Description of Work: I have an older home that's wired to service two pronged outlets. Over the years I have replaced the two prong outlets with three prong outlets just so that I can plug devices in without having to hunt for adapters. However, it's impossible to hook up the ground so I'm in violation of the Michigan Building Code. I was looking for an electrician who could inexpensively bring my house up to the standards of the Code. I stopped at Control Electric because they had a good rating on this list. To my pleasant surprise they explained to me that what I needed to have done was fairly simple and inexpensive - I needed to install a GFCI at the first outlet on each line and label the ungrounded outlets. They said I could do it myself and even explained how! And they didn't charge me for the advice.
