These guys are real pros and do excellent work. My only concern is that the owner is on the older side, and so I'm afraid they will retire and shut down the business! The quality of their work is amazing.

We recently had my mother's cedar chest refinished. My father bought it for my mother as an engagement present in 1945. Even though my mother took very good care of it, my father really didn't do as good a job caring for it. And all of my efforts since his passing to undo all of the neglect through the years, were for naught. So now, 76 years later, I decided that it was definitely worth the cost of having a skilled craftsman restore it to it's original beauty. And I am so glad that I decided to entrust it to Old World Refinishing. I hoped that they would do a really good job but to my surprise and great pleasure, I am sure that it has never been more beautiful. And, also surprisingly, it was back in our home is less than a month. I wish my dad was still alive to see how beautiful it looks. Thank you Old World Refinishing!

Awful. Per their website we used their link and sent photos and dimensions of 2 pieces we were looking to have done. Mind you, we found them based on their reviews. Our quote was met with a rude response that didn't even acknowledge us, nor were they kind enough to introduce themselves (use their name). The disposition of the email was uncalled for and it insulted our inquiry and our furniture. If I can't trust you with courtesy, I sure as **** can't trust you with my furniture. They may do good work, but no one deserves to be treated in a condescending manner. No thanks.

We could not be happier with the results. The table looks like new now (it had previously had bad water stains and looked worn). The work was completed on time as promised.

They did an excellent job and I was very pleased with the results. At the time they sounded like they were what I needed and they were in the right place. I was looking for something fairly close, something fairly easy to get to.

They were very responsive when I sent the pictures and gave me their advice on how to proceed, which I took. They finished quicker than they had quoted. The two pieces match now and look beautiful together. I can't tell you how relieved I was to get them back and so pleased with how they look. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I would absolutely trust them to handle another job in the future.

I thought the job went well. While the finished color was not exactly what I expected it to be, I like it and the refinishers did the best they could with what they had to work with.

Staff was excellent with customer service. They did a beautiful job on refinishing our dining room table, and as a plus, it was completed before the date quoted.

Dropped items off on 4/17/15. Told would take 6 weeks. Received call around 5/18/15 that items were completed! Done early. Picked up tabletop and leaf on 5/22/14. Was absolutely beautiful!!!! Friendly staff, Quoted accurate price over the phone, was by far the lowest. Workmanship was awesome. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs refinishing done.

You will find cheaper and you will find faster but you will NOT find any better. I can?t recommend OWR highly enough. After ten years of abuse, our once beautiful walnut dining table was dinged and scratched and stained. The leaves were in great shape but having had only the occasional exposure to sunlight were now a completely different color than the table. Thanks to Steve, the table and leaves not only look immaculate, they actually look better than new. The color is now uniform and look more natural than when brand new. Apparently the manufacturer had applied a (subtle) dye to the finish. With this gone, the walnut grain and colors really show through. So, yes, BETTER than new. You will spend an extra few $ and the waiting list is long but it?s worth it if you want it done right. Steve is a total pro and every easy to work with. Very responsive and work was done on time. Even his sub-contracted movers (John at Premier Home Delivery) are first?rate.

Old World was very responsive in providing us a quote for our furniture refinishing. However, when we responded that we would like to proceed with the work 2 months later, their schedule was quite full for the rest of the year, and the lead time was longer for project completion (8 weeks instead of 6 weeks). We still asked Old World to do the work due to the high ratings that they have consistently received. In the end, the work was completed in the 8 weeks, the refinishing they did was unbelievable (it looks brand new now), and they even reinforced some of the structure to give the furniture (mirror attachment) better strength. The cost was high, but the quality of the work was fantastic. Also, their recommended movers (Premier home delivery) were quite good too, moving a very delicate piece of furniture back and forth, although the price was a little high. We were very satisfied with the project overall.

Amazing! A magician with antiques. Most people might have considered my old Knoll cabinets ready for the junk pile, but Steve transformed them into their old glory. I am thrilled, and will bring any and all my antiques to him! :)

Sent a picture of my dressing table and chair. Old World gave me a price the same day. When I took it in I was worried the price would change when they saw the damage. Owner said no problem. He said about five to six weeks. He called in less then six weeks. We were going out of town and i asked if he could hold it. No problem. Then I saw it. Wow, wow, wow is all I could say. How could this be the same thing I dropped off. It was more then I could hope for; fair price, high quality, and on time. I will use again. I can't wait.

I am only sorry we did not take before and after pictures. Steve took two old stained blond 1940's bedroom dressers and transformed them into pieces that you would expect to see on the showroom of a very expensive showroom; recommend absolutely yes!!

We had a number of pieces of old furniture that required refinishing so we could use them again. The work was completed on time and the finished work was fantastic

I cannot be more positive about an experience than I am about using Old World Refinishing. When we arrived at the shop we were greeted by a knowledgable, service oriented employee, who immediately helped us remove the wooden top from our car. He was professional and made the experience very pleasant. The refinished table top was promised to be completed in three weeks. At two weeks, I realized Easter was one week away, so I called the shop to see if it could be finished by Easter. The employee was understanding and the table top was completed a few days early. The table top is absolutely gorgeous! The quality of their work is A+. The whole experience was fabulous.

They did an amazing job. Not only does my bed look great, but while refinishing it, they repaired some areas of the frame at no additional cost. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the work they did. They were also priced better than everywhere else I called.

They did an absolutely beautiful job. It looks as good as it did the day she brought it home. They matched the original finish perfectly. Extremely nice to work with.

I thought this was just an old painted rocker that just felt good to sit in. It had seemed to always be in the family. He removed "a hundred coats of paint", and took the rocker apart to refinish it. It turned out to be a solid oak rocker over 100 years old with wonderful oak grain markings that stained beautifully to our liking. Will definitely have more work done here.

These chairs are probably over 100 years old and very delicate and ornate. I know it was going to take several hours to re-glue these chairs as they are not traditional in construction and have many joints. I am very please by the repairs, as I couldn't tell where it was done. They are now very sturdy and look beautiful.

This 150 year old rocker is stronger than it has ever been! Repairs were seamless done in a timely manner, this guy know what he is doing!!

Chairs were done when promised and looked great. 2 chairs of a set of 4. The other two will be going in shortly!!

The chair was wobbly and now it is tight and solid. We have taken additional wood furniture and have received one back and just received a phone call that my rocking chair that I used when I was 5 years old has been repaired. The service was timely and was less expensive than similar work in Traverse City, MI

The service and quality were wonderful. They came and picked up our items. They were completed as promised and delivered back!
