M.R. Electric was great. After having the power go out twice in two weeks for multiple days. My wife and I decided it was finally time to get a whole house generator. I fully expected to have to wait several weeks or months to get an install. Their sales person called me right away after my inquiry, she came to my house 2 days later and a week after that, the generator was installed. M.R. Electric far exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - NIGHTMARE SERVICE! M.R. Electric Construction installed a Kohler generator that was either installed incorrectly, defective, or both in November 2021. Further, they are not honoring any type of warranty. They never pulled the permit nor had their work inspected. That alone can be a major concern, but the generator functioned (weekly testing) for one week after installation. After the installation was performed we went to our Florida home last November and were unaware the unit was not functioning until May 2022. We informed Matt Robinson and the verbal diagnosis was the trickle charger malfunctioned and the battery was dead. Their technician came out and identified the issue as the control board. We were told one would have to be ordered and he left. A week later a repairman from M.R. Electric came out and replaced the battery. The unit worked at that time after the installation. Another two weeks goes by with no power outages so the unit ran only during the test periods. We heard it run at least once. A different repair person from M.R. Electric came out and told us he was here to replace the control board. They replaced the board and previously the battery and the unit STILL do not function properly. Fortunately, we have not had a power outage. The unit sits not knowing if it will fire when needed as it does not run the weekly self-diagnostic tests it is supposed to run. Further yesterday we received a bill from M.R. Electric for the board, the battery, and installation. We were originally informed by both Matt Robinson and an M.R. Electric Construction repair person the unit would be repaired under warranty. In November 2021 when we agreed to purchase this we paid a hefty premium as there were few units available at the time. We have had other properties where a Generac unit was installed without any issues over the entire ownership of the properties (over 9 years). My advice is to steer clear of M.R. Electric Construction and go with a Generac unit instead. Khoeler will be notified as well. DO NOT USE M.R. Electric Construction!

They spent the time to explain all the work before starting. Reviewed progress with me along the way. Then gave me final update with operating and care instructions. Very polite. Great attitude.

They responded very quickly and had our generator installed ahead of schedule. They were very friendly and let us know what was going on throughout the project and spent a lot if time with us answering all our questions! I would definitely recommend!

They did a great job. I had an electrical panel upgraded and 2 new circuits installed. They were very friendly and even took the time to help me with an issue I was having with my bathroom lights. This took them like 5 minutes because they knew their stuff. The only problem was Consumers Energy. They kept canceling my power shut off because of storms in the area and this ended up taking an additional 6 weeks before my job was finally completed. This was no fault of M.R. Electric.

They do good work (I got a generator and panel) but their cost is prohibitive. I got gouged on my new panel (only found out I needed it once they started the generator install). They recommend 2 service visits annually instead of the 1 recommended by the manufacturer. Cost per visit is $389 for an oil change. Called another authorized dealer and the service was less than half as much. If money is no issue, go with them, otherwise, look elsewhere.
