Mike never contacted me in June. I contacted him via email and telephone, and he never replied. From this non-contact, and from the fact that he didn't want money at the time I accepted the estimate (this would have obligated him to finish the job), I came to realize that it was never his intention to complete the job. Like many contractors, it appears that he drummed up many commitments during the winter so that he would be busy during the warm months. I have dealt with contractors who were overwhelmed with business and either arranged to do the work later or contacted me and told me that I should hire someone else as they were hopelessly backlogged. I have never before dealt with a contractor who locked me into a contract (1) that he had no intention of completing and (2) regarding which he deliberately kept me in the dark as to his intentions. Finally, I wrote him and told him I no longer wanted his services, which forced me to find another contractor -- in the middle of the summer! This also seem,s to have been his intention -- to force the customer to cancel the arrangement, thus freeing him him of the obligation to complete a small job he had agreed to perform only as a stopgap from the beginning. I have an ugly and bared garden space in my entryway and will be lucky to have the conversion completed before November. The bottom line: based on my experience, unless you have a big and lucrative job, you are rolling the dice if you deal with Creative Brickscapes. He's impressive and knowledgeable, but he'll do the work only if it's convenient, and if it isn't, you will be left hanging.

Came out to look at project, never heard back. Nice fellow, not sure what happen to him.

Mike was polite and professional while he was reviewing the work to be done. He said that he would send me a quote, and that was the last I heard from him despite several phone calls. There was no email, no phone call, and no mailing. If the job was too small, than all that was necessary was to say so.

Although the project commenced later than the initial plans,Mike stayed in touch and updated me regularly.I was confident that he would be worth the wait and was proved correct.I had several contractors out prior to hiring Mike but immediately knew upon meeting him that he would be the best choice.He is so easy to work with and his perfectionism shows.Our plans and design were fluid and we consulted regularly on design and materials.I can honestly say I gave him more artistic license than I imagined I would as he has a natural sense of flow and design.I could not be more pleased with the results and look forward to continuing our project in the spring.Also Mike worked with Habitat @ our request to recycle as many pavers and walls from the pre-existing patio so there was minimal waste.He is extremely personable and flexible.

It took Mike three weeks to make my new space beautiful. And boy did he. The demo went fairly easy and the removal of all old material only took a couple days. I feel as though Mike listened to all of my wishes for the new patio, and he explain himself through the whole process. I asked many questions along the way, and he was very forthcoming with answers. Mike never showed inpatients with me, and always went beyond what was expected of him. Several days during this project the weather was awfully hot, and most of those days he kept on working. His work ethic is fantastic, and his wanting to do a good job showed. Mike's estimate for the job was primarily why he was chosen for the job at hand, but it was his character that sealed the deal. My patio looks fabulous, so I know I made the right choice. I have gained a and quot;Creative Brickscaperand quot; and a friend through this experience. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. THANKS AGAIN MIKE!!

I was thoroughly impressed by Mike and Creative Brickscapes throughout the entire process. I have a fairly small backyard with 2 dogs who had totally destroyed our yard and landscaping. I needed a dog friendly backyard that would be functional for our family and dogs. I had a vision for a park like backyard that was multidimensional with raised flower beds, seating areas, and a park bench swing. I wanted a low maintenance but beautiful area that would incorporate artistic designs and eliminate all grass areas. From the very beginning, it was clear that Mike was the only person (from several companies and people that I interviewed) who had vision for brickscaping and design for a large project. He listened to my ideas and helped me formulate a design for our backyard that incorporated all of my needs. He was very helpful with ideas, design tips, and brick options that would incorporate what I wanted and match my budget. His work was detail oriented and incorporated multiple brick colors, patterns, and borders that resulted in an extraordinary finished product. His work was truly a craft of artistry. He was always polite, considerate, and left our job site cleaned up at the end of each day. Despite a spring that was very rainy, he cheerfully worked through weather conditions into the evening and on Saturdays to complete the job by our needed completion date (Graduation Open House!). I would strongly recommend Mike and Creative Brickscapes to anyone. It was truly a pleasure working with him.

Mike did a wonderful job. The result is exactly what we wanted and it is beautiful! The project took three weeks and Mike is the only contractor I have ever worked with who started when he said he would, showed up every day and always kept us informed. He was careful, very hardworking and a nice guy. He even finished the project for less money than he had estimated. You couldn't find a better person to do your paving or brick landscaping!

Mike is a 1 man company so you get a very one on one relationship from the estimate to the finished product. Mike began the process with a very detailed sketch of the patio/firepit and an estimate. The prepping work for the patio was very labor intensive and detailed oriented. Once the prep work was done (digging down, laying gravel, laying sand, and making sure everything had a gentle run off slope) it was time for laying the brick. Mike was very detailed and precise in this stage as well. Our patio had many curves which looked difficult to cut but this process didn't take Mike very long. The final product looks AMAZING!

Mike did a great job for us on a retaining wall in the front of our house. He was actually referred to us from another company and he did a great job. He was very patient with us in the design process and followed exactly what we wanted. The project took less than a week and Mike cleaned up each day and made sure not to disrupt our busy household. Our son was very interested in the project and Mike let him observe and occasionally help when it was safe! We would highly recommend this company!

AMAZING! From start to finish, Mike was professional and very easy to work with. His quality of work is FANTASTIC!!
