Like I stated above it went very well and always does whenever they come to my house to perform a service.

Scheduling with the company was easy. The telephone person was pleasant. The A/C person, # 25 Craig, was prompt, efficient and very pleasant. He was able to answer questions and was very knowledgeable. He did the necessary work and left in short order.

I think their people are well trained and very thorough. They are customer oriented. They explain their services very well as they are going through them. I will use them again.

They are easy to work with and they kind of work with you and tell you what's wrong, what you can wait on and what should be taken care of immediately. I have been using them for ten years. They know within my house. They are very professional. They are punctual. They respect my property. Their knowledge seems to be extremely good. They have never created a problem for me with cleaning up after themselves. They have been perfect. I like the fact that they give me options. I like the four-stair hot air system in the house that they installed. Eventually, I will need a humidifier but right now, it works.

I purchased a trane heater/central air unit from Answer Heating and Cooling because they were new in the area and I wanted to give them some business. At first glance the installation would be considered fine. Problems started immediately. When they came back for a "how was the service" question and answer, I explained that the central air did not seem to be cooling the house. I asked how cold should the unit get my house. The Answer rep said that it should cool down approx. 15 to 20 deg. less than it is outdoors. This day was in the summer so I thought that might be the problem. Thought it was a waste of money. I noticed lots of ice on the copper line coming out of the cooling coil. Summer ended quickly like they always do in Michigan. The next year I had the unit serviced by Answer. The tech came and worked on the central air unit. He was amazed that it was almost empty of refrigerant. He filled it up. I thought that they just forgot to fill it when they installed it. Answer came again a month later. The tech was "shocked" to find that the filter was very dirty and said that I needed my duct work cleaned and that I had 30 days to "comply". Another summer gone. The next year started having the same problems with the unit. In Michigan you can go without using your central air for a whole year sometimes because of the mild summers we sometimes have. We didn't use it much the next year. Also my home is on a cement slab so the air that comes out is rather cool already. This year we started having the same problems. I called in another heating/cooling business to look. They saw the sticker on the furnace and said they were hearing of complaints about Answer's service and installation. Also that they charged almost double of what other businesses do to fill the air conditioner. They filled my central air unit with refrigerant and dye to see if there were any leaks. They came back after 2 months and my unit was starting to act up again. They let me look thru the tinted glasses to see the leaks. The cooling coil was leaking all over and the copper line coming out of the unit also has a leak. They said that it might have come from the manufacturer that way. I have read online that it is sometimes how it is installed. Anyway my guarantee has expired and Trane does not respond to e-mails. After a year of use and having to completely fill my air unit you would have thought the tech's that came out would have said something. I have asked around the area and many people have had problem's with Answer Heating and Cooling. I just wish that they would put their experiences here so that others can be warned.
