C & K Plumbing

We built a new home in 2017 and our builder used C&K Plumbing. It was a nightmare from day 1. We paid for 3 wall jets in the master bathroom shower that were $2000 and have never worked properly. The water pressure is low and Jared at C&K could never figure out how to make them work and wouldn't give us a refund so now we have wall "Jets" that basically trickle out water. In addition to that, on the third night we moved into our new home, one of the bathtubs leaked in an upstairs bathroom and ruined portions of our kitchen ceiling drywall. We were told it would be repaired and to date, no one has come out to repair the ceiling drywall. It's been more than 3 years and all we've gotten is empty promises Also, when cleaning out our furnace room we found a copy of the instruction manual to the sump pump C&K Installed. Guess what? They installed a used sump pump that was 17 years old. We found notes on the manual that it had been installed at a different job in 2001 and refurbished with a new switch in 2003. The manufacturing date on the manual was 2000. A 17 year old, refurbished sump pump in a brand new home! We were told all of our home would be brand new. Corner cutting seems to be the way they operate. Check out the photos I uploaded of the instruction manual. Unbelievable. I don't know how this company can justify conducting business this way. We strongly recommend you stay away from C&K Plumbing and find someone who won't cut corners, overcharge and actually knows how their products work. We've never been more dissatisfied with a "professional" services company that we've ever hired.

In most respects Cand K did what I hired them to do and did it well for the agreed upon price. Most of the time one or the other of the two owners performed the work. As a renovation in progress, this job required more than one visit as the project moved along. On one visit, two workers came out (not the owners) to change the toilet drain and install a new toilet. On completion, I questioned why the toilet did not sit solidly on the floor - it rocked a little bit. I was told the floor was not level and they would install shims to steady it. They did and left. After they left, I took more time to study the problem. I was unhappy with the look of the shims and could not understand how my new floor was to blame. On further study, i found that there was no problem at all with the floor, it was both perfectly flat and level. I called Cand K and insisted they come back out. When one of the owners returned, he pulled the toilet and found that indeed, the floor was fine, but the drain flange had been set too high - this was what the toilet was rocking on. He corrected the plumbing fitting, reinstalled the toilet and all was fine. My complaint is that there really was no acknowledgement of the fact that his workers had done shoddy work and taken the easy way out (blaming the problem on something other than their work). To be fair, perhaps this was done later back at the shop. But I felt a direct acknowledgement and apology to the customer was in order. I might consider hiring them again with the proviso that the owners do all the work with an explanation of why this condition was necessary.

I had used him before and he did a good job so I called him back, he fixed the broken water pipe, he was professional and price was good. He was busy that day so he ended up at my house a little later then expected but I still will use him again.

My experience with them was excellent. They were punctual. I was happy with them. I would use them again.

Plumber broke the handle on the shut off valve while trying to shut the valve. Charged us for replacing it. Did not state he would be charging us.

Fast and efficient.

He did an excellent job, communicated well and performed the job in the time expected.

The kitchen drain was almost completely blocked, and I had to get it cleared quickly. It was easy to get an prompt appointment. Jarrod from Cand K Plumbing was friendly and explained what he was doing. I helped a bit by turning water on and off upstairs as necessary. He cleared the drain with the power auger and explained that the blockage probably came from years of slowly accumulating grease buildup. The drain has stayed clear so far (been about 9 months). The price seemed reasonable but I do not have a lot of experience from which to judge.

I had three bids from three different companies, and I thought Cand K Plumbing had the most reasonable solution to my plumbing problems. One company wanted to dig up the basement floor and replace everything. Cand K Plumbing was able to carry out the repair without a lot of digging up or doing anything much in the basement. Also, their price was the most reasonable. They were late, but that was okay. It's hard to talk about their professionalism, because I do not have a high opinion of contractors. They took the toilet off and reset it. When they did that it was wobbling, and we called them. They were right here the next day to fix it. They did a good job overall.

The job was un-eventful and installation went well. Their work ethic is very good and I have used them before and probably would in the future..........I do not like the faucets however. I was expecting the type I had before....was informed that since the house was 40+years old, the codes had changed, this was what I had to use to bring the house up up to code. I have to turn the faucet many more times, [most of the time all the way open] on the new ones than I ever did on the old ones to get the same amount of pressure....also, because I have to grasp more and turn more it is not so good with inflammed arthritic hands/fingers. Although they do good work, I don't like the faucets and next time will check into my options more. Wishing I had my old ones back for the ease of use. As for quality, I have no qualms. They do good work.

The plumbers called and said he was help up and would be a couple hrs late. They were reasonably priced but the owner had not communicated to the workers the total scope of work we wanted done. When we explained they did the requested work to correct the leak.

I called Cand K and told them my toilet was leaking into basement and had a lot of water. They could not get to it that day, [Friday] so I shut the water off to that toilet, [I have two other toilets] and the following week they came over and did an estimate and the next day they fixed it. I had told them I had company coming so as long as it was fixed within a week that was ok. While I think they tend to be a bit on the high side for labor, I have never had a problem with things not working after they left. This was the second time I have used them. The actual price was $5.00 higher than estimate as they had to replace the supply line which was not planned.
