They were very helpful. I was out of town on vacation and the company conducting the auction was out of state. At times the whole process was confusing and the information available was unclear. Cheryl and her office coordinated a great deal of information, not only across state lines but also across cultural and language barriers. All the people at the auction company with whom we spoke were Indian and at times difficult to understand. I was certainly lost at times! Cheryl and her staff were able to straighten out some miss-communication and make the transaction go through despite some hiccups. When you're dealing with hundreds of thousands of dollars, you want to make sure things are done right. We had a situation where we wanted to sell our current home and move to a new one without having to find a place to live in between. Cheryl and her team were very proactive in helping us prepare our sale property (cleaning, decorating, packing, arranging furniture, taking photography, connecting with contractors/painters) while we went through the process viewing a number of homes we were interested in buying. Once we found a house we liked and had our offer accepted Cheryl held a one-day open house at the sale property, collected offers, and walked through them with us two days later. We accepted an offer (over asking price, mainly due to the expert recommendations for updates/fixes from Cheryl and her team) and had the home under contract the same day! The Cheryl Grant team were super responsive throughout the process and always went out of their way to make sure we understood everything that was happening during the process (Their management of all the forms that need signing is digital and saves hours of time!) and answered/found answers to our questions as quickly as possible. Cheryl and her team made the overwhelming process of buying a house very simple. In the area I was looking at, homes were selling competitively on the day they were put on the market, but that did not stop Cheryl's team. With their vast connections in the Grand Rapids real estate market, we were able to tour houses before anyone else did, giving me an advantage if I decided to put an offer in. I was looking for a fixer-upper in an area where the homes can be over 100 years old, which can be intimidating for a buyer. Given my background in construction and a tight budget, I wanted a structurally sound home with nothing that would cause major problems in the future, but still with opportunities for cosmetic changes (new siding/drywall/millwork/etc.) Cheryl's team accommodated their search accordingly and were very knowledgable of the unforeseen problems that can occur in an older home. Every time I toured a house with them I learned something new. After 2 months of searching, I ended up with a perfect investment property. Even though there were higher offers than mine (on the day it was put on the market), I still got the home, all thanks to the offer that Cheryl's team determined for me. I have had many business and personal property purchases and this team makes the process seemless. They are completely thorough with the entire process and leave nothing unfinished or left to chance. They make themselves available night and day and work totally around your schedule. While viewing many of the homes, Richard was actively involved in evaulating the property, looking for pros/cons that we might not have noticed. He is well informed regarding foundations, electrical, plumbing, heating etc. We had to deal with a sub par listing agent and he was excellent in working through the problems she created. They are so well versed in the entire process that we were assisted with lending agents, inspection professionals and rehab consultants that all proved to be very professional and helpful. There was not one moment in our process that we weren't completely satisfied with them. They make a complicated process very easy and we felt that we didn't have to worry about any part of it.

Cheryl and her team were amazing from the start. We selected her in part, based on several of the glowing comments she had received on Angie's List. We are so thankful we had chosen Cheryl Grant, and the first moment we sat down for a consultation with her, we knew we were making the right choice.
