Description of Work: Job not complete. Didn't know how to spackle, which was part of estimate. Used incorrect luster of paint. Paint marks on furniture and floor. Returned to repair. No better and didn't finish job. Upstairs landing walls were attempted, but not completed. |Next day, head of repair crew attempted to negotiate a price for other painting ( for rooms not in original contract) outside of the franchise company. When That work was refused, he pulled his crew, without completing the repair work. |This is a franchise company, hiring inexperienced laborers and posing as high quality painting company. $2900 of our money for a job I had to re-do myself.

Description of Work: Cleaned and stained our large deck. |The first time they stained the deck they left some drips and a few unstained areas. However, when my property manager & I sent pictures of the mistakes, they did come out to re-do it. We figured part of the problem was that the stain was too light so they came out & did a sample swatch in a darker color & sent me a photo which I was very grateful for. When they re-did deck in the darker color, both the color and the coverage looked good. They left the area clean except for dumping some excess stain on our gravel drive the first time. The second time they were much more careful so there were no problems. |I do not live at the property, so I believe things might have gone better if I was on site myself.

Description of Work: We had our deck painted with Behr DeckOver. Certapro had almost all A's on your list. they were punctual, professional and took time to answer all questions. They cleaned up after the work was done. Very neat, very prompt. The painter always called to inform me of the arrival time. I'm very satisfied with them and would recommend to anyone.

Description of Work: They painted the aluminum siding on the second story of my Dutch Colonial. (The first floor is brick.). Everything went fine and it still looks great today, 3 years later.

Description of Work: They were very professional, a nice crew. One thing I didn't expect was that when they started in the morning they kept at it until about 8pm and came the next am to finish the job and stayed again until about 8:30 pm. So if you have evening plans to go somewhere you might want to cancel. They did a large bathroom/walk-in closet area sanding and repainting. I did have to wash things down before putting clothes back in closets because of the sanding dust.

Description of Work: I was probably was the one asking about CertaPro of Grand Rapids, just as a check. The report I am offering here is for CertaPro which we used here in Grand Haven. It may be the same group but centered in a larger city. I have heard that we might get the same workers for exterior painting that we had for interior painting. In any case we have contracted with CertaPro of GR for exterior painting of our house. So this review is of the CertaPro that served us here in Grand Haven. They did all the walls, ceilings, and woodwork in the interior of our house, which took about two weeks of work for two men.

Description of Work: They pressure washed the deck, then gave it days to dry before coming back to seal it. We had requested a clear seal, but Eric had explained to us why the clear seal didn't last as long or work as well as a seal with a bit of stain in it. We appreciated his honesty, and went with his recommendation. The crew who performed both parts of this process was very nice - polite - very anxious to please. They placed the heavy pieces back on the deck for us after the stain had dried sufficiently, which was helpful as we have 10 steps up to the deck from the ground. We would definitely pay attention to their suggestion that we seal again next summer, and we will definitely use them to do this.
