ALL PHASES LANDSCAPING

Despite preliminary signed contract and plans, All Phases purchased and used a retention block that was too small for the project and built the walls 6-10 inches higher than specs allow, therefore not appropriate for it's application. When concerns were brought to the landscape contractor (Tim Hulbert), the fact that we contracted and paid for larger retention blocks, we were told that we should trust hime because he has 30 years of experience. When we wanted to meet with him in person to go over the fact that he used inferior retention blocks, added an additional row of retention block not previously discussed and the fact the the walls were all crooked and had no rhyme or reason, he decided to walk of the job and keep our money. We brought in several hardscape architects and they all told us the work he did would not make it through the winter. We had to start all over again with landscaping and hire someone to demolished and remove the inferior walls he build. Tim's crew (All Phases Landscaping) would show up at 9:30 and leave everyday at 2:30-3:00. They spent 80% of the time they were at pup property either smoking and throwing their butts in the lake, talking about how they got drunk the night before, swearing to the point that I can't keep my windows open because I have young children in the house, and marking the tires on the trailer so they could leave and come back without the Boss (Tim) ever knowing. Let's just say they never worked unless Tim was right along side them.....which wasn't often. This nightmare went on for 8 weeks....a job we were told would be done in 2 weeks tops! A TOTAL NIGHTMARE!

The crew adjusted their schedule to meet our needs, which we appreciated. The project required really hard back-work and they did this very difficult work on one of the hottest days of the summer. One thing I was a bit dissatisfied with was that, when they lay the new layer of dirt down, they didn't pack it down at all, so when they walked over it to scatter the seed, they left footprints all over. Now the surface still is uneven because of that. The surface is not smooth as you would want a new lawn to be.
