Description of Work: This is the second time we have used ed. He was able to squeeze us into his busy schedule to swing by and run electricity from our box to where we want a new dishwasher put in. He worked quickly and even explained things to my husband as he worked. He is a very down to earth guy. We Would hire him for any other electrical project we have.

Description of Work: outside lights and plug were not working. We previously switch out the light switch and circuit on our own without resolving the problem. He came in and assessed the situation and found a tripped GFI in the basement and added cocking around the outside plug for us. appreciate his price and professional work.

Description of Work: I called Ed to get a quote for upgrading my electric service. He came and gave me a quote (which was very competitive). Once we agreed on the work we were able to schedule the work for the following week. Ed upgraded my electrical service, which included replacing the mast, meter box and running all new cable. He coordinated consumers, the inspection and pulled all the permits. He also installed a new 220 line for AC that I am having installed and a outdoor plug on my porch. Highly recommend him, I will be calling him when I need more electrical work done.

+ -1 moreI called Ed last week and explained in detail to him what I was trying to do. Because I changed the direction of my island I needed to move three lights in my kitchen. I also wanted to add an outlet to my laundry room. He made an appointment with me right away for what I thought was going to be a quote. He showed up exactly on time. He had many of the supplies he needed to do the work so he started right there and then. We went over all of my options in terms of how it would be best to move the lights. He suggested some cover plates that I could use in the ceiling so I didn't need to do drywall repair and painting. We worked out a shift of the lights that made the plates symmetrical. He was very knowledgable, professional and did an excellent job. He was here for over 3 hours so I was concerned about the cost, however, I was very pleasantly surprised. He is an excellent electrician with excellent prices. He also answered several other electrical questions. I will definitely use him again if I have any electrical needs and I will refer him to my neighbors.

+ -1 moreEd is very good, and very well priced. He found numerous issues, and something things would pop up and he would properly fix those too, no hassle. I now feel safer with the electrical system in the house I just purchased. I will only be calling Ed for any electrical needs for now on.
Description of Work: Numerous issues with the electrical system in the house not being up to code, including things like inproperly installed panel, no grounds going outside, no ground connected to water line, etc etc. Ed Fixed it all, as well as removing all knob and tube wiring in the basement.

+ -1 moreI called Ed on July 5th and he was able to come out the same day. He knew is stuff, got right to work, and got everything fixed and running properly. Ed is a great guy. He comes across a bit terse which is part of his personality. He has a good heart and will will do a great job. He is the only electrician I will call in the future. Very fair price and does a good job! I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Ed fixed two can lights in the kitchen that were not wired properly, installed a new ceiling fan, and fixed a couple florescent lights that needed ballast replacement. He also checked out some poorly wired areas in the home and fixed it.

Also installed a ceiling fan in spare bedroom that wasn't pre-wired. Much cheaper than another quote I got for the same work. Would definitely hire again.

Description of Work: Ed the electrician, came to our residence to hook up an electrical box & circuit outlets in our pole barn. After arriving, I asked Ed if there were a few other things he could check out in our 115 year old house. Some of our outlets were loose & unstable to use, needed new covers and Ed had all the supplies needed to do the extra work for us. He is a very hard worker, as he had to be in the attic for part of the day & it was one of those 90o days. He never complained. Got the jobs done that were asked of him, such as running new wires to the kids upstairs bedrooms through the walls to box in basement. Now we have no worries of overloading the circuit with air conditioners etc. Everything was up to code. He is a better electrician than any we have had before. I highly recommend Ed for any electrical needs you may have. I think he is very skilled, and does excellent work.

Ed the electrical contractor came over and checked the breaker box which then led him to check every electrical outlet in my home. He found a lamp in my bedroom which was shorting out and causing breaker to go off. He rewired and everything was good. I asked him to replace two switches in my kitchen that were poorly done when I bought condo, he replaced them with brand new switches and was very pleased with his work. I was surprised at the cost for not only the time he was here but the excellent work he performed. Would highly recommend him and will use him again in future. We've already talked about him putting a fan in my bedroom at a later date. Great job 4k Handyman Electric and thanks again Ed for doing a great job.
