 + -1 moreThese guys were very nice, professional, and did a great job. I got all my files back and I had the option of weeding out unnecessary items to reduce the amount of storage needed. I had options as to what type of storage device to have the files put on to. I chose to buy an external hard drive from them which was approximately $130 of the total bill, but I could have brought in something I currently owned as well. No pressure to buy from them. I picked up the hard drive the next day, but couldn't find all the photos when I got it home. I placed a call to see if they forgot to load them on to the hard drive and got a call back telling me exactly how to find what I thought was missing. Polite, friendly, easy to work with.
Description of Work: My laptop bit the dust and I lost all my pictures and important documents. I dropped it off at Alpine Computers for them to find the lost files.

 + -1 moreterribly frustrating and time consuming..awefull customer service
Description of Work: they were suppose to correct the problem with my computer hanging up especially in yahoo and searching. I had to take it back once because it wasn't fixed and when I came to pick it up it still wasn't fixed so I had to leave it again. Finally, after questioning them about the problem and being relentless until it was solved they told me to try changing my search engine from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome. That did fix my problem; which I did myself. My thought is that they connect it to a program to scan for the problem and didn't bother to check to see if the problem had been solved. In reality they didn't do anything to fix it and even with all of my time and traveling back and forth they still charged me.

 + 0 moreBAD. My RAM sticks were stolen and replaced with no-name AM sticks. also used inferior dual-boot system which gave the windows side horrible processing speed and weighed down the MAC OS X side.
Description of Work: new Macbook pro purchased. work done to install Windows as dual-operating system.
