Thornton & Grooms are wonderful! From repairing a 5-zone boiler in our home, to replacing heating pipe, fixing a leak, or unclogging a toilet ... and they have done ALL that in our home in the past six months! While very unfortunate that we needed major and minor work done and only a tiny bit was covered by insurance, it was as painless as possible with them. Boiler specialist Jeff is fantastic and they all do excellent, perfect work! We bought a package that was SO worth the money and have a free inspection scheduled for next week. They are great!! Not the least expensive, but worth every penny!

It was $5000, it's expensive. Our previous furnace was through Carrier and evidently, we weren't aware of it, but there was a massive class action suit before due to a faulty part, which is what ended up happening to us. So through this class action lawsuit we would automatically get $800 off to purchase a new furnace. So, we went with Lennox. The one we wanted, he didn't have in stock so he said, "If you go up to the next one there is $500 difference. It's top of the line and we will take $300 off." So we got the top of the line. It's called Generac. They're a top notch company. They really did a good job, they're really very, very professional. They walk in, they put the booties on their feet, so they're not tracking through your house. They get done and you don't know they were even there. We had to have inspectors come out from the city or the township, electrical inspectors and so forth just to make sure everything was installed properly. That all got approved. There were no issues.

Each tech who entered my house after the flood was wonderful. Each was efficient and considerate of my situation. Even better: with all my issues, I might have needed to deal with different techs but they were all coordinated through a single company.

The installation was done professionally with excellent results. Everything was explained to us clearly so that we understood the basic installation. They provided us with regular updates until the project was completed. Also, they pointed out an electrical violation that had to be corrected before they could complete the job. Finally, the cleanup was one of the best that we have ever had from a home improvement company.

These guys were fantastic. Were out same day to address our issue, and communication as to when they'd arrive and next steps were right on. Provided accurate info and an honest recommendation of how to proceed to alleviate our problem. We've found our plumbers!

Great. Mark was professional, friendly, and really knows about radiators and boilers. He was great at explaining how they work and with helping me to understand how to regulate each radiator.

The plumber came before he said he would be here which was great. He did a good job and was prompt and courteous. He tried to make an appointment with a video technician but wasn't able to do so. We appreciate his effort.

I recently installed a new furnace from this company. Installment and responsiveness was great. No complaint. But post-installment service has been terrible. I got a furnace check up and received a need of repair/adjustment because of violation. Since then, I have been trying to schedule the repair to fix this issue. This company has been unprofessional. They never called me back regarding this issue. I have called probably more than 6 times over 1 month. They do not take care of this business seriously. How come, they do not provide service after selling their service? Ridiculous. I am frustrated about their service after purchasing furnace.

This was our first furnace inspection by them. I knew at some point we would have to replace our 27-year-old furnace. Well, it appears this is the year. Then Don told me some news about our other furnace that came as a shock. This is a high-efficiency furnace I thought was in excellent condition, apparently not so. It makes me wonder what those others companies were doing during the annual inspections all of these years. My husband, an engineer, saw exactly what Don was saying. Don was here for hours doing the most thorough check up I've ever seen. Even though he turned out to be the "angel of bad news," he couldn't have been more delightful and knowledgeable. The "angle of bad news" was the name he gave himself.

We will never use them again. They're overpriced. They charged for an actual quote when they weren't supposed to.

The initial inspection was done late on a Friday. Options and estimates were presented. Having made a decision financing was set up and approved on the spot. The following Wednesday the Thornton & Grooms team arrived promptly at 8:30am. The water damage had been treated the day before by another company with bacteria eating enzymes and a plastic vapor barrier laid over entire effected area of the crawl space covering the contaminated soil. 2 guys worked down in the crawl space and at 1 at floor level. The old cast iron drain line was cut out and removed. The new main PVC drain line was installed from the utility room at one end of the house to the bathroom at the other end of the house. The old cast iron drain line had laid on the ground contributing to the corrosion. I'm sure there was some unsavory stuff going down the inside that was the main culprit. The new drain line hangs from the floor joists making for a much neater installation. New PVC connections were made from the new main drain line to the utility tub, kitchen sink, bath tub, bathroom sink and toilet. The guys worked solidly the whole day. The job was completed by about 7:30pm the same day minimizing the inconvenience. They took pictures of the finished job alleviating the need for me to go down in the crawl space to check it out. Everybody was friendly and courteous with the work done in a very professional manner.
