Jeff Baribeau Carpentry

Jeff did quality work installing the cupboards/capentry, built in applicances and countertops. He was prompt, set up his own work area and cleaned up after himself 100% every day he came. I found Jeff to be very polite and customer service oriented. My only disappointment was when I discovered the quote given by Northern was for off-site made cupboards and not for custom made built on site that were there prior to this upgrade. Be sure to specify what you really expect. If you had cupboards built on site, I would get that exact replacement rather than premade off-site cupboards. The material is also not as high quality as the original wood but it is pretty nice. I lost quite a bit of space due to fillers and the overall design which was done by McDaniels. The cupboards are beautiful but more light weight than desired and get scratched on the inside easily. Another guy on the Northern team did the caulking around the back splash boards. I chose WilsonArt HD laminate counter top which is still beautiful! It was not a regular caulk, but a rope type that was pushed into the joints. Do not allow that!! It shrunk about 60% and water is now getting in and warping the board. I have to get it fixed fast here before there is more damage. That was not Jeff's doings, however. Also, from the time the project started until the end, I think I must have shrunk a little since the cupboards are so high/tall that I cannot reach the top shelves. Jeff is a tall guy.

He’s the owner and his name is Jeffrey, but I call him Jeff. He’s really awesome. He’s worked here for four or five years. My husband and I are not able to do a lot and so we call him. He’s helped us a lot. So it’s taken us a while because we had to save up money and then we hire him. He’s very trust worthy. In fact I’ve got one of those key pads on the door of the garage, so if we have a doctor’s appointment, I’ve given him the code number. He just comes in and works. He doesn’t disturb anything and just does his job. Overall the job was perfect. The whole bathroom was for my husband and so I told Jeff that whatever was suitable for a guy’s bathroom to do it. He did it and it’s just beautiful. My husband really liked it. He put in a higher sink and a cabinet in there. I trust his work. I think he’s almost through his sixties and he’s been doing this all his life. He does show up at 7 o’clock in the morning. He’s an early bird and you got to be ready for that. There’s nothing negative about him. I’ve got a bunch of his business cards that I hand over to people who ask me for help. The overall experience is absolutely excellent. He tries to find sales and bargains from different stores. He tries to find sales going on for doors or anything like that. He tries to keep the price down. That’s excellent. He’s very punctual. He’s very professional. We will use his services again in the future.
