B & B CHIMNEY SWEEPS

These guys were great; professional, tidy, friendly. My chimneys didn't need to be cleaned after examination, but they were very helpful in teaching me all about them, both gas and wood. They fixed up my gas fireplace, gave me the thumbs up to use the wood fireplace and repaired the chimney cap (sealing, sanding and painting instead of replacing). Good to go.

They actually came early and were very neat and thorough. Explained everything well. Were very professional and friendly

Arrived on time, completed work quickly. Good job on clean-up and replaced items in area. Gave safety review and told me of other work that could be done in the future.

Perfect! Arrived early, removed shoes and were very professional. Put down drop cloths to ensure ash wasn't spread all over. Very quick, efficient service.

It has been about 10 years since we had the chimney checked. We only use the fireplace a few dozen times a year. While we weren't having problems with the chimney, we thought we had better get it checked out. I called for an appointment and found the receptionist to be very friendly and she scheduled me within the month, working around my time schedule. The 2 gentlemen arrived on time and introduced themselves. They removed their shoes at the door and laid floor coverings down and draped to make sure there was little or no mess. One was in the house at the fireplace, the other was on the roof. It only took about 25 minutes. They cleaned up and reviewed what they found. Turns out our chimney is fine. it might need some caulking when we have the roof reshingled. While $225 is expensive, it was better than us trying to do it ourselves. Our two story roof is steep and I had no desire to have my husband climb up there.

I've used B&B 3 times now and each time I have been very satisified. They performed a thorough cleaning and exam of the chimney, from both the inside and outside of the house, and they are extremely careful not to make a mess. I will continue to use them in the future.

They were very friendly from the first contact through the job being completed. Eric came and cleaned and inspected our fireplace. Did a wonderful job, very friendly and took great care in protecting the work area. I would definitely recommend them and use their services again.

They cleaned out the chimney and replaced the cap. They did a fine job.

The quote was really good. Professionalism was good and all that was good but their responsiveness was not great. When I called and left a message, he never called me back. I had to follow up like 3 times before I finally got the person to come and do the quote.

Everyone in Grand Rapids raves about B and B Chimney Sweeps. My home inspector also recommended I use them; however, I have left three messages at various times. Nobody has ever answered the phone OR called me back. It seems odd given the fact that everyone loves this company. I will give them another try in the spring. Hopefully, we will be able to connect.

Was prompt, professional, and left no mess....and it was all done from the inside of our home. Outstanding system and great work....I will highly recommend him and will use him again in the future.

Eric was great, explained everything he did in detail and was extremely polite and neat. Laid down cloth so not to dirty carpet ,went up on roof to inspect and also fixed my damper chain. They are booked and takes a few weeks to get appointment so I assume from what was done for me they have repeat customers. That's why I marked responsiveness as fair. Would RECOMMEND them.

There was some miscommunication that led to a strained business relationship

This was my first experience with a chimney sweep service as this is my first home with a fireplace. I was disappointed that they didn't explain to me what they did, what was specifically inspected, and what the final evaluation was. I had to ask them if everything was ok as they were heading out the door. On a better note, they did show up very promptly and were pleasant. They also took good care not to 'dirty' up the carpets or any areas of my house.

They are always on time and do a wonderful job. Techs are very friendly.

The service technician was friendly, thorough, and very open to my questions. He explained things that I needed to know as well.

They were friendly, professional and on time (in fact they were early). The price was a little high, but I knew that when I made the appointment. I was pleased with their service, I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

Company rep was prompt, courteous and thorough. Chimney apparently had never been cleaned since the house was built 28 years ago. He vacuumed both up and down the flue. We were very pleased with this service.

The company rep arrived early for his appointment and listened/looked to/at our description of the problem. We expected a rate of $65.00 for a house call and for $140.00, Band B cleaned out the woodburning chamber and removed the Heatilator sides and back to clean behind them, as well. We discovered that there was creosote dust behind the wall, so the entire area was cleaned and sealed where walls and flooring met to avoid any future accumulation of dust. Larry, the technician, was courteous, knowledgeable, and did an outstanding job of cleaning the dust and leaving the fireplace area spotless when he finished. The whole process took a little over an hour and we were glad to discover that the problem was not more serious.

We were a little surprised at the high price for everything they did for us that day but we felt they were very professional. They laid down mats before they worked, cleaned up extremely well and were in and out of the house in a couple of hours.
