My husband and I hired John to paint the exterior of our home at probably one of the worst times of the year in Michigan, October when the weather is not the best. We live in a very rural area of the Thumb so it is difficult to find a contractor whom you have confidence in as not many to choose from. Despite the late time of year and the distance John was willing to take on this task for us. You can be confident John will make your home look as great as he did ours. I want to share several of the reasons you will make the right decision hiring John for the work on your home. We obtained several bids, John came to our home and explained what we needed and provided a very professional, detailed, accurate and fair quote. Throughout the process of work on our home John communicated each and every day with us as to his progress and anticipated completion time. We received text messages each morning as to arrival time which helped us immensely. We have a home that has cedar siding about 15 years old that was in pretty bad shape. John suggested the entire house needed to be sanded and washed prior to painting; this had never been done to our home and made all the difference. He sanded the entire house (which has a 12/12 roof pitch) meticulously, every nook and cranny was covered. Because of his great work on this part of the process we were able to change the color of the house which was an unexpected bonus. He assisted us in choosing the new color; we did not even have to go to the store, he brought paint samples to us. He painted several pieces of cedar with the colors we were considering so we could get a true idea of how the new shade would look on our home. It was great to get his professional opinion on what color schemes would work with what we had in place already as far as our windows, doors and trim. He then sprayed and brushed every inch of our home with precision and care. It was amazing to see the transformation. Our home has never looked this beautiful even from when we first built it. The most impressive part of John?s work is his attention to the details. He painted our downspouts, window trim, vent trim, dryer vent and several other additional parts of the exterior. Most importantly, we did not ask for these extras; he suggested this touches to make the end result look even better. I will add that he did not change the estimate based on doing these added tasks. Several of our exterior lights had shown wear and water damage at the attachment point to the house, he removed them, placed new cedar on the house and reattached the lights with new caulk and trim paint; all his idea, no extra charge and they look awesome! During the project our family had planned a party; when the project went long due to weather; John was more than amiable to taking the day off so we could have our celebration. Prior to leaving the day before he removed all plastic, debris and work in progress to make the home look nice for our company despite the project in process. During the extended time this project took because of the weather issues; John was patient and stuck it out; painting in not the best of conditions with a smile and cheerful attitude. Best of all, John is professional and caring in attitude. Greeting the family each day with a great outlook, showed true respect and care for anything he worked with at our home.
