Great, They were on time, wore things over their shoes, laid down clothes to cover my floor and rugs. Shopvac and cleaned everything didn't even know they were here. Very professional and they were very nice. Didn't stop working from the time they got her. I can feel the difference in my house the very next day I came down. I set my heat on 67 and when I came down in morning it was 39 degrees outside but my house was 70 inside. I am very pleased.

The men were on time, professional, came back after finding a roof leak. Customer prepaid and then they returned.

It went very well. We are happy with the information provided by them. The whole Audit was done in 3 steps. 1. They came out and did a look around and asked us what our goal with with the audit. 2. The actual audit was done. 3. Then about a week later they came back again with the results. The information provided was very easy to understand the the Rep from Mark Group explained all points of the results. The Quote for the work recommend was not was bad as we thought it was going to be.

Went quite well. Delays caused by discovery of knotted tube wiring which had to be re mediated.

On the whole it went very well. Sales contact was pleasant, straight forward and factual. All representations were fulfilled. The construction work was almost exactly as planned. The crew was pleasant, communicative and efficient. We had no complaints and were pleasantly impressed.

The Devere Co. Did a good job in the installation. I am unhappy with the Mark Group.

Our understanding was that there would be a comprehensive survey and report on the home. The reality was that the company was focused on primarily energy conservation and doing work to make the home more efficient in that regard. They took readings and checked airflow but never really identified specifically where the problem areas were or any of the readings they took. In the end there was no "report" only a detailed quote for the list of work they suggested be done. Based on the cost and the very long payback period based on their projection of utility savings we elected not to go forward with their services. The staff was responsive and was conscientious about follow up and scheduling but I really did not need three visits to accomplish what was done.

Both the sales rep and the two workmen were professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

The furnace crew took 2 full days and the insulation crew took 3 full days. These are 2 emails I sent to the company: 1/. Just wanted to convey to you that my wife and I were deeply impressed by the 2 crews that were assigned to our upgrades. The furnace crew; Brian, Todd, and Tony had the additional task of disassembling a old heater into pieces small enough to get it out through an interior stairwell. They did an excellent job and left the job site spotless. The insulation crew; Todd, Doug, and Jeremy were presented with many challenges in attempting to meet the contract specifications and always came up with innovative ideas to overcome 19th century construction techniques. These craftsmen also did an excellent job and left the job site spotless. My wife commented that they always seemed to be working and never took a break. It was a pleasure having them all work on our house. 2/. In the last two days I had 4 inspectors for the permits come out and we passed all the final inspections. The Fire, Plumbing, and Electrical Inspectors for the furnace all were impressed with the installation. They particularly liked the manner in which Brian hung and braced the intake and exhaust pipes. They all said the install was neat, clean, tight, well laid out. The Building Inspector was impressed with neat and tidy job done by the Todd and the insulation crew. Please thank them for an excellent job.

All workers arrived on time, were polite and completed work in a timely fashion. Accidentally broke our faucet while replacing flew valve & replaced it in a timely way.

There were a lot of issues initially and I contacted Angie’s List and you were able to help us resolve it. What happened was that I got the deal, I wanted my daughter to use it because the kind of windows that they were going to install weren’t appropriate for my house and I felt that my daughter can profit from that under the circumstances better than I could. So she took the deal and it was not so good initially because apartments were not kept but it turned out fine because they got the windows done and they were pleased with them. They honored the price for two windows. The problem was with scheduling and that sort of thing. The issue was not really honoring the commitment to come at a certain time or to get the work done by a certain time. They did a good job of installation once they did it. I only had one contact with them and I wasn’t happy with that because he wanted to do a complete inspection of the house and I was focused on the windows not so much so on insulation. So I knew that wasn’t good for me and I wasn’t happy with that interaction but here again, in all fairness my daughter was satisfied with the interaction that she had.

We met with a Mark Group representative in June 2013 and decided to schedule the energy audit offered by their company. The person who performed the audit was professional and on-time. However, after they ran the audit results through their software, we did not meet the 10% energy savings to qualify for any NJ energy rebates. Therefore, we did not proceed with any of their recommendations. However, the communications with the Mark Group following the audit was very poor... emails and voice mails were ignored and appointments not kept. As late as November 2013, we were still trying to get a copy of the audit and recommendations. The Mark Group representative did say that they would refund the cost of the audit since he told us that we should meet the 10% energy savings to receive some type of NJ rebate. Finally, in September 2014, after a call to a Mark Group regional office, I was able to get a prompt refund of the cost of the audit and I'd like to thank the representative in that office for their prompt attention and responsiveness to my phone call and email. I should have escalated our request much sooner after our many emails and phone calls to the local representative were ignored.

Workers were on time ( to the min) and provided prompt courteous service. The workers were friendly and engaging and even recommended options that saved money.

Very well done. Crew was very polite and friendly. Put down floor protection and completely cleaned up after they were done.

$79 for a comprehensive Home Energy Audit that was to include: Thermal Analysis: Assess conditioned and unconditioned locations in home for convective, conductive, and radiant energy loss They brought a camera and used it around the house. I did not receive any thermal image in my report. Evidentially, someone deleted the thermal images. This was the main reason I purchased the audit?..see where my problem areas were, fix them and then check ( thermally) to see they were corrected. Health and Safety Inspection: Provide peace-of-mind by reviewing any mold, asbestos, moisture intrusion, gas or carbon monoxide leaks Did not receive much of a report in this area. Again, would need thermal images to see moisture Intrusion and hidden mold. Also, I do not remember the Mark Group using a Gas Snifter to confirm no gas leaks. We did not fire up the Gas Furnace to confirm there were no Carbon Monoxide leaks. Prioritized Recommendations for Energy Efficient Improvements: Deliver a road map to savings detailing the recommended energy efficiency improvements for your home This was provided ? well laid out, detailed report, for what corrections needed to be performed. Remediation cost was high in my opinion. Estimated payback period was 13 years for all recommendations. Without having access to the thermal images, I am not sure how they came up with the recommendations in the report. Air Infiltration Diagnostics: Measure level of air infiltration occurring in your home to obtain baseline metric for energy efficiency improvements This was performed. I learned my home was very tight and that I would need to increase natural air-circulation before performing any insulation remediation. What should have been done, in my opinion - Perform thermal analysis ( ie take pictures in all rooms) , start the infiltration test. Take another set of pictures, which would have clearly shown air infiltration when compared to 1st set of pictures. Equipment Diagnostics: Analyze and test appliances against manufacturer specifications for energy consumption This was not performed at all. This could have been valuable to determine what appliances, if any, had become energy hogs. Ie, Is my electric dryer / refrigerator energy efficient? Is my central air heat pump performing according to manufacture specs etc? Bottom line?..did not receive what was advertised in the Angie?s List promotion. Gave a overall grade of ?C? . The grade would have been ?F? but the Mark Group did offer to come back with the thermal camera. ( professionalism - "A") I am not sure if they would have done the Equipment diagnostics. I choose not to have them back since I would need to take another ½ day off from work for the analysis and another ½ day for the results. Pretty expensive investment of time to redo the work. Based on their price of the proposed work to improve thermal efficiency, I would not have selected them to do the work and thus would not have them back to document the improvements with the thermal camera. Price ? $79 would have been a great price, if they delivered what was advertised in the Angies List deal. I am somewhat disappointed in Angie?s list for this deal. Not worth $79 based on deliverables. I would not recommend the home energy audit from this company based on my experience.

Overbilled by $1000. Non-responsive to customer inquiries. Charged for work not performed. Service personnel late. Manager avoids emails and phone calls. Personnel overheard discussing how they cut corners instead of doing it right.
