Description of Work: This is the second time Prestissimo has cleaned my gutters, and I am going to use them again. they do a very good, straightforward, efficient job of cleaning the gutters, with two levels--regular and super deluxe. I have had regular. They also did my windows last year, again very well.

Description of Work: Washed the windows on our house, inside and out. | |I have had our windows cleaned on several previous occasions, and the cost ran between $130 and $190. I purchased an "Angie's Deal" for $99, expecting to have the whole job done for about $100 more. | |Arrangements were made in a timely fashion to complete the job, and the two young men arrived promptly as promised. They asked if I wanted all of the windows done, or just the 15 included in the deal. I guess that should have been my first clue that something was up, but I wanted all of the windows washed and said so. | |By their count, our house has 58 "panes," and the deal I paid for covered only 30... and one side only. That left 86 panes to be washed. |Here's the cost breakdown: | Deal: 30 panes $99.00 ($3.30/pane) | 86 panes @ $2.50 $215.00 | Sub-total $314.00 |Then there was an additional $10 charge for each time they had to move the ladder! | 12 ladder placement $120.00 | Grand Total $434.00 | |I should have said, "No," at that point. But for whatever reason, I didn't. I think I was in shock. | |Three and a half hours later, when they finally finished (past companies completed the job in 1-1.5 hours), and I wrote the check, I asked the young man to relay to his boss that this price was more than double what I had paid in the past. |He replied, "Yeah, if you call us directly it would be a lot less. Angies List takes a big bite out of our charge." | |So much for a "Deal."

Description of Work: we bought $99 window cleaning on Angie's list. They were polite/prompt/professional; however $99 special turned into $600 to clean the windows which strikes me as high since it is a 3 bedroom bungalow with approximately 20 windows. The windows looked great, but since I bought the special and my wife was home when they came adding another $500 seems like an awfully big number to clean the windows on a small house.
