This is a great shop that I've been using for years. Chuck runs the place and checks over the item as you arrive. Often he is on the phone answering questions but he doesn't let you wait long. This happened when I brought in my mower. They don't work on many mowers, only electric ones. I told him it wouldn't start and he explained how they would go about assessing the issue. Then a week later when it was ready, Chuck described how the repair went, what they found and how they remedied the wiring. I like the extra information so I appreciate this review of the work. Don't hesitate to use this icon in Grand Rapids. I had another electric mower, Sunbeam from 1960 that they evaluated. The motor had burned out and it was more than I wanted to spend for them to rebuild it. They recommended I look on line for another motor. They charge $15 to look over an item. Last year, Chuck saved me from replacing a bathroom exhaust fan. Replacing the fan blade, an $11 part solved the problem. Thank you, Chuck!

I was referred to Fixall when I was looking for a replacement blower motor for my air conditioner. I knew what was wrong and didn't want to wait/deal with a heating and cooling company for something I knew I could fix myself. I brought the broken part into Fixall and they were able to match the part I needed. Unfortunately, the exact match was not in stock, but they were able to give me another in-stock option that would work as well (but it pulled more power than the original motor.) I wanted the best replacement possible so I decided to order the motor that wasn't in stock. The shipping was extremely fast; I ordered the part on July 3 and had it July 5. I'm sure I would have had the motor sooner if it wasn't for the July 4 holiday. When I picked up the part, Chuck made sure that the motor worked exactly like my previous motor. He also made sure that I knew what I was doing when I installed the new part, and told me to call back if I had any questions while I was installing it. Fixall was a huge help and I would recommend their services to anyone. Knowledgeable people with quick, friendly service.

Our hot tub motor was making a really loud noise and needed repair. I called a hot tub guy but didn't want to pay a lot of money for a service call. He recommended taking it out and bringing it to Fixall which I did. When I dropped it off I asked them to call me with a diagnosis and estimate before repairing it. They told me they were, "about a week behind." They called exactly a week later and told me what was wrong with the motor with an estimate of $137 for repairs. I told them to go ahead and fix it and they called me the next day to say it was done. I went it to pick it up; they brought the repaired, cleaned motor out to my car and charged me exactly what they quoted. Nice job!
