The Schreiner boys are top notch. I gave Steve a call about sourcing a draft inducer for my 27 year old furnace. They looked up the part and nowhere had the part for less than $600. I then made the decision to start getting quotes for new furnaces got a few quotes for the job, one of them coming from an amana dealer (which is a middle to low end furnace) and steve and cody schreiner got me into a high end lennox for around the same price. So i ended up with a better furnace for nearly the same price. It's not that the lennox unit itself was cheaper, it was because other places overquoted parts and labor not knowing what they were dealing with where schreiners, through their expertise and decades of experience, knew exactly what the job would take. Their only concern was that my house would be warm for my young children with the upcoming storm on the way. Schreiners were prompt and efficent having the old furnace out and new furnace in and running within 3.5-4 hours of arriving.

I called to set up a service call as this was the first time I used Schreiner and the appointment was set up. He then called me at work later to tell me he needed me to pay at the time of the time of service which I agreed to. The serviceman showed up without a latter so he was unable to get to the unit in my attic to which he said and quot;do you want me to go get a one?and quot; undoubtably going to keep me on the clock. One was provided to him and he changed a filter. An hour later I was called once again at work to be told and quot;we didn't collect at service do you have a credit card?and quot; No inquiry to the service at all, the whole time they just wanted to be paid and that is all they talked to me about. I hope they enjoyed this one time payment because i will never use them again. They had not concern with customer satisfaction only the payment which they could have asked for at the time of service like agreeed to and not called me again.

They were prompt and did what they said they were going to do.

It took about 3 days to fully install because of the age of our house they had to build a frame to mount the new unit, upgrate the exhaust and put in an external air supply. The work proceeded on time and within estimate, they showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. What I really appreciated though occured a few months later. There was a bad snow storm and we lost power, we hooked up the generator, but the furnance didn't seem to go on. We contacted Schreiner and within a few minutes we had two people at our house (the roads were terrible). They checked the unit and instructed us on how to start it after a power outage. They also provided some advice on running the furnance by generator.

The folks at Schreiners' Mechanical worked tirelessly to help us get hot water back in service. After exhausting repair options they quickly installed a new unit. The work was very professional and done right the first time!

It is a generational type business. I would rate them number one as they are excellent. Their price was fair. I would use them again in the future.

I paid a very nominal charge for the service. It was a hard problem to find the leak. It was a bit of a puzzle. It was a water leak behind one of the walls. The construction company that built our house had accidently put a drywall nail through one of the waste pipes. When our house became ten years old, the water rusted the nail such that it started leaking behind the wall between first and second floor. Impressively, they were able to figure out where the pipes were behind the wall. They only had to cut three openings in the drywall to find the leak and repaired it within a minute. It was not like replacing a leg seal under a toilet or something like that; it was a bit of a mystery. They went upstairs and looked at the how the plumbing was, they went downstairs and looked at the plumbing and in the basement, and they looked at how all the pipes were routed. They braised the pipes and made three educated guesses and so, they only had to cut three holes in the drywall to find it. They are extremely professional. They are extremely helpful. Their rates are very reasonable. I can't even call it a rate, for us it was getting a big problem solved at virtually no cost. They were very punctual. They were here exactly on time.
