Description of Work: Installed a new gas log insert. It was a complicated job and overall good work. However, I had to constantly call, follow up and catch mistakes. It was a long and costly job for me. I would use them again if I had the extra time.

+ -1 moreI contacted 3 other companies. American Fireplace was the only one with a showroom. When I entered the store on Friday, April 22 I was greeted by a young lady and she called a salesman (John) who showed me the log set-ups and how everything worked. We discussed the pros and cons of added features. He called his installer and was told I could have the work done on Monday, April 25. Outstanding. Joel arrived on time and was prepared to do the job. We discussed options on how the line would be run and then he got to work. His measurements were accurate and he used a drop cloth when working in the family room. He is a pleasant and professional person to work with. He showed me how to light the pilot light if it should go out due to a gas interruption. He positioned the individual logs to look like a natural wood fire. I am very happy with this company and would recommend them.
Description of Work: I wanted my wood burning fireplace converted to gas. It involved about 70 feet of gas line, cleaning and painting the inside of the fireplace, building the logs to look natural.
