Let me preface this by saying that I was disenchanted at best with AT&T Uverse which I had been using for a number of years. My bill was never the same two months in a row with wildly differing amounts due. In addition, the equipment was inferior with frequent breakdowns of service. In addition, the In Demand options were minimal at best. In April, 2014, I was contacted by a young woman named Renee about returning to Comcast. I was paying AT&T well over $300 per month for my bundled services and was very unhappy with the "services" I received so I was very interested in what Renee had to offer. The price she was able to give me for all the services I was receiving with the exception of wireless coverage was over $100 less than what I had been paying AT&T. She also let me know what my monthly payment would be for the first and second year of a two-year contract. I decided that changing to Comcast would be the right thing for me to do and within a week, the service was installed. I have heard many complaints about Comcast but thus far my experience has been positive. I have had to contact 1-800- COMCAST on two occasions and in both instances, I was able to speak with a customer services representative quickly and my problems were resolved with minimal fuss. The equipment, box, modem, and remote control, are far superior to those proved by AT&T and best of all, my bill has been the same for each month thus far. I know how much it will go up at the end of the first year and at the end of the second year of the two-year contract, I will renegotiate for the next one. My wireless contract is up in October, 2014 when the new iPhone comes out. As Comcast has a reciprocal agreement with Verizon, I may switch over at that time depending on what they have to offer and make a complete break from AT&T. It should be noted that, when I called to cancel my services with AT&T, the "customer services representative" kept me on the phone for 40 minutes in a vain attempt to keep me as a full AT&T customer. The "Manager's Special" offer that she gave me was still significantly higher than the amount I had agreed to in my contract with Comcast and when I made it clear that I was not staying, she became very hostile and unhelpful. Lucky for her I did not write down her name and employee number and make a formal complaint. Of course, if Comcast does not meet my needs during the next two years, I always have the option of returning to AT&T when my current contract expires.

I had a terrible experience with them. Their services are not consistent it gets interrupted. They outsource their customer service to India and it's very hard to understand the people that are talking to the phone. They just try to rush on things and they don't try to get to the bottom of your problem. You have to call many times to get in touch with someone who really cares about you.

We got a cable and internet bundle with two cable boxes. One cable box that we added several months into our serviced never worked. We replaced it (which we had to drive to Ann Arbor to do) and it still never worked (6 months+). Customer service via the phone was incredibly unhelpful. Each person we spoke with was rather condescending to the point where we would hang up the phone feeling like we had done something wrong. They refused to send out a technician as they continuously stated that the error was on our end, not with the equipment. Our video on demand never worked, another area that we were told it is an error with our setup, not with the equipment. About one week ago several of our channels came up with a message "Not authorized". When we called, the representative informed us that our $110/month package came with basic channels (which means basically local news channels... No ESPN, No TBS, No FX, etc.). We were then informed that for the previous 9 months of service our cable box was not supposed to be getting any of those channels (which we were paying for) and that spontaneously our cable box started blocking those stations we were not supposed to be getting. Through our entire service period our prices have also gone up each month. Every month we must call back, complain, and threaten to cancel service in order to get them to reduce it back to what the plan is actually listed at. In our experience, Comcast does not care about it's customers. The service itself was mediocre and expensive. The second the Red Wings season is over, we will be canceling our service and never doing business with Comcast again.

We were looking for a service with which we could use our computers that is how we chose them. It is a bundle package. The internet service gets right on. The landline has standard features and we have long distance call service as well. The TV has good channels and we have a DVR.

It did not cost me anything last time. They will also price out another package for you. I did not have many choices. I hae had good service with them and I think that their service has been better in the last five years. They have given their phone reps more leway and authority to do more for people. I love their on demand and DVR.
