Jen and her team built an addition on our upstairs for a bathroom. Because it's a modular home, there were some construction challenges, but they were overcome and the end result was very good. I would contract Jen again.

I chose Jen Czach because of the good reviews I found on Angie's List. This is my third whole house remodel, so I know the importance of finding a general contractor who you can trust with your home and your money. Jen understood that we had a deadline to move-in, and she met it. She handled scheduling all the subcontractors. With all remodeling jobs, there are a few changes and bumps as you go along, but Jen was able to roll with them all. When we had changes to the plan, I completely trusted her when she would tell me what the price difference would be. We were difficult to work with because we are very particular about the design and we were in a rush so she didn't have much pre-planning time. I could tell that our requests got to her at times when the frustration showed in her voice, but she always came through with the work. I commend her for that. I highly recommend Jen Czach.

We hired Jen Czach after interviewing several contractors and receiving many estimates. Jen was always trustworthy and honest and kept her estimates of work and materials within our budget. She has a lot of experience working on older homes and it showed in her knowledge of what had to be done and how much it would cost. She worked with us to plan the kitchen layout, but also was very helpful in the design and decoration of the kitchen. She personally helped us to choose the countertop, cabinets, and back splash that reflected our tastes without having to spend a fortune. She knows the owners of many shops and can find the right materials at the right price. Before the work began, she provided us with a schedule of the work so we would know when each stage would be completed and when the whole project would be done. Having your kitchen completely gutted and rebuilt is a project that disrupts your entire life, and having that schedule was great. We also agreed to a payment schedule based on her milestones. Jen and her trusted contractors stayed on schedule the entire way. The kitchen was completed on time and on budget. When the unexpected occurred, she and her team were able to find a solution. They were respectful in their work and cleaned up after themselves. The entire experience was very professional and without drama.... just like you would want! We would hire Jen Czach again and recommend her company to our friends and family. The kitchen looks and functions great!!

The day after we called about getting an estimate on replacing our stairs, Jen came out to our home to do the estimate. Within a week, we had an estimate for the work to be done and a week after that, our stairs were done! Jen was very responsive to any questions we had during the process and the subcontractor did an excellent job of building and installing our new stairway (no more squeaky stairs!). We were very, very pleased with the project work and have recommended Jen Czach Construction to family members.

We are extremely pleased with the results. Jen, the owner, handled every detail very professionally. She is knowledgeable, experienced, very personable and easy to work with. She also worked well with her sub-contractors, and was at the site with them, although they did most of the work. She was very helpful to us in choosing materials, even met us at different locations where counter top and back splash decisions had to be made. All the work was done quickly and professionally and cleaned up after. We highly recommend Jen Czach Construction.

They were everything that you would want a contractor to be. They were creative, helpful, and on time and on schedule. She kept us informed with problems, prices, and suggestions. Her work crew was excellent.

We live in a 1925 bungalow with a lot of bad do-it-yourself work in it. We hired Jen because she has great experience working in old homes! When we first met with her she was so nice and we knew she was the right person for the job! We had a laundry list of items we wanted her to work on as we were putting our house on the market. The biggest project was remodeling the bathroom in the upstairs. The plumbing work that was in there was crazy - they had the toilet up on a raised platform just to get it to drain properly, the vent stack was an exposed cast iron pipe that was unsightly and prone to sweating and a bit of leaking, the floor was an ugly linoleum that was peeling up and the the whole thing just needed a facelift. Jen's team replaced the plumbing and the vent stack with PVC, enclosed the stack, replaced the toilet, put in a new floor (which looks awesome!) and put back in the existing sink and claw foot tub with new fixture. When I show people before and after pictures they can't believe how great it looks! They also rebuilt the door frames and put in new doors in the upstairs as those had been done by a previous owner and the doors did not close and were in rough shape. What concept to have a bathroom door that closes all the way! We have an enclosed front porch and the front side of the house is wood. The border wood along the exterior of the porch has started to rot due to overflowing gutters, etc. Her team replaced those pieces. Inside the porch the beadboard ceiling was very old and was sagging with age (and when they opened it to peak in they realized it wasn't secured all that well) so they were able to put new beadboard up right over the top of the existing ceiling to eliminate a mess. Lastly, one corner of our very large deck had starting sinking. In order to not have to dismantle pieces of our deck, her crew actually crawled under the deck and dug new posts, secured with concrete, etc. all while laying on their bellies in that tight space. We were amazed and so thankful they saved us the extra work of having to replace boards and re-finish! Overall we were so happy with Jen and her team's work. Everyone was so friendly and they did quality work in a very short amount of time so we could get our house on the market. I would highly recommend Jen and we would love to use her again in future remodels at our new house!

We were looking to tear out and replace the old backsplash in the kitchen as well as tear up three layers of old linoleum and replace with wood laminate. Jen came out herself and looked at the job, she also told us as opposed to laminate wood, that she could match the rest of our original hardwood floors from the 1930's throughout the rest of the house. The job was finished in one weeks time with a few minor repairs that were completed at our convenience. We are very happy with the work and have given Jen's card to friends looking for remodeling repairs.

We're stunned and amazed. No, seriously; Jen did an awesome job on our house. Our house was in really bad shape; both in terms of upkeep and appearances; 40 year old roof and awning, gutters falling down, and spalling brickwork. It needed some serious updating, but we had no clue where to start. Jen worked with us to get a really great concept together, and then saw construction work through to the end. She was on top of everything, and we can't believe how quick and seamless the whole process was. The house looks great now, and when we consider everything we got done (new roof, reworked the front of the house with a new gable for the porch, masonry work, new sidewalk and patio, gutters, painting) the price was quite reasonable. We kept expecting problems or delays to surface but everything kept moving right on schedule! We would not hesitate to use her services again or recommend her.

Jen & sub-contractors had all parts, cabinets ordered and delivered before starting the job. Then started on schedule and ended on schedule. Jen helped us design and pick our granite, floor tile, cabinets and painting. Sub-contractors were fast and did quality work. Jen backs all her job with a warranty and price is very competitive.

All the services Jenczach provided were A-1. Work was performed in a timely manner and according to all estimates provided. Paint work was an issue at first, but Jen sent a different painting associate to correct the flaws left by the first crew. Overall I am very satisfied.

Everything was great. They made sure everything was cleaned up when they left each nite. And JEN the owner was very patient and helpful. She helped me with picking out my designs and went with me. She explained all the details in full. She was great at fixing anything if I had a problem with it. She is very hands on she knows how to do a lot of the work and can do it herself if her crew is to busy. Just an overall great experience. Would highly recommend this company and would use again. Ended up with a nice touch faucet that was a nice surprise . Had a new window installed recommendation from JEN. Turned out awesome.

Jen was fantastic. She told me that our tile was adhered directly to the plaster and that the cost to remove the tile, add the appropriate backing, and retile was going to be pretty expensive and we'd be without our only shower/tub for several days. Instead she recommended we leave the tile intact (since there was very little moisture in the wall and there was air coming in to dry it from the other side), and simply cover it with a Bath Fitter surround. She also did a quick re-caulking of some of the areas where the grout had fallen out completely and around the bottom row of tile where it met the tub - keeping additional water from seeping through while we awaited our new surround. I will definitely go back to Jen in the future when I have a project that needs careful consideration and integrity. She earned my trust and respect and I'd be happy to recommend her to friends and family.

I had Jen out for a quote on remodeling our bathroom. She said she was going out of town for the weekend, so to give her about a week for some estimates and drawings. That was back in February, and I still have not heard from her. She seemed to be very knowledgeable and and a good person to work with. But I never got a quote, so how could I even begin to hire her?

After obtaining three other estimates I chose to accept Jen's bid, not only based on cost but on my initial interactions with her and the fact that her time line was the shortest. I was having kitchen cabinets, sink/counter and back-splash replaced with no major changes in configuration, so to her it was a small job. She said it would be a 2 day tear-out & install of the cabinets, about a 7 day wait for the granite counter install & then 1-2 days to finish up & that is exactly what it was. One of the other companies told me I would be without a sink for a month! Jen is extremely knowledgeable. She accompanied us to the vendors she prefers to deal with and showed us our options based on the prices she used to formulate the quote. She was able to tell us the pros and cons of the different materials, in fact she answered any question I had. Though she does not do a lot of the work herself, she oversees every step & her team was awesome! Ted & Tommie did most of the work. They showed up at the time they said they would be there & cleaned up each day when they were done. Primo joined them for the last day & a half and he did a superb job setting the tiles for the back-splash. Everyone who has seen the finished product has said it is beautiful. This work was from the beginning done in a very professional, competent manner. Jen Czach was always very courteous, knowledgeable, cooperative, fair-minded, and understanding. As the general contractor, she hired subs who were also competent in their professions, very polite to us as the homeowners, and very efficient. She had an excellent working relationship with her subs, and it was apparent that they respected her expertise. Throughout the job, workers showed up on time and completed their work in a timely manner. Every effort was made to complete the job according to agreed upon specifications and with highest regard to satisfying us as the homeowners. We also felt the price for the job was very fair.

I the begining things went slow. I did have pictures of kitichens with things I liked; This helped. I thought it was a good idea to have a list of must haves and I was suprised to see the options I had available if I changed my priorities a bit. I did have to wait for materials after my kitichen and bath were taken down to the studs but after that things went pretty smooth. The electrician and plumber were on time most of the time but I was amazed at the amount of work being done by Jen Czach herself. Once everything was inplace Jen helped me pick accessories that made my space look very unique.

THe projects I have used Jen Czach Construction for have all gone well; Jen is honest, prompt, and has reliable sub-contractors on her team as well. Jen is on the job site with the sub-contractors and the jobs are started and finished within the time frame that is set originally.

I received several quotes prior to deciding on which company to use. I was immediately comfortable with Jen upon meeting her. She was very knowledgable and most importantly she understood that I needed to remain within a fairly tight budget. The home was built in 1925 and the kitchen was remodeled around 1960. So it was in sore need of an update. However, just having purchased it, my budget was tight. After our initial meeting Jen returned, about a week later, with a detailed concept including drawings. No other firm was willing to show me what I was getting in advance but she was very detailed. She told me where I could save some costs i.e. putting in a laminate countertop. I appreciated her honesty and I never felt like she was trying to up sell me. Once the project began it went pretty fast. She made a commitment to a timeline and she met it. Her crews were professional as well. She was sure the job site was as clean as possible at the end of every day which was much appreciated. I am very happy with the work she did! It turned out far better than I anticipated and she thought about details that didn't even cross my mind! I will absolutely use her for future work.
