We have always used them. They are a local company. They are "A"s across the board. They are great. We have a program with them and this is a service with them. We would certainly use them again.

They were very professional but I believe they were gouging us on their prices and we're trying to just sell us a new unit. We paid the $69 service fee and won't use them again!

Excellent, very professional and good quality work was performed. He was a perfectionist!

The gas line installation went well. No issues found, unfortunately a leak was found in our new appliance but the line showed no leaks.

They responded quickly on a Saturday and had a new furnace on Monday. They provided temporary heaters to make sure the house stayed warm.

terrible - they had to come back twice and they had to have supervisors come out to take care of the problem(s)

Work was done by Cody Spear very professionally and clean. Took his time to explain everything he was doing and he couldn't be more helpful.

Plumber was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Explained cause of problems and all work as he went. Helped me determine best price under the circumstances (opted for a one-year service plan). Although the work is only a few hours old, it appears to be of high quality.

All services provided satisfactorily.

Drain cleared and disposal now works great.

1) The tech recommended I change my outside spigot and water lines. Moving water lines through a finished ceiling in my basement and moving an existing spigot to just outside my front door. The estimate was almost $30,000.00. I was able to get the current line insulated and it cost me under $800.00 2) My water tank broke and I wanted to try a tankless water heating system. Tech wanted to juryrig water lines and make some structural changes. That estimate was almost $20,000.00. I did get other estimates, and was able to get a Rinnai installed for about $3,500.00. 3) was a small repair. I cannot recall all the information on that one, but it seemed too high and I got other estimates. I LOVED the original owners and used them exclusively for many years. After the brothers bought the business, I found the service poor, and as you can see gouging prices. Even the owner (I asked if they were on commision) admitted he was surprised I gave them 3 chances before I crossed them off my list. Take my advice and get LOTS of other estimates. I think they are cheaters.

Thornton & Grooms was very responsive; out first thing the next morning (on a Saturday). My technician clearly explained everything and was very friendly. I would be happy to recommend or hire again.

They promptly set up an appointment given short notice with the emergency clog. They showed up the same day and quickly handled the drain clog with a professional demeanor. Given the need for same day services, the pricing was ok. I was asked to schedule followup services, and instructed upon further inspection that I would need to have a drain clearing which was much more costly.

I was very pleased with the outstanding service of James (Jim) Burgess. I give him the highest grades. He represents Thornton and Grooms very well.

Great. The whole team identified the problem. Walked me through my options and fixed it. Best of all, they stayed within the quoted price.

Most everything was top notch - promptness /communication /quality of work / very pleasant, thorough and knowledgeable plumber. Using Angie's price indicator, the high end estimate for this job was $450, they charged $625. There was approximately $50 - $75 in parts and the plumber spent two hours on the job. The thing I found most troublesome about the cost, they charge $70 for an estimate, in addition / above and beyond the cost of the actual job. In 40 years of dealing with contractors, I've never had any other company charge for an estimate, when they were awarded the job. In the end, it was my fault, I should have asked, but it never occurred to me to ask. They do a great job, just be prepared to pay dearly for the work.

I was extremely pleased with their service. They arrived on-time, presented me with several options, told me what they would do, did what they stated and cleaned up. Very satisfied.

Went well - found capacitor that could fail in the near future. Saved having to have them come back

Very efficient and did a great job. Looks so much better now that it is not hanging off the house.

Dorian L. was a great plumber! He found the problem quickly and dealt with the fix that involved him having to work in the small dead space under my counter. After the work was done, he cleaned up the sawdust, mess, etc. entirely. He even cleaned up the water stains the leak had made on my basement floor. Dorian was very pleasant, professional, neat and thorough.

My new toilet looks great! Tom Nummer was very professional and did a wonderful job! I am referring Thornton and Grooms to my family and friends for plumbing and HVAC services.

The company came to snake a clogged drain line. The technician was unable to clog the drain, he would have someone come out tomorrow with a camera. A new technician came out the next day, was unaware that someone was out the day before, which doesn't make sense, but said the camera wouldn't go through the water so he would have to come back tomorrow with an ultrasonic tool to track where the pipe goes. He indicated that it was a broken or rotted pipe under the floor and we should contact our insurance company to see if anything is covered because they would have to take out the stairs, the carpet would be ruined and our shower and bathroom possibly could be torn up. The technician called me the next day to tell me he was on his way to the house. His first question was "did you happen to talk to your insurance company?". He was more worried about rebuilding my house instead of talking about the drain issue. After using the ultrasonic tool, he indicated to me that the breakage was under the stairs and they would need to be removed and the wall and shower might need to be removed. He would have to send out another person to quote the removal of the stairs and the rebuild of the bathroom. He also indicated he wouldn't know anything until they dug up the pipe. He also indicated we could line the pipe which meant we wouldn't have to tear up the house. He quoted the lining of the pipe to be $6629.37, with a 5 year warranty but indicated that this would last for 50 years. He also quoted $4798.57 to replace the pipe, but this does not include any removal of the stairs or walls and we would also have to remove the tiles in the laundry room. I had another company come out to give me a second opinion and they said that where he is stating the pipe broke didn't make sense. They snaked the line and the clog freed up and everything is fine. No broken pipe at all. .

It is always a pleasure to have Mike service our equipment. He is respectful of our home, he is familiar with our history, and always takes the time to explain what is going on. I learn something new whenever he visits. The home office is great with communicating his arrival time and the emailed photo before he arrives provides peace of mind.

Quick response for my clogged drain. John respected my home by meticulously cleaning up when he was finished. He thoroughly explained everything (without being condescending, which is never a given when a service guy speaks with a woman--bravo!). I'll certainly call them again when I'm looking for any plumbing work.

Tyler was very professional and provided excellent service. He provided updates and repairs to several plumbing issues that were not a problem but covered under the service plan and will, therefore, be of benefit in the long run. He arrived outside of the appointment "window" but the office kept me apprised of the delay.
