Birds Beware Window Cleaning

The job gets an A+. The crew arrived on time. They were prepared to work and had a complete list of what was contracted. They were exceptionally professional and worked the entire time. Their effort and the materials used made the aluminum siding look like it was just painted. The windows were thoroughly cleaned inside and out and the tracks were cleaned perfectly. The screens look like new. Throughout the project the crew had me check the work to be sure that it was what I expected. They were friendly professional and detailed in their work. I would hire them again. This was my third job done by the company. All three experiences were excellent. I had the gutter cleaning and whitening done on a previous visit and it was well worth it. I would give them my highest recommendation.

I was able to set everything up via email. They arrived on time and went right to work. They were clean, friendly and efficient. They did an outstanding job on everything and we have now requested to be on their yearly call list.

I brought the Angie's Deal for exterior pressure wash, but I needed additional services to my house. I called Birds Beware and added roof cleaning and window washing. I was very pleased, they lived up to their good reputation. I will use them again.

I am never washing windows again, why would I when Birds Beware did the whole house in so little time. They washed both interior and exterior; they did the screens and window sills too.

I'm very grateful to this company. I have previously had the clothes dryer vent cleaned, but this company went into our attic and told my husband we had a fire hazard since the vent had never been piped outside. We were totally unaware of this and have called another company to have that done. They did a very nice job cleaning a chandelier and changed all the bulbs. Some of our windows had screens that couldn't be removed so they unfortunately did not get cleaned. I was disappointed to see cobwebs left adjacent to the cleaned window, when a swipe of a cloth could have eliminated it. They told my husband they would reduce our bill because they couldn't clean the windows with screens but I don't think that was done. However my complaints are quite minor. You know when they say they clean the dryer vent--they indeed do it,even if the access is not easy.

They were punctual and let me inspect it when the job was done.

They were actually early. Called first. The company was very responsive. Excellent customer service. The windows were windows were one beautifully. Would definitely recommend them without hesitation.

If you don't read the entire review, just know that in the end, I still recommend this small family owned company. I firmly believe that we should support small businesses whenever possible, even if it means that not everything goes as smoothly as one would hope. We had 2 houses that needed roof cleaning. I'll refer to them as H1 and H2 (House 1 and House 2). H1 - Roof only: The crew arrived on time. Sprayed the roof as expected. Overspray got onto the windows and the 15' trailer we had sitting in the driveway. The spray itself leaves a streaky residue that looks like soapy / oily residue. It smells like bleach. H2 - Roof and window cleaning: The crew had trouble with the earlier appointment so they called to tell me they were running late. They came to clean windows first even though I asked if overspray would get on the windows. I was assured that the windows would get touched up if any of the spray got on them so I proceeded to allow the windows to get cleaned first. MISTAKE # 1 on my part. DO NOT get windows done first. Get roof done first if you're doing both! Birds Beware has what I believe to be the most amazing customer service, but honestly, it took a lot of my own personal time and effort to arrange for repeat visits. Windows were missed during the visit at H2 but Birds Beware was very quick to get me back on their appointment schedule. The interior window cleaning resulted in streaks on the ceiling where our skylights were located - WARNING! If you don't want your skylights done, be sure you tell the crew at the time of their arrival. It seems the original message to not touch the skylights didn't make it to the crew that arrived. This is where my next problem began. So the skylight streaks stained the ceiling and we ended up with a problem that had to get fixed. More on this in a minute. The window crew got spots all over an area of my freshly shampooed carpet. I reported this issue as well. H1 - Roof only: It took a 2nd application to addres some areas of the roof that didn't come clean. I was told that less than 1% of homeowners require a 2nd spray. I don't believe this after having H1 and H2 re-sprayed. Birds Beware was very professional and courtesous about coming out a 2nd time to take care of streaking that remained on the roof of H1 and H2. No questions asked. H2 - Window cleaning appointment # 2 was made and the 2nd crew that came out, touched up the exterior windows and took care of a window they missed on their first visit. In the process of the 2nd appointment, they took a look at the stained ceiling and tried to remove the drip marks. No luck. The next thing that happened really got me. The person who just finished confirming that the drips wouldn't come off the ceiling, proceeded to attempt to clean the cathedral skylight in our staircase. There's a 4 skylight window feature in the highest peak of our staircase that's nearly impossible to reach. Well, he reached it and guess what?! Yup, new drip marks on a new area of the ceiling! I couldn't believe what happened. I reported this as well. Again, Birds Beware customer service was amazing in owning up to the problems they created. No fuss at all. I was asked to obtain a quote from a painting company to re-paint the 3 individual ceilings where the drip marks were and was told they'd take money off the bill for the carpet spots for the inconvenience of having to spot clean them. H2 - Roof cleaning 2nd visit. The crew showed up and were prompt and polite. They proceeded to spray the roof and get stuff on the windows again, then touched up the windows. In the process of touching up the windows, they put their solution on the windows but on two windows they forgot to remove the solution with their squeegee. They were getting back into their vehicle and packing up their things when my husband chased them down and showed them the areas they forgot. While talking with them, he asked if they finished the 2nd structure and they said they didn't. They still had work to do but didn't realize there were windows yet to be done. In the end, everything has been taken care of with zero arguments along the way. At no point in time did Birds Beware try to deflect or shrug off any responsibilities for the problems their crews created. For this reason, since this is a small family owned business, I think they could have a very successful business if they had a team leader running each crew who had half a brain. There were some seriously avoidable issues created along the way. Having the roof done, then windows is the only way to go. If you plan to have windows cleaned, do yourself a favor and buy a squeegee and do them yourself. The only reason we opted to pay for the service is that we have a hundred projects to do on the new house we just bought and the windows hadn't been touched in probably the entire time the prior owners owned the house (since 1988). All told, I'd use this provider again because I support small businesses. I'd just make sure I followed them around while they were working and supervised the job myself if I have them come back again. The roof shouldn't ever need to be touched again so I'm told. As for windows, I'll probably just do those myself after we move and get settled. I've referred this company to my real estate agent who needs to get her roof done. I hope she has a smoother experience than I did.

They were right on time, it didn't take them long and all the windows were very clean and they also wiped down the screens.

Workers were prompt and professional. Had to reschedule to complete the job due to rain, and the manager was diligent with follow up. Overall, I was very happy with the work and price.

Best experience ever!! Since we could not be at the house during the gutter cleaning, we paid in advance. The gutters were spotless when we arrived back at the house!! Very personable on the phone and they made the whole process painless!! Hire them!!

Crew arrived earlier than expected, a good thing. Every thing went great. The only miscommunication involved the deck. I expected to just have the algae and mold removed knowing I would be having some wood replacement and restaining done in the future. I know I discussed this with Mike, the sales rep. I ended up with a deck that must be stained immediately. That said, Stuff happens. Bryan was very skilled with the pressure washer and DID NOT use too much pressure. I have had bad experiences in the past where the wood was fried by careless employees from another company, and this was NOT the case with BBW. The team worked together well and completed everything in a little over 3 hours. Another issue with rep involved patio cleaning. He indicated that the crew would be using a rotating machine and they knew nothing about that. Bryan assured me that he would get it clean. I had misgivings but he was totally right---it looks great. I will be counting on BBW for future needs. I guess I would say to the rep to put it in writing----so everybody is on the same page!

They crew arrived on time. We had only scheduled to have our front roof cleaned but asked them if they could also clean the gutters. They were happy to add on the gutters. The employees from the estimater, scheduler to the cleaningcrew are all customer friendly. They go out of their way to give the customer what he/she needs.

The crew did a great job on my windows, inside and out. My chandelier looks brand new!

I asked Birds Beware to quote gutter and window cleaning. They arrived right on time and did a thorough assessment of a variety of cleaning needs. Plenty of good, informative, no-pressure suggestions on services, so I decided to add roof cleaning to the mix. We scheduled the service for a few weeks later at my convenience and the crew showed up a few minutes early (Bravo!). Because of the inclement weather that day, they refrained from washing the roof due to safety concerns. I was made aware of this possibility at the time of booking, so I understood completely. I admire a business that puts its workers? safety and the quality of their work ahead of making a buck, since the roof washing was considerably more than the other two services I had them perform. I will gladly schedule them to come out again in the spring to clean the roof. They were professional and courteous. and did a great job. Even better, my wife didn't need to worry about me scampering up the ladder with a garden hose!

Making appointment was fast and easy. Crew arrived on time. Everyone was courteous and professional. Cleaning was thorough and efficient. We are very satisfied with the quality of their work.
