Description of Work: Bathmasters not only reglazed my old 1950s tub, but they also reglazed the surrounding tile. Now everything is sparkly white. I really didn't think it was possible, but it's like new, but better because there was no need to destroy my bathroom in the process. Due to this success, we had them back to reglaze an old (1950s) shower stall. Again, they transformed the dark and dreary to bright white. Because they worked on the tile surrounds, we paid more. Just a tub costs about $400. Mark was the man who did the work and he was great. Very polite, on time, and careful.

+ -1 moreIt was okay. When the worker left, he left all the paper taped up all over the bathroom and mirrors. This could have been removed before he left, it did not need to remain in place during the drying process. Also, the drain was completely removed from the tub rather than covered and I still can't get it back in correctly. Also when I checked out the tub before I left there were two black "specks" in the glaze. I asked about them and he shrugged it off and said, "oh, those will just flick out later when you start using the tub" - they did not. It's not worth an entire redo but of course I get annoyed everytime I see those specks.

+ -1 moreBathmasters needed to reglaze our tub twice because the first attempt had runs/drips along the entire front face of the tub. They agreed to stand behind their work, and come back and fixed the issue. I gave them a "C" which represents an average score (F for first attempt and A for second reglaze). The reglaze by Bathmasters was part of a complete bathroom remodel involving several contractors. The redo by Bathmasters complicated our scheduling and lengthened the time when the bathroom (and whole house) had the terrible smell. They stood behind their work. But having to do it twice caused significant distruption and inconvenience for us.
Description of Work: We used Bathmasters to reglaze our tub in the main bathroom.

+ 1 moreIt went very well. I would highly recommend them. What stood out about them is the man who installed it and his expertise. I have had one issue which required a visit back from them and they were very good about their warranty. It was pricy. I thought the price was a little bit high.

+ 0 moreVery nice people and I really wanted to give them a good review. But the first coating they did started to blister within a week. They came back within two days of my call to repair, but that repair only worked for about a month. Then they came back and started all over with a new guy. This time it is all good except a little imperfection by the drain which I suspect will peel as some point in the near future. They were very nice and apologetic. But it was a pain losing access to our one and only tub for two different 48 hour periods.

+ -1 moreI had called on Monday Dec. 2nd and the technician was here the next morning. He was very polite and professional. The bathroom is small - he completely covered and taped every thing and gave me explicit instructions as to how to maintain and care for the new glazing job and how long to wait before removing the coverings. I am very pleased with the result,my bathtub looks like new!

+ -1 moreI called Bathmaster's and they were responsive and knowledgeable. I was able to schedule an appointment that fit well into my schedule. The individual who came was puntual and friendly. He explained exactly what he was going to do and how long it would take. His time estimate was very accurate. The results are great, we have been very happy. The tub looks great! My only complaint is that the worker did not take off his shoes or wear any protective shoe covering when walking through my house. It doesn't appear that any dirt or paint got on the carpet. I think they should at least wear shoe coverings and perhaps put down that sticky plastic that just protects the path they take on the carpet. Overall, though, we are very happy with the results and would recommend Bathmasters.

+ -1 moreIt went quite well, they took a lot of care masking and venting and with followup instructions. We've not put the tub in use to test the finish but it seemed to cure up nicely. Some dust got in the final finish, but otherwise very fine work, and advice.

+ -1 moreOverall, we were happy with the results. It doesn't look like a new tub, but they warned us that it wouldn't. They were up front and open about everything. Responsiveness and punctuality are A+.
Description of Work: They came and reglazed our tub. It took about 3 hours. They offered to fix some chips in the tub, which we agreed to. We left the room closed off for 48 hours, with no peeking. When we opened the door, we found some runs on the sides and chunks of something in the bottom of the tub. We called them and they returned within 3 hours. They buffed out the problem areas and reglazed them.

My only concern was the clean-up/finishing work that was needed after the job was done (untaping, caulking, cleaning). Maybe this is typical, but I'd prefer to not have to do that.

I contacted several organizations that listed bathtub refinishing as a service they offer and Bathmasters was the first and only company to contact me in a timely manner. They followed up prior to the appointment, showed up on time, refinished the tub and cleaned up after themselves. They also took the time to explain the process to us before they begin. Great Job

+ -1 moreOld bathtub with chips from a very old resurfacing job, tiles on walls around it were of very old-fashioned colors. I was told what could and couldn't be done to make the tub and tiles look new and not. The process was explained well to me including, unfortunately, that we couldn't use the bathroom for 24 hours or the tub for a few days, and that I would have to remove all the tape and paper that were applied to everything in the bathroom to prevent the resurfacing paint from getting on them- a mess but an unavoidable one. The job was done in several hours. The gentleman was professional and made sure to explain things to me well. / I am pleased with the job done but might choose a different way to improve a bathtub/wall if I had to, in the future - resurfacing is a messy process.

+ -1 moreMy only complaint is several runs in the paint. I did not however call them back as it was and quot;good enoughand quot; for my needs.
Description of Work: I had a beige bath tub and built in sink and I was changing my toilet and another sink to white. Re-"glazing" made a lot of sense as it's a little used bathroom and replacing the tub would have been an expensive and messy project. The man arrived on time and spent mpst of his time masking off everything. Reglazing is more applying an epoxy based paint that's applied over the roughed up original surface. It looks good and has held up fine.

+ 1 moreBathmasters did a great job of transforming our tile and bathtub. Our tub and tile is from the 1950s and had suffered serious wear and tear, mildew, and soap scum. The result was a beautiful bright white finish. We had it done on a Friday and headed out of town for the weekend. That way we didn't have to smell the paint and be without a shower for a few days. When we got home the smell was still there (all the windows and the bathroom door had to be shut to prevent debris from sticking to the paint) but it cleared out a day or so later. I would highly recommend getting your tub/tile reglazed through Bathmasters. It will save you thousands of dollars compared to a gut job!

+ -1 moreDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They destroyed my paint job with their super cheap masking tape AND failed to sufficiently tape off my brand new shower surround. This resulted in them overspraying the entire top half of the surround. They offered ZERO refund for this huge mistake. They came out and "fixed" it with some nasty polish full of kerosene and then assured me it in no way voided my surround warranty - yeah right. The owner is rude, condescending, and just all around horrible to deal with. If I could give this company a lower letter grade I would do it in a heartbeat.

+ -1 moreThere are runs and droops right in the bottom so I called them back and they repaired it. I looked at it later and now you can see where they fixed it. I figure that I paid these guys to do the work so I called them back again and it looks right now. I'm glad that they held up to what they said and that they fixed it well. I don't know if I would recommend them.

+ -1 moreMark arrived at 8 am as booked and was on site until 3 pm. As he was working he let us know what he was going to do. And befored leaving gave us advice on how to care for the new surfacing. It was an excellent experience.
Description of Work: We just brought a new home. Upon cleaning the fiberglass bathtub we discovered several cracks and that the bottom was soft. Along with some pretty good rust stains. We called several companies - bathmasters gave us a quote that was reasonable to fix the soft bottom and refinish the bath that was competitive with others in the area. Based on the recommendations on Angie's list we booked them. Mark the professional arrived on time - was very personable - taped everything and did the work as promised. The tub looks beautiful. The bottom which was soft - foam was injected to build up the base of the tub. We had a choice of three colors for the resurfacing, white, bone or bisque. We chose bone. Mark sanded and prepared the surface of the tub and surround to accept the new glazing. Three coats of glazing were applied - allowing time in between for drying. We were instructed not to use the tub for two days - at which time we can remove all the taping - rechalk the tub and reinstall fixtures.

+ -1 moreI was remodeling the entire bathroom and was not sure at first about not replacing the tub. After having it refinished I can honestly say it was the best decision I have made. The tub looked (and still does) brand new. They were very prompt and arrived as scheduled. After two years of use we did have a small section that was peeling by the drain, we contacted them and within a week, the were at the house and repaired the issue and you can not tell it was repaired. Their warranty is no cost repairs except travel. We had to pay a $40.00 travel fee (they are 55 miles from our house) but the workmanship and professionalism of the company makes that fee well worth it, I highly recommend Bath Masters to anyone thinking about refinishing their bath tub.
