This contractor recommended installing drain tile in the interior perimeter of my house, which is a duplex. The estimate called for two additional sump pumps to be installed, even though I already have two sump pumps. This was supposed to take care of the water that is coming into the home but not stop the water from coming in. My original concern was a crack in the foundation that was allowing water to flood each time it rained significantly. This contractor said they would only repair the crack if I decided to commit to the full project. I have researched this and discovered that since my basement is cinder block there is no way to fix the crack from the inside. This contractor would have charged me $100 to fix this crack and they should know that it's not possible to repair a crack from the inside. I had gutters and downspouts installed with tile diverting the water away from my home and now there is no leak in my basement. When I called and informed them that I wanted to prevent the water from coming into my home they called back and asked if they could perform that work for me. I consider this contractor to be deceitful and unethical and I would never recommend them. I could have spent $11,000 on a project that would have not stopped water from coming into my basement.

They had to come back because I had a little bit of water in an adjacent room. They came back to do some more work. Their work was good.

My wife and I purchased a fixer-upper in August of 2013. We knew the home had basement water problems because the previous owners had someone install a fix from the inside. This fix was nothing more than a band-aid, because it did not resolve the leaking problem, it just re-routed the water to the sump pump once it came through the walls. After talking to several companies about how to do the job right and how much it would cost we chose Foundation Specialists. Brian Foster came out, looked at the problem, gave us his recommendation and price. After agreeing to the basement job we found out that they do other cement work as well, so we had them replace our front porch and front walk. The crew arrived when scheduled and completed the basement work in 2 days. They then came back and did the additional work in in 3 days. The crew was very knowledgeable in their trade and very friendly. A very wet spring has tested the work and I'm happy to say our basement is dry. I would highly recommend Foundation Specialists for basement water problems and any other concrete work as well.

Excellent response time - came when they said they would. did high quality work. workmen were polite and it was obvious they were skilled at their job. job was completed on time and to my satisfaction. No issues at all - would recommend to any one who needs basement work done for a dry basement or for cement work.
