I have been very blessed to find J. Thomas a very knowledgeable, hardworking and experienced one. After 3yrs of looking, every company that came wouldnt give me a quote because I feel like it was not a quick flip. My 1900s house needed a company that would take their time and J. Thomas was it. The ower, Jason explained everything day to day, even worked around my late-night work schedule. He is very reliable, very understanding & has very reasonable pricing for the custom work they do. My wrap around porch was rotted, sinking 6-1/2 and and pulling away from my house. They safety leveled all sides and totally rebuilt the sub-structure. They SAVED my beautiful custom pillars, all of the upper handmade spindles & rebuillt all new handrail that mimic the simplistic original details that once were there over 124 yrs ago. Installed, sanded & treated custom decking. But ACTIONS speak LOUDER than Words, so take a look at the pictures. (Rich, Troy, Jason and boys are so talented) Id hire them again definitely.

I did not know there was still a company around like J.Thomas Construction in Grand Blanc. I was repairing a few steps on my deck when I ran into a little problem. I went to 3 lumber yards with the old wood to have them cut the 2 pieces that were needed for each step. 1 piece was not as wide as the other, but no one would rip to the size I had to have. So I called 1 of those companies that recommend trade people. I called 1 on thelist and was embarrassed to ask them if they did small jobs. I sent Jason, the owner, a picture of my job. I actually thought he was going to laugh at me and tell me he couldnâ t help me.. He told me he was finishing a job but would stop on his way home and take a look. The job he was finishing was many many thousands of dollars he told me when he got to my house and showed me the picture of the job and a few others his company had done. They were amazing!! I showed him my project of 3 little step pieces of wood. He went to his vehicle, got his saw walked around to the back of my condo and ripped the wood. It took him 5 minutes. Jason was friendly, smiling and very professional in manner and ability. I wonâ t tell you how much he asked for, for payment because it would cause a rush on his already full schedule. If you are looking for a new deck or a repair on your current deck, I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed. I promise you, I donâ t know Jason, never met him before 2;30pm today, but if I ever need deck work again, I will call him!!! David, Grand Blanc

We originally hired them to build a roof over our existing deck at our business. I am satisfied with the business roofing. They also did an addition to my home. There are several issues that still need to be resolved.

They put in a second floor deck tore down old one as well. They were punctual. Great to work with. Great customer service. Very knowledgeable. Cleaned up afterwards. Very reasonable costs. Very professional. I would HIGHLY recommend. Will definitely use for any other project.

They built a deck for me and my husband. The material was Trex. They were able to beat the prices of other contractors that we were able to get quotes on. They communicated to us through texts and calls and were extremely timely on their responses. The deck looks amazing. We can't wait to enjoy it when the weather gets warmer. They were also able to do other little things around the house for us that we needed (putting up a shower door, theater, etc) for an extra fee. I would highly recommend!

Build a garage.

Completely gutted my entire kitchen and redid. I am really happy with how the kitchen turned out. I have recommended them to family and friends. Jason and Marty did a great job, the crews were polite and professionals and quality workmanship throughout, they did the full job the way we wanted it and have recommend this company to family and friends.

All I had to do was show them where I wanted the deck. They did everything else. Building permit, inspection, etc. Top quality and beautiful. I love it.
