Excellent. We could not be more satisfied. The timeline went exactly as Gary said it would. We had a challenging job that involved a large elevated patio. Gary brought in an extra crew to make sure everything went well. He was able to pour the concrete in one day. Gary also drove out to our house 3 or 4 times before the job was done to make sure everything was ready and to show us pictures and concrete stamps. We had several companies quote our job and are very happy we waited for First Impressions Concrete. And Gary was very good at returning calls in a timely manner.

The driveway looks great, it has been two years and no cracks. The crew was very professional.

I Contacted First Impressions to give an estimate on a stamped patio. Gary was over within twenty four hours, was very professional & knowledgeable. I had two other estimates, but we were very impressed with what we saw regarding his stamped patios. He was there on time & work was done within two days. Everyone on our street stopped by to see the patio & were impressed. We will probably see him again soon, as other neighbors wanted his business card.

terrible, i called 2 times in a 10 days span, never got a call back, called on 08/26/16 and left a message that i will be posting a review on Angie"s list, Gary called back and claimed that he left a message on Angie's list and on my phone which of course i never got, then he said that he does not need to explain himself to me in a very rude way, i do not recommend this company at all. i do not know how they got the reviews posted under their company

Everything went exactly as planned. We are very happy with the results.

Everything went smooth. From the time they stopped by to drop off the materials to the time it was power washed and sealed was about 1 week.

Excellent! Gary and his crew were punctual and very professional. From start to finish the work they performed was of the highest quality and we were very satisfied. We received 4 estimates and First Impressions Concrete was on the low end. Gary showed us pictures of different patios he had done in the past. He also provided us with an address of a home in our area with a recently completed stamped patio,for us to view. He was very accessible before and after the project. My 100% satisfaction was his goal and he achieved it!

I called First Impressions to get a quote to replace my walkway. They called me back about 24 hours later, asked me where I needed the work done and after I told him it was in Redford, they told me they were all booked up until September. I will try to find someone who can do the work sooner.

We could not be more impressed. Gary, the owner, came to our home and discussed the project. He listened carefully to what we wanted and presented a variety of options in terms of style of pattern and color. His estimate was the most thorough we received in terms of details and specs for the job. His price was in line with other estimates we received plus he seemed more professional than his competition, so we chose his company for the job. We are now delighted with our choice. Gary went out of his way to find stamps for an unusual pattern we chose. He worked with us to find a time for the job that was most convenient for our schedule. He and his crew showed up punctually. He had appropriate manpower and equipment to do the job efficiently. They worked quickly but carefully, taking great pains to not damage any of my driveway, sprinklers or lawn. They exhibited great craftsmanship and attention to detail to make certain everything was perfect. The resulting walkway exceeded our expectations. Virtually every neighbor on the block has stopped to tell us how nice it looks. In fact several asked for First Impression's business card so they can schedule work for their homes. We heartily recommend Fist Impressions to anyone needing concrete work.

Gary-A man of his word. Completely satisfied with work performed. Weather worked against him, but he managed to do everything he said. Both Driveways added a real plus to building.

Gary was very prompt in following up on my inquiry and turned around a quote on the spot. As soon as the weather cleared and warmed up, he had me on the schedule. The cap was pretty straight forward but the steps were a specific design that required attention to detail in the form work and they did a real nice job.

A major snowstorm, a small job and a deadline for a city inspection... Who would have thought that we could find someone to do the job? But we did and he did it so well staying in touch with us through the weather and being there timely when he said it was safe to do the repair.. We will use Gary and First Impressions Concrete in the future for larger concrete jobs at our home. It is not often these days to find this kind of customer service.

We were (and are still) in need of a small back patio. I have an old 1950's ranch in a South Lyon neighborhood, not a big, fancy new house in a subdivision. Gary gave me a fair price for the patio and leveling my front concrete step. He said there was no need to send the contract (which, in retrospect, I should have sent immediately,) but that because of the rain it would be late June before he could get to my job. Fair enough. I waited until the beginning of July, when I was told by Gary that he was still backed up on jobs due to the rain, and that I could expect to see him in late July. I called again mid-August, and this time, my call was not returned. I tried one more time, and the answering machine was full. No calls, no paito, and I'm now back on Angie's List looking for a cement contractor. This time, I will make sure I have a fully signed contract so that I do not waste another season waiting for a job that will never happen.

First Impressions is great! We called for an estimate for our parking lot, and had the work done the following week. It was simple and easy. They were very prompt to address our concerns, and take care of the issue. I highly recommend calling them for your concrete needs.

The front steps to my rental home were not to code and there was a section of the driveway that was creating a trip hazard. I was having a difficult time finding a company who was interested in doing a relatively small job. Gary from First Impressions was persistent in returning my calls. He was extremely professional. He answered all my questions, gave me an estimate, he took care of getting the permit, and provided a high quality meticulous product at a very fair price in a timely manner. Gary seems to take great pride in his work and I would not hesitate to use First Impressions Concrete again. I highly recommend this company!

We were interested in having our old patio updated with stamped concrete. First Impressions Concrete was the company that we chose from Angie"s List because of their high rating and good reviews .We contacted Gary , the owner, and we arranged a meeting . He came out ,listened to our ideas ,made some great suggestions and helped us decide on a pattern and colors . We really liked him right away . He was very professional , knowledgeable and easy to work with .He quoted us ,what we considered a very fair price ,and he put us on his schedule .Within a reasonable amount of time ,a couple of months , he called us and set up the time to do our job . He and his hard working crew arrived as promised and did a great job .Gary was there , working with them all of the time . They were friendly ,neat ,and very good at their job .We were extremely pleased with our new patio and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have a quality concrete job done !

It went fantastic, he was very honest with telling me that he was very busy and gave me realistic time frame which I accepted. The work came out beautiful, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do as far as a design and he came out with something that was economical but also very sharp.

We got an estimate back in April from Gary of First Impressions Concrete and after getting three other estimates, we decided to go with First Impressions. Although I was a bit concerned going with the lowest estimate, I did like the fact that Gary took the time to explain everything and gave us different design ideas with our porch and driveway. Gary also gave us a list of other driveways he had done and all of them looked really good, especially the ones that had been poured more than eight years ago. We signed a contract in early May but Gary told us he was very busy and that the driveway wouldn't get poured until August. This date got pushed back even further into September; but the delay worked in our favor because we had a sewer line get backed up due to tree roots. If Gary had poured in August, we would have had to have the new concrete busted up to replace the section of sewer line that ran under the driveway. Gary's crew did a great job of forming and pouring the driveway, sidewalk and porch. The forming was completed in one day and the pouring of the concrete was done the next day. Gary was even nice enough to fill in the low spots around the driveway with dirt. We were very happy with the job and we would definitely consider using First Impressions Concrete again.

Gary and his crew did a great job. He called to give frequent updates of how the project was progressing. An unexpected issue came up and he handled it well. The did a good job of cleaning up after the project and even gave us some extra dirt.

The project went as expected, although delayed a few weeks due to weather, which is obliviously an unavoidable circumstance. Gary was quick to return our calls, answered any questions we had, and fully explained the process ahead of time. He and his team were professional, skilled, and hard-working. We couldn't be happier with the results and are looking forward to using the patio for many years to come. The cost of the project was reasonable as well. I would encourage readers of this contractor to disregard the "F" rating given by another customer as this was not the service we received. We will not only use First Impressions again, but would recommend them to our neighbors and family.

Gary Watts and his crew were polite, courteous, and extremely hard workers. There was a bit of delay getting the job done because of the summer rains we had and other extenuating circumstances, but Gary and crew did an extremely great job. I was understanding and patient, and Gary worked with me as well. They cleaned up when done, did the job right, and even redistributed the removed dirt. They went above and beyond. I will always use First Impressions for any and all concrete work that I need. First rate job. My family loves our new patio.

Gary was very responsive with my phone calls seeking to schedule the work . He also took time and worked with us to find the right sidewalk colors and stamping pattern. He had lots of examples of previous work which was helpful. They worked quickly and we are pleased with the end result, The only issue in the end, was what we felt was poor replacement of the sod along the driveway and walkway as well as a damaged section of the yard which I was told was unavoidable as they could not do the prep work in the street. Gary was very friendly and fair and overall good to work with. Would recommend to others.

Despite a lot of ongoing rain which threatened to delay the work, the project was completed in a timely manner. Gary was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the project and very professional, as well as responsive to our questions and concerns, and certainly very hard working. He was also willing and able to provide good advice on color selections that would coordinate with our existing deck and the brick and siding colors on our house. We feel the final project is done in a top quality way, every bit as good as it would be if done by someone charging significantly more. (We did have other significantly higher quotes for similar work). We are very pleased with our new patio and sidewalk, and all of the backyard elements blend well together and complement each other nicely.
