Jeff is experienced and highly skilled He uses his I-tablet to cost out each option. He is genuinely interested in providing the service that I want and need. I trust him to deliver outstanding results. He is efficient, tidy, and a warm friendly person. After the 2 jobs he has done for me, I feel very lucky to have found someone who is knowledgeable, customer-focused and nice to work with. I recommend him to all my friends that complain about the service they have gotten elsewhere. Having the Platinum Plus service contract is a great option that provides outstanding service and lowers costs if you need repairs done.

Rodney was awesome, he keep me informed and updated as the job took most of the day. Very professional and easy to talk with. I have used Thornton and Groom for my heating and cooling needs so now I can add plumbing as well. The people and the company as just first class.

They say they are going to be here and it's always a three hour time limit but if they are running late because the tech has run into trouble in the previous job they will call and they will tell you that their tech is tied up and will be closer to four o'clock. I've always found them to be very professional and I appreciate that kind of notice.

Explained procedure, tarped work area, cleaned up Although was told first objective was to restore main bathroom, water not turned on to this area till 6pm, having been shut off about 9.30am Two plumbers began, but one had to leave at 4, delaying completion. Remaining plumber worked diligently, completing work and cleaning up till 9:30pm. The plumber that left early needed to ....tell me about the hole in wall behind toilet due to plumbing changes. I discovered this and had to ask him. Also he needed to add a clamp to new water line when I noticed it was sagging, and he did not put back the guest room cupboard wooden cover that closed up the tub connection. Although I am not a plumber, both men answered my questions during the entire daylong operation. Because of the evening work of the main plumber and his willingness to help me vacuum, I sent him home with a large Jets pizza.

The technician, Johnie Moore III, was efficient, thorough, personable - completely professional service in every respect. The same has been true of virtually every service person we have dealt with through T&G. Your scheduling and dispatch process - not so much. I had an 8-12am window, Friday, July 15. I received periodic updates, being told that my technician would be closer to 12:00. I was then informed that it looked more like 2:00. He arrived, to the best of my recollection, about 2:20. My appointment had been made about a month ago. I understood that A/C service calls in July would be difficult to schedule, hence the month delay. I cannot imagine why an appointment on the books for about a month would not be early in the am, if not the first one. An e-mail sent to me on Friday, July 15, in the afternoon, said that my appointment window was between 12:00 and 4:00. That is not the case. Moreover, T&G is too good a company to be playing games like this. If you're late, you're late. My inability to leave the house while arrival time is repeatedly pushed back calls, at the least, for some acknowledgement and an apology. One thing I must reiterate -- Mr. Moore was in no way at fault in this matter. His services were exactly as described above. My experience with T&G has been outstanding. I was moved to write because this is the second time I have had an morning appointment pushed into the afternoon. Mistakes happen, and the interference with my schedule was an annoyance, not a catastrophe. But I meant what I said above -- you are too good to engage in CYA actions.

Very professional and thorough explanation even though I knew the units very old. I was shown why unit not functioning.

. Problem was found quickly and I decided to do deep cleaning of air conditioner and furnace. This price also includes a return visit to prepped furnace for winter. The technician was extremely curtious and knowledgable. he made sure that I understood the problem and was satisfied with how to rectify it.

Very professional, timely and clean. He even cleaned the entire floor which was covered with rusty water. He also gave me the name of a company who can clean-up the water leakage in the next room.

Our technician, Tori, was awesome. He is new to the company and contacted his manager to help diagnose why our air conditioner was not working well after doing a thorough assessment. He was very personable, polite, and respectful of our home. He did not pretend to know everything and let us know that he was contacting his manager, Adam, to assist and verify his diagnosis of the problem. We really appreciated his honesty and willingness to get things right. We are considering replacing our old air conditioner with a new one due to the age of our existing unit. The cost to try and fix it is not much less than the cost of a new unit. Tori and Adam helped us figure out the next steps. Both were awesome. We would definitely recommend Thornton and Grooms.

We are the 2nd owners of a new home where the Providers name and number were noted on our AC unit with the promise of extended hours and friendly service, and 24-7 emergency service. Unit stopped working and I called the number on the unit for a repair. The provider gave me a date 11 days out. When I requested something sooner as the house was extremely hot, the provider said they are only servicing their platinum members. I inquired into becoming a platinum or platinum plus member, which would cost between $200-$300, I was told only current members could get next day service and I would still be looking at least a week out. The provider did not seem very interested in having my business, even as a platinum plus member. Very disappointed that the provider didn't stand behind their own unit installation or seem to care about continuing to service a home that simply had new owners who could be potential new and loyal customers.

I scheduled an appointment for plumbing. I explained that it was urgent that we had a leak somewhere and part of the ceiling drywall had fallen down. They assured us not problem. In the afternoon started getting phone calls that they would be late, and then of course the final call "we will not make it there". I explained that we had communicated the urgency of our situation to the scheduler and was assured someone would be out at the scheduled time. There answer was "that is the way it goes". Would NEVER use them again. Unreliable, unprofessional, would never deal with them again.

James quickly identified the problem and inop condition was quickly resolved. He thoroughly made sure no other issues existed. James also recommended other maintenance requirements (air filters and pump maintentance). He also suggested an ultraviolet system which we are considering.

Made an appointment one week in advance, They called the day of the appointment and stated that they over booked and could not come out until a week later. Service tech showed up and he was knowledgeable and helpful and made the repair. Probably spent 10 minutes on the job and replaced no parts and charged us $300. No much competition so they I guess they can charge what they want.

Bill was professional and personable. Answered my questions, treated me with respect. Explained things when I asked. I was most impressed with the quality of the work. Having had shoddy work in the past from others, I was more than pleased with the work. Bill shared with me his experience in the field and his expertise for the task at hand. He cleaned up - even more than he had to which was impressive. I will request Bill specifically when I have additional plumbing work done, and I will certainly recommend the company to friends and colleagues.

James, the technician was very nice and knowledgeable. I will call them again for any HVAC maintenance.

This is our first experience with Thornton and Grooms. We could not have been more impressed with James. This was for a spring AC tuneup. No one has ever spent the amount of time James did and explained so thoroughly what he was doing. Even the engineer in the family was impressed. The units are old and we were given many options on how to handle them from replacing to prolonging their lives to doing nothing. Their service contract is very fair and a lot less than we were paying before.

Our bathroom drain was stopped up and after several unsuccessful attempts at trying to unclog it ourselves, I saw that Thornton & Grooms was running a special on clogged drains, so I checked Angie?s List and called them for service. We also had a basement drain backup that needed to be checked out. When I called to make an appointment for someone to come out, surprisingly availability for same day service was quite flexible. Because of my schedule that day, I chose a later time. My service window was between 4pm-8pm, and Aaron came closer to the end of the window. At first I didn't think he would show because it was getting late. I called and the after- hours dispatcher assured me that Aaron was still coming and would call me 30 minutes ahead when in route. I liked the fact that we received advanced email notification of the repairman that had been assigned to my job and his picture. When Aaron arrived he thoroughly checked out the basement drains to determine where the backup was coming from. He checked the sump pump and determined it had stopped working. Then he snaked out the bathroom drain, which took no time at all. He was thorough in his assessment, careful to wear protective footwear and did a great job on the clean-up. I normally go behind repairmen even when they have cleaned up behind themselves. So I did the same with Aaron, but there was nothing for me to clean up after him! They were running a $99 special to unclog the drain, but I got the service warranty for $10 more that covered the service call and included some free maintenance checks during the year. The price he quoted me for a new sump pump and installation was pricey and I opted not to get it at the time. But he did say if I chose to purchase my own pump, he couldn?t warrantee it for me (he could only warrantee one he sold me) but he would install it for me. Just having the bathroom sink unclogged and knowing about the drain and sump pump was a relief. I wish I had of done it sooner.

Late Saturday evening we found a couple inches of water in our furnished basement. We tried everything to the point of shutting down all water coming into the house. It was then that we realized the water was flowing in vs out of our sanitary drain. Called for Service to determine the issue. Tony snaked out drain to city main and found no blockage, but the water kept coming in. He went outside to find the main and sanitary drain. Determined it was a city blockage. Tony knew who to call to get the city to respond. Stayed with us as we dealt with the city responders do their investigation to intervening for us to make sure that they came out to remove the blockage. He continued to remain to make sure that all water was removed. He also recommended an organization for the cleanup and put us in touch with them that morning. This was a serious situation with contaminated water which could cause life threatening illness coming into our home which needed to be dealt with. Nice to work with such knowledgeable and caring people and were thankful that Tony was on call that night.
