 + -1 moreI gave up expecting an adjustment because a Steinkopf employee recommended incorrectly despite all the information I had provided. Steinkopf was not going to honor their warranty - their mistake transferred to being my fault. This was all within the warranty period. The bush has remained planted because its appearance is satisfactory from the street but will be replaced next spring. I went to a professional but did not get professional advise or an adjustment.
Description of Work: I needed a replacement bush to match a bush that had been planted for some time. The existing bush and the replacement were to be on each side of a front window on my home. I took to Steinkopf a clipped sample of the existing bush, pictures of my existing bush and its location and a picture of where the new bush would be planted. Steinkopf did not have the exact bush but suggested one that was very similar. The replacemet bush was a TAXUS CAPITA tagged at $159.99 less a small discount. Well within the warranty period I went to Steinkopf and explained the side of the bush facing the house had died. I was told I should not have planted the bush where I did because it needed sunlight which the pictures I presented when I purchased showed that the planting would be against the house partially under the house overhang, I was told nothing else except to purchase a plant fertilizer from them which obviously would not revive dead foliage. I said I would return with the pictures I orginally presented to Steinkopf at the time of purchase. It was obvious at the time that Steinkopf did not want to honor their one year warranty. When I returned with pictures etc I asked for the Manager (owner?) I had talked to about the problem. The employee returned and said he was told the man I wanted to talk to was busy (telephone?) and to tell me to come back some other time!

 + -1 moreI really like them. I think they're very well priced. They do a really nice job. They're very professional. And what I liked especially, when they come to do the work, they send a crew that's big enough to get it done in the shortest amount of time possible. So you're not having someone there for five days, you're having five guys there for one whole day.

 + -1 moreI selected the honey locust tree, we agreed on a date to install it early in the morning. They came on time, I showed where tree should be planted, left for work and it was beautifully done when I came home. Now almost 5 years later, the tree has grown nicely in dry soil, as was expected.

 + -1 moreI found a locust tree at the Steinkopf location. We scheduled a date for Steinkopf to install it. They cane on time earl in the morning and I showed them where to plant it. Everything was done perfectly well. It is now 5 years later and the tree has grown and developed as expected, in dry soil. I would hire Steinkopf again.

 + 0 moreA great company to work with. The crew that handled tree and shrub removal were friendly and efficient and left the area neat and clean. John's landscape crew was delayed due to bad weather conditions but when they came out they worked quickly. They were easy to work with and understood the look we were trying to achieved. Very satisfied.
Description of Work: Removed tree and shrubs and ground out roots, trimmed 18" dia. limb from adjacent tree. Planted 12 - 6' arborvitae plus approx. 30 ferns, astilbe, etc. Finished the area with edging and stone ground cover.

 + -1 moreI sent the email once I got home because I was excited. I followed up after approx 2 weeks and left a message with my number. No one called back. I even tried to connect again and sent another email on June 19. I'm not sure why Beth would suggest sending an email if they had no intention of responding. It was a waste of my time.
Description of Work: We stopped up at the nursery to look around, and had a few questions about creating a privacy screen in our back yard. Beth was really great to talk to and there was a lot to look at. She suggested some plant varieties for our project and asked me to email her with a picture of our back yard so that she could provide some suggestions for design with the suggestions she made.
