David Wilhelm Landscaping

Working with David Wilhelm was a NIGHTMARE! He was all nice and professional before we signed the contract and gave him our deposit. He was always full of promises, but more so was full of excuses - broken equipment, previous job that was extended , I'm having a bad day, etc. Didn't return calls or text messages for weeks. We should have known - his contracts didn't list an address for the business and he didn't seem to have any office staff. He asked for payment -especially for anything additional- in cash. He didn't honor his 1 year guarantee for plants that didn't survive. When he would ask me to go to a supplier to pick out mulch or brick pavers, the suppliers all expressed their frustration working with David. On the plus side, the landscape is beautiful - thanks to his expert team of non-English speaking workers! Thank god that David would only show up occasionally. Too bad you can't contract directly with these guys - they did great work! The job took way too long, didn't start on time, and many days no-one would show up at all and it had nothing to do with the weather. David would set up appointments to meet with the homeowner and not show, or call, or respond to calls or texts until 6 or more hours or days later. Fair warning - don't fall for his slick talk!
