderfully about when he would be there, what he would do and how long it would take him. He followed through on them all. He also asked where we wanted the dirt he dug up to place poles and he put it right where I asked him to. His work was so neat, you could barely see where he had dug holes in the yard to place poles. The fence looks great and is of good quality. I would recommend Ivan to anyone and actually have. I just built a new house and am going to fence in a very large portion of the property for my dogs and plan to use Ivan and Metro fence again. I am not even going to call anyone else!!!

We got a quote from Ivan after reading all of the great reviews on Angie's List. His price was the middle of the 3 we got, but Ivan was the only one who knew the building codes for our area. He also got our permits and called Miss Dig. The gentleman from Lowes said he would put the fence where we said and if we were wrong, we'd have to pay to move it. We wanted one section of removable fence. Lowe's was perfectly fine putting our gate and the removable section right next to each other. Ivan said that doing so would compromise the integrity of the gate and recommended we NOT do that. The gate is exceptionally sturdy and is integrated perfectly in the fence. You can hardly tell it's there. Ivan was prompt and very polite. He took the time to explain the way he was doing things and why. Ivan works HARD! The weather was in the 90's with high humidity - poor guy! Our fence is PERFECT and looks beautiful! It's changed the way we use the space and our dogs can run around and get their energy out, which we love. We live on a corner lot, so there is a lot of exposure to neighbors and we have gotten a lot of compliments. WE LOVE OUR FENCE! Ivan is a perfectionist and it shows in his workmanship. You will not be disappointed in the end result.

I sent them an inquiry to secure work on our new property in a different county and have never heard back from anyone. Would not and will not do business with them now.

He was very prompt and honest. He clearly know what he was doing.

I was having issues with a neighbor after a land survey was done and well sometimes fences do make better neighbors. I explained the situation to Ivan and he was very professional and considerate. Him and his assistant were extra careful when working on my neighbors side of the fence so not to ruffle anymore feathers. The fence is wonderful! They did a fantastic job with everything! My other neighbor was so impressed that she hired them to install the same fence in her yard. I will definitely use them again!

Ivan was great from start to finish. He came and gave the estimate and followed it through all the way to the end. Going in I knew there would be a delay as the work was backed up however he was very up front about that. I appreciate Ivan who gave the estimate was the same guy who came and did the job. He provided a quality fence in a tricky configuration (which I asked for) and delivered an A+ job. Thanks guys you are great!

They did a great job. Very professional and detail oriented. They communicate well. Cleaned up well. No surprises. No problems.

The craftsmanship is excellent and Ivan was very helpful with tips about how to properly care for and stain it. He was very good about communicating timelines, etc., and they cleaned up every day after themselves. Those poor guys built the fence on the hottest days of the year (90+ degrees) and did it with a smile and professionalism. We got a great value and I've never been so happy to write a contractor a check!

They did an excellent job. They knew how to do what they needed to do, they put up the fences and he knew the in and out of what you needed to do for permits and the area and gave me a really good price and the quality is excellent. He was very responsive for coming out to see me when I couldn't make it and even if it was getting dark or later, and they worked to finish it before winter so it was very good, I highly recommend them.

It went slow at first, poor guys had a tie blow on their truck, on the way to our house. Once started, they finished in two days, cleared all limbs and brush out of the area, trenched where needed to ensure levelness of fence, set a level line and begun digging holes and cemented each pole. The next day, they added all the hardware, installed the fencing and tension wires and all gates. Any extra sand, we told them to throw in the woods. Both guys doing the job were professional and courteous. On the second day here, a limb had fallen across our driveway. I was the only one here and the first guy here, moved the limb for me!!

I contacted them over 2 months ago after reading the reviews on here. He was booked up solid until July. I decided to wait because it sounded like I would get my money's worth. They came on Saturday and set the poles. Were back this morning, Monday, and it probably took them a little over an hour to put the fence up, piece by piece. 16 ft wide x 6 ft high. They did a beautiful job. No mess left behind. Great guys to work with.

I'd never heard of Metrofence before, but read several very positive reviews about these guys and what a quality job they do. That sold me on them.. so I called to get a Quote. Ivan and Toby stopped by.. checked things out. Ivan made the suggestion to tear down all of the chain link fence and also my neighbors side fence (which was up against our chain link fence) and replace it with one new fence (hadn't thought of that, but talked to my neighbor and he agreed it'd look much better doing it that way). Got my estimate a day or two later from Ivan which was close to what I expected, so we hired them. They worked Tues afternoon thru Friday. and put up a top quality cedar fence..built on site. Ie., this wasn't pre-made panels, they nailed each and every board to the fence and made sure it followed the slope of our backyard. As Ivan predicted, this fence absolutely transformed our yard. I wasn't even aware of how bad it looked with all the 2 foot weeds buried in the chain link fence until this new fence was up. All I could say was and quot;wowand quot;..it now looks like a park! What a difference! Toby and Ivan are two hard working guys. They pay attention to details and do it right. They are very meticulous.. and tidy.. they did a nice job cleaning up.. hauled away all the old fencing, spread excess dirt around... I didn't have to do a thing afterwards except admire our new fence. Both of my neighbors let us know they thought it looked great and commented on the and quot;qualityand quot;. We are very happy we went with Metrofence to have this fence built. The final cost was spot on with the estimate. No surprises.

I called three contractors like I normally do for any project. All fence quotes came back with prices very close to each other. Metrofence's was the lowest price. I don't always go with the lowest price but this time I did because of the time and care Ivan took to explain what type of materials he used compared to his competitors. Ivan spent a great deal of time with me the night he quoted the fence. My dogs are very important to me and he understood this and talked about his dog. Ivan is a great guy. We have underground sprinkling so I was worried about them possibly hitting a sprinkling line. Ivan said that if they hit one, they would do their best to repair it even though it really is my responsibility. This brought me a lot of comfort knowing that they would becareful and if something did go wrong they would try to correct it. Ivan's timing was a little bit longer than the competitors because he was so busy. (There's a reason why they are so busy, they do awesome work!!) I really needed the fence up because of our new puppy and her wandering. I'm so glad I waited for Metrofence to do this project. Ivan got me in a little earlier than expected so it all worked out great. The fence is gorgeous. You can hardly see where they dug the holes for the posts. Their work was very clean and professional. You will not be disappointed with this company, I highly recommend them. Ivan cares about his company and it will show in his professionalism, follow-up, and work.

We requested an estimate from Metrofence based on the excellent reviews provided by clients on Angie's List. Ivan and Toby came to our home at the agreed time with samples of fencing and an album of photographs of projects they had worked on. We discussed the neighborhood covenants and I gave Ivan a copy of the survey report. They walked the fence line to visually familiarize themselves with the proposed project. Their visual survey was complicated by about a foot and a half of snow on the ground and an eight foot pile of snow plowed from the driveway into the proposed path of the decorative aluminum fencing. After reviewing the area, Ivan discussed a few recommendations which we were happy to know about. After we verbally agreed on what we wanted, he indicated that he would e-mail an estimate which he did with separate pricing for a few options we were undecided about at the time of our meeting. We accepted the offer indicating the options we preferred Ivan arranged the building permit which I then went to the Village Offices to sign because a homeowner signature was required. Ivan and Toby began the work as scheduled. Because I am retired I was able to observe the entire project from start to finish. I have to say that they are both very articulate and easy to talk to and have great senses of humor. Throughout, they each displayed the meticulous attention to detail and the coordination of effort one only sees in skilled craftsmen. Not only was there no debris scattered about there was no debris in the area where they were working. Ongoing cleanup was an integrated part of the work process. Not only was each element of the work measured and re-measured to achieve precise placement of the various components, but the placement of each element of the fence was eyeballed from various locations with consideration toward the aesthetics of the final result. This same level of precision was applied throughout the entire project including areas which cannot be seen from the house or any area of the yard where guests are likely to be. The back areas of the fence are as aesthetically pleasing as are the front areas. Although the fence passes through woods and there are numerous grade changes the fence runs arrow straight from corner to corner and there are no sharp changes in the angle of the fence which is smoothly contoured to fit the land. There are no gaps between the fence and the ground to cause concern about our dog escaping the yard. The fence is terrific and exceeds our expectations. I have always believed that in each line of work there are true artisans who take the work product up a notch or two above what anyone would expect. Ivan and Toby are true artisans. All of my neighbors like the fence. We have been having various contractors do other work at the house and they have all asked who put in the beautiful fence These guys do really great work and I am very pleased to be able to recommend them to anyone who is interested in having a functional, beautiful fence.

High winter winds tore down part of my dilapidated privacy fence and the rest was hanging on by a thread. (The previous homeowner had been an ambitious DIYer and had done a mediocre job on the fence.) I called Ivan and set up an appointment for an estimate for the section that had fallen as well as the section between the garage and house. He arrived promptly along with a portfolio of his work for me to look at. We talked about the job, including permits and a variance needed for the second section of fence because of new city codes. The email estimate arrived and I scheduled the work to replace the section of fence that would not need a variance. Because of inclement weather, the job was pushed back slightly. When they arrived, there were several inches of snow on the ground as well as what the neighbors piled up against the old fence. Ivan asked where to pile the snow before starting. Once the snow was moved, the old fence was torn down and the new fence went up quickly and efficiently. (Metrofence custom builds the fence as opposed to installing pre-built sections.) They hauled away the old fence as well as some pieces of old lumber that had been partially buried along the fence. After the fence was completed, Ivan asked me to inspect the work before asking for payment. He also let me know that he stands by his work and to contact him if there are any issues. The fence is sturdy and looks great! Now that the snow has melted, I can also see that there was very little disturbance/damage to the grass on either side of the fence. If it weren't for the new fence, I wouldn't even know they'd been there. I plan on contacting him when I'm ready to replace the other section of fence.

They were on time for the estimate and work complete. I had 221' of tall cedar facedand quot;Dog Earand quot; fence built on site. My property is on a hill and the fence looks great. They also added a chain link dog run to the side of my house and repaired a portion of a existing fence at no charge. I would use them again. I am pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of the company.

Called for an estimate, and Ivan arrived as scheduled. Gave us an estimate and told us when he could schedule us. Followed up going into the scheduled date and informed us when things would be completed. Everything was done on time and at the estimated cost. The work they did was of very high quality. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

I learned about Metrofence from a neighbor. After getting two totally different quotes from other fence companies, I decided to call Metrofence for one last quote. Ivan was great from the start — very honest, friendly and was really easy to talk to. He brought photos of work he had done and gave us a lot more options than anyone else. And in the end, his quote was actually lower than the others. They built the fence quickly, let me know if there were any issues along the way and in the end it turned out amazing. Our backyard has a huge slope down, so it was a lot more work than a normal yard, but Ivan never complained, and there are absolutely no gaps at the bottom of the fence (which is good - because we have a dog). I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone and would use them again in a heartbeat.

This was the second time we used this company. The first time was to have gates installed at our old house- He time a beautiful job than so we decided to hire him a second time when we moved to our new home. We were not dissapointed. Ivan was always punctual and on time- He gave us a projected start date that was adhered to. We did have to wait but being in the summer during their busy season this is normal. Ivan was able to discuss with us what we needed and helped us stay within our budget. No high pressure sales tatics- just good honest opinions and answers. The job was completed to our specifications and in a timely manner. Start to finish it took less than a week. He was very good of informing us if he was delayed for some reason be it weather or if he was held up. Over-all a wonderful experience- The fence is beatiful and the job extremely professional.

The workmanship is excellent. Ivan followed up a few days later to see that everything was alright and to tell us that if any problem arises with the fence, to call him. I thought Ivan was very pleasant to work with. There are no pressure tactics used and I felt we got a good product for the money.
