RUDE and unprofessional.
Description of Work: Very rude. Spoke to him 2 months prior to finish and stain existing hardwoods. Called today to get a quote to install 2 areas not in original quote. Told me "he can't " and hung up on me. RUDE man.

As you mentioned above, I had already given you an estimate a couple months back. When you called, this time, you had requested to have another estimate done in a different area. I asked you very politely, since I had already given you an estimate a while back and you didn’t respond, whether you wanted to do this project with me. Your answer was no, that you had another guy. Then I asked that since you already have somebody else doing the job, why do you want me to come to your hour house, to which your answer was ‘I just need an estimate.’ I asked you once again ‘Why do you want me to come again,’ to which you fell speechless, and I thought you had hung up the phone. You called me back right away and started to yell at me, threatening to put up a bad report on Angie’s List. It is very clear that you did not want to hire me from the beginning – you just wanted to take advantage of my knowledge, and get answers to your questions, which is what you did when we met for your first estimate. Since you did not want to hire me, then that does not give you any right to label me with an ‘F’ rating. Just like customers choose the contractors they’d like to work with, our company tries to do the same – they want to make sure they can build a positive relationship from the start.

Very RUDE customer service
Description of Work: Very unprofessional, when I called a man pickedup the phone without offering any type of company greeting. When I asked for an estimate on installation he told me he couldn't provide one over the phone and that he would need to come to my house to give me a quote. Other vendors have easily provided me quotes over the phone. When I told him I would have to talk to my husband about setting up an appointment he abruptly hung up the phone. I don't plan to use his services just based off of his RUDE phone etiquette. I wouldn"t trust a vendor who can't even have a simple business conversation.

Description of Work: For starters very poor response time. Called early one day didn't get a call for 2 days later. When we did set up an appointment it was for 2 days later, which was fine. When the morning came up I was unable to keep the appointment, I called him 1-1/2 hours before the appt. time. We set up another appt. the next day and again I was not able to keep it. And again I called about an 1-1/2 (one and a half hours) before the appt. time. As I was about to ask if we could set up a time the following week I heard a big clunk, he hung up on me. If he didn't want to set up another appt. he could of just told me, said bye THEN hung-up. The bottom line is that was totally un-called for, very unprofessional and just RUDE!!!!

I was very surprised when I saw the comment you posted here on Angie’s List. My company tried contacting you two days in a row, from the time you posted the comment, and two messages were left. Therefore, I have written here what I wanted to tell you through the phone. From our conversations, I could tell that you weren’t very interested in going forward with the job. Proof in point was you cancelling the appointment twice. From our last conversation, let me clarify, you said you would call me when you would be available for an estimate; I did not hang up on you. One more thing, I checked my phone records and the first time you called me to set up an appointment, I called you back 2 hours later, not 2 days later as you had commented above.

There was not only carpet, but also linoleum stuck down with some nasty black glue on top of the original hardwood floors in our upstairs. Victor did a great job removing the flooring and restoring the original wood floors. For the stairs he replaced the tops and put a facing on the front of the stairs so they would match the wood floors both upstairs and down. We really appreciate his hard work. Another company wouldn't even give us an estimate in restoring the original floors, just replacing them, which would have cost us much more.
Description of Work: Victor removed carpet and linoleum from our upstairs room to access the original hardwood floors. He also refaced the stairs.

We contacted 5 companies from Angie's list regarding our project. Two of them returned our call and estimated the project. Victor came the next day with a portfolio of completed jobs and supplied a detailed, written estimate. His estimate was about 20% less than the other estimate we received and based on the reviews in Angies List, we were confident regarding the quality of his work. He came to our house a second time to choose finishes and schedule the project. We were having a significant portion of our house done and my husband and I arranged to be out of town during the process. So we agreed to meet at 9:00 on Monday morning to give him the keys. Victor and a helper arrived at 8:50 and we were able to take off on schedule. We returned on Friday and were totally overwhelmed by how wonderful the floors looked! We have looked and can't tell where the old floor ends and the new floor begins. The new baseboards look great too! Corners and other odd places were hand-finished. Victor also added finishing trim around the slate fireplace that looks great.
Description of Work: We needed about 50 square feet of slate flooring, 200 square feet of carpet removed, and 50 square feet of parquet and vinyl floor removed. All of the cleared surfaces were replaced by hardwood. Then sand, stain and refinish all of the new wood plus about 1500 square feet of existing, incredibly worn flooring so that it all looks the same. Replace all baseboards.

Very well--Victor's time estimate was precisely right, and the results were far beyond our expectations.
Description of Work: We hired Victor's Hardwood Flooring to refinish the large front room and a back bedroom in our bungalow. The house dates back to 1930, and the well-worn oak floors had never been refinished. The results from Victor's 2 days of (very hard) work were amazing--it looks as though brand new floors were installed, literally. He was prompt, courteous, efficient and painstaking in his work.

Victor did a great job on removing the old vinyl flooring and reinforcing the floor all across the kitchen (from 1971) so the many squeaks were eliminated. He did a great job on the installation of the new floor too. He is extremely careful and neat. Later we hired Victor to do some more flooring and interior painting. And he did a painting job for my mother. He puts a great deal of care and talent into what he does and gives a good value. English is his second language and sometimes exchanges must be repeated to be sure you are on the same page.
Description of Work: Removed old kitchen flooring, prepped floor to remove all squeaks, installed Brazilian cherry hardwood floor.
