Charles was able to schedule our appointment on a Sunday afternoon (we were in an emergency due to the need to close on the property). Charles was very thorough and professional. He was prompt for the appointment and provided a very comprehensive inspection. They provide the details of the home inspection report through an online web portal, and a pdf copy of the report can also be downloaded to have as a permanent record. The inspection was great, and he documented any item he found, as even something that may seem trivial can become a serious issue if left unaddressed. We feel secure in knowing that addressing the small items he uncovered will insure the home is safe and sound for years to come. I would not hesitate in recommending Home Inspection Services of Michigan to anyone needing these services.

When I was calling around to compare various inspection services, I called Inspection Services of Michigan and talked to Chuck Wiersum. He told me about the many years of experience he had (40+ if I recall) so I decided to go with him. What I didn't expect was for a different inspector, Charlie, with only 2 years of experience to show up and do the actual inspection (yes, they're both named Charles, and this was actually a different person). And what's more, as I was chatting with Charlie at the end, he said to me and quot;my buddy Chuck could spot something in 5 minutes that would take me 2 hours.and quot; I have to say, that didn't inspire a whole lot of confidence in the inspection just completed. However, I have been living in the house now for about 9 months and I am satisfied with the thoroughness of the inspection. I haven't uncovered any serious oversights or inaccuracies in the report. As a first-time home buyer, I was pretty much at the mercy of the inspector. I had no idea what to look for or what questions to ask, but Charlie seemed very knowledgeable and pointed out things I wouldn't have even thought to ask. He also took photos and annotated them on his computer so I didn't need to take my own notes. We explored every inch possible from basement to roof. Overall, it gave me a much clearer picture of the house and increased my confidence that there would be no surprises.

They were great. They were very thorough and professional. They were extremely knowledgeable with what they were doing. Their customer interface is great because they want you there walking around with them. They were punctual with the appointments and if there are any questions they make sure that they are all addressed. I have used this company twice and would give the same report for the second job. Everything was just as thorough, professional, and excellent as the first experience.
