Description of Work: Matt Williams and his crew did great work on a tricky job--reversing the direction of the stairs in our 1920s home. They also reconfigured the kitchen, including building custom matching cabinets, installing appliances, and overseeing new tile and countertop installation.

Description of Work: Matt Williams, owner and general contractor, was able to read our minds. He made wonderful and beautiful suggestionns, especially when we were stuck or not even aware. Matt is very responsive. He cares about all the work that is done and participates in working as well. He made a beautiful bannister to complete the one we had. It was unsafe after our landing on the stairs as we had nothing to hold onto. He fashioned a perfect match and had it stained to match the original one. He suggested lighting in the halls near the stairs for safety. From the upgrading of each closet in our old home, to the chic counters in our kitchen, he made our home very lovely. Matt has a knack for seeing what needs to be done and doing it. He also has great ideas that helped us make our home terrific. Since I am short, I am in debt to Matt for making my closet my height. The hanging clothes bar is at my eye level. He took care of everything, with a great handsome smile. His workers or subs are professional, talented, and efficient. All the work, whether done directly by Matt or others has been perfect. We are so very pleased with the results. The process was careful and respectful, along with `skillful and proficient. We could not be happier or more satisfied.

Description of Work: Built new mantle, bookshelves and cabinets around the fireplace in our family room. Put new moldings around the 2 sliding doors and the other doors and window in our family room, kitchen, and garage entry area, and new baseboards in the same areas and also in the entry hall and bathroom. Replaced 3 doors - rebuilt the door frames and installed them in the kitchen and family room areas. Tore out our countertops and backsplash tiles and built the counter height up a little bit. (Another company put in the new counter and tiles.) Built a large cabinet, not deep, with 2 drawers beneath our kitchen counter in part of the area where we have kitchen stools, and also replaced/covered the old wood panels under the kitchen counter on that side and at the end of the counter. Fixed the pocket door into our dining room, which had been installed wrong when the house was built 33 years ago. Put reinforcements in our old cabinets to hold the new countertop. Had a new kitchen sink and faucet installed (we bought the sink and faucet). Replaced door handles on all the doors in our remodeled area, including our front door (9 total). Fixed various other things in the remodeled areas for us also. Our entire remodel project included the family room, kitchen, front entry and hall, little bathroom, and area from the garage. In addition to what Build LLC did, we removed the ceiling and walls in the family room and kitchen and had new walls and ceiling put in along with new lighting and electrical, had the flooring replaced in the kitchen and 2 entry halls and bathroom, had new kitchen counter and backsplash installed, and had all the woodwork that Build LLC did stained.

Description of Work: Matt Williams helped make our home the lovely and safe environment that it has become. Not only does Matt do fine work with great quality, he has subs that are skilled and proficient. Matt was able to give us lots of wonderful suggestions, many turned out to be changes in our home. He has impeccable taste along with skill and patience. We could not have found a finer contractor. Matt would bring items to our home for approval. I believe that everything he brought was as we like, and is now installed. He must be a mind reader, or at least pays close attention to owner needs and wants and taste. Matt always had a brilliant smile when asked a question that could annoy other contractors. For instance, our bannister used to go to the landing on the stairs, not all the way up. Matt made a beautiful section to continue the bannister up all the s tairs. He had it stained to match the current one. Not only are we safer with a bannister nexr to alll the stairs, but it is a think of beauty. He made a replica of the existing one, routing lots of parts to match on old bannister. Matt also offered sage advice about our ideas and offered many that we incorporated into our home. We feel that our home is so much lovelier because of Matt.
