+ -1 moreContracted Mikes Home Improvement at the recommendation of a friend to finish the work another contractor started and then vanished on me, leaving me high and dry without a shower. Mike showed up two late the first time, and give me a qutote of $4,000 for a partial bathroom remodel. The price seemed high, but he was suggested by a friend so I agreed to the price. The work was scheduled to start two weeks later and the contractor was a no/call no show. Mike texted me only after calling him that his vacation was running longer then he planned, but he would start as soon as he got back. A A week later I called again and he told me he would be on Monday between 4 and 7pm to sign a contract. I asked him to commit to this time and he replied and quot;I do not promise anything.and quot; He missed the this appointment and I called the following day asking him what happened, only to get no reply. So now I am left with a demoed bathroom with no shower that the previous contractor flaked on.
Description of Work: I needed to find someone to finish remodeling my bathroom, (complete new shower, tile, and cabinets) I had hired another company to start the job, and they vanished after the demo process was complete. Serves me right for not fully checking out a company that I selected the first time.
