Nick and Brian were awesome. They were running a couple minutes behind due to the Polar Vortex weather storm we were currently in but they called me ahead of time saying they were running 15 minutes behind due to the conditions and driving up to my house. The best part was seeing the thermal imaging camera and the pictures and then the follow up shots when the blower motor was running. It was a wonderful great experience and was just great. It totally was insightful and educational. I am really glad that I did it and would highly recommend it to any of my friends and family.

Everything went great! I requested they show up a little early to be sure were were done in time and they were at the house exactly at the time requested. They spent about 3 hours performing all of the testing and checks and went over the results thoroughly at the end offering different packages to fit our budget needs and address the most immediate concerns. By the way the things they found were items that I didn't ever notice on our house and did not include the items my wife and I might have thought were needed (extra insulation or new windows). I would highly recommend them to anyone with a leaky/drafty house to help address your concerns.

Brian and Nick were great and I really appreciated all of the thorough information I received as a result of this audit. I assumed, however, that the audit was informative only but Ecotelligent Homes also provides the services to complete their recommendations. For the home energy saving improvements I am completing in the near future, their price was too high for my budget.

That was excellent. We just moved into the home and it was very valuable for us to get this energy audit. Brian and his colleague answered a lot of questions, they showed me how everything worked, and they walked me thorough everything too. It was a very thorough audit and we got the report onsite. They sent that to my email. Brian was extremely generous with answering follow up questions from my husband. They were just superb. They also gave us a quote if we were going to use them for insulation

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they were very thorough. They are very professional and two people came out to do the work including Amanda, the owner, and Brian.

We were more impressed with EcoTelligent than any company we've ever used for work on our home. They were extremely knowledgeable, timely, polite, friendly, clean, and professional. The energy audit was thorough and really informative. We learned a lot about our house in the process. We never felt we were being sold their products, either. When we had the work done (not all of the work they had suggested, but they gave us tiers of soon, later, one day kind of work), we were blown away. They were meticulous with the work, it was inspected by more than one person, including the owner herself, one of their crew was always here overseeing the job, they made sure everything was done to perfection, and they took pictures inside the walls so we could see exactly what they had done. As part of the process, they had to cut in access doors to one wall of our upstairs space. When their own employee felt he could not match the door to the other wood trim styles, etc. in our house, they hired a contractor to create the doors so they would match perfectly. Simply said, they go above and beyond. Every time they were in our home, they cleaned up perfectly and always wore booties in the house. And not that it can't be done without this, but they were so friendly, allowing our two little boys to see what they were doing. After the work was done, they completed a test-out audit to show us what energy savings could already be seen, included in a report that showed all the before and after photos. We have to say that we do already feel a difference in the draftiness of the house and the warmth across our floor, and the weather is not even that cold yet. We would definitely use EcoTelligent again!

We purchased the Big Deal for a home energy audit for $99.00. Scheduling was easy. Their representatives showed up on time, explained exactly what they would be doing and were very professional. The report they provided was very thorough and broken down into three possible solutions depending on how much we wanted to spend. We haven't had any work done yet but we do know what we need to focus on.

They were helpful, professional, personable, respectful -- they told me what was being done as it happened and gave me a very thorough report with their infrared photographs after the audit was done. Excellent customer service. They did an excellent job and I will have them again to do another energy audit after the needed work is done. It was an especially good deal financially because of the Angie's List Big Deal price.

Brian and Nick were punctual, polite, and extremely neat. They wore protective coverings over their shoes, and left no trace of even having been in our attic (usually there's some insulation on the floor, etc.). They kept us informed during the entire process and explained everything to us as they went over their detailed report at the end. Donna (in the office) was also very pleasant to deal with. We had to reschedule our appointment FOUR times (fifth time was the charm!) because they needed a 10 degree difference between the inside temperature and outside temperature. They were usually booked a few weeks in advance, which meant we didn't know what the weather prediction would be when we scheduled the appointments. We've had such a mild summer that we kept ending up with 72 degree days on the days our appointments were scheduled. Donna was very cheerful and pleasant each time we rescheduled. They gave a detailed recommendation of repairs and if we go through them we can finance the charges with a 7% loan. However, we have not yet decided if we will have them do the repairs. It seems convenient to use them, and the financing adds to the convenience, but from what we can tell the prices seem a bit high (with the exception of the energy audit, which was very reasonably priced), even compared to our favorite contractor who always comes in at the highest price of any other bids. They did, however, just email me to tell me that they are offering a 5% discount for work done in October.

went well. they were professional. They found a gas leak outside. the proposal was considerably higher than I had thought it would be.

The technicians were highly skilled and knowledgeable about this subject. They performed the audit in a professional and thorough manner. After I conducted a tour of the house, they took over and tested all areas for all types of potential energy loss. At the end of the period the supervisor (who was also the owner) presented a fourteen page report which she explained in detail. The report outlined three options to remedy the various problems along with price quotes. I would without hesitation recommend this company to anyone seeking such services.

It wasn't quite what I expected. They did the survey but it seemed it was all done with intent for them to do some extra work at the house.

All went very well. Ecotelligent Homes was very thorough and efficient. They provided a detailed report of problem areas and made a number of suggestions of things my daughter could do to make her home more energy efficient.

Unlike other reviewers, I didn't even know Ecotelligent had a Big Deal going--I found them through email promotions from Consumers Energy. I was initially interested in having an energy audit (and potentially the insulation work) done this year because both the CE rebates and the federal tax credits are set to expire at the end of 2013. They came out in mid-July and Brian was my main point of contact throughout both procedures but Amanda (the owner) and Nick also came out during the initial audit and follow-up visits. My experience was not as smooth as that of other reviewers but it was through no fault of Ecotelligent. Part of their initial inspection involves a health and safety check and they discovered 3 small gas leaks in the basement, which unfortunately put a stop to the inspection until the problem was rectified. (They also found issues with animals in the attic.) Fixing these problems added expense but I'm grateful that they were found and dealt with. After fixing the initial issues the same team came back a couple of weeks later and, as others have said, the audit process was very thorough and involved checking the attic and basement (rim joists) for air infiltration/exfiltration via blower door and thermal scanning. They are highly trained (advanced engineering and construction management degrees) and very patiently answered my numerous questions. They presented a list of 3 recommendations: 1) spray foam in the basement rim joists only; 2) foam in the rim joists plus the attic; and 3) option 2 plus replacing the furnace (which is 15+ years old). Their presentation was very low-key and relaxed. I could mix and match any of the options and there was no hard sell at all. I thought it over for about a week and decided on option 2. The insulation job (subcontracted out) was scheduled to occur over 2 days but on the second day there was an equipment malfunction and they had to stop in the middle of the job. Brian called me right away in the early afternoon, explained the situation and even offered to put me up in a hotel because the house would not have time to air out. I initially declined because I didn't think it would be a big deal but when I got home the fumes were still very strong, so I called him back and asked if I could reconsider. He said it wouldn't be a problem. I booked a hotel (for which I was reimbursed) for that night and the crew came back and finished the job the next day. Overall I couldn't be happier with the work they did. They were highly professional, tidy, and very conscientious of the house being my personal space, often asking for permission to enter areas. Because the job took additional time, they discounted the final price via the hotel reimbursement. They were always open to all sorts of questions--they felt like a knowledgeable relative who gave me thorough answers, was never impatient with me, and never pressured me. Highly recommended.

The audit went very well and I thought it was quite thorough. Everything was explained to me every step of the way and suggestions for improvement were given.

Amanda, the owner, and her team conducted a full home energy audit following a free review by Consumers Energy. The $200 audit identified areas for improvement $4000, which I contracted directly through Ecotelligent. That was optional, but I decided to do one stop shopping. They identified easy improvements I could myself and scheduled the installation of the additional insulation, sealing, baffles, ... by their team. They do a before and an after measure of your home's energy efficiency. As a result of the improvements, I will get a significant rebate from Consumers Energy and expect an additional energy credit at tax time. It was pricey, but I am glad I had the work done. Very professional team. Arrived on time and they cleaned up their work areas. Also provided a detailed analysis with thermal images and photos of the before and after improvements.

It was just the price of the big deal. They were great. They were very polite and very efficient. They seemed very knowledgeable. I would them again.

Amanda, the owner, and Nick arrived promptly at 9am. They sat and gave me details on what they were going to do and asked for my concerns or questions. They reviewed my utility bills, examined all appliances, furnace, air conditioner and water heater. They inspected my insulation throughout the house and proceede to do a substantial amount of thermal images around the house. They performed a blow test to test all windows for air leaks. As suspected, my doorwalls leaked considerably. Amanda provided a comprehensive and thorough report on all the services they performed. In addition, she provided a written summary of the problems with the doorwall that I can give to the owner of the company so I can negotiate a refund. Amanda also gave me copies of all the thermal images of my home on a flash drive. I was very impressed and completely satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them!

We used Ecotelligent Homes because of a Big Deal we purchased from Angie's List. We were a little apprehansive that they would try to hard sell us a bunch of services and upgrades based on our audit. While they did give us a list of actions we could take (and that they could perform) to help increase the efficiency of our home, they did not push us to make any sort of committment. They went over the areas of our house that needed work, gave us estimates for how much it would cost, and went over the available rebates. They placed a follow-up phone call a few weeks after the audit but have not continued to press us to get any work done. We do plan on having them out to make some improvements based on our audit in the future.

Amanda performed the energy audit. It's very interesting to see where air gets in and out of your house. Amanda was very efficient, and explained everything she was doing clearly as she went along. They give you a report explaining where you are losing energy, with recommendations of how you should rectify problem areas. They also do the insulation services etc, but do not try to hard sell you anything.

They were both very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I felt comfortable with them in my home from the first moment. I really didn't feel intruded upon and they wore protection over their shoes! They were quite sweet with our senior dog who wanted to know what was going on and poked around while they... poked around. Amanda walked me around and showed me some of the more problematic areas with the heat loss using the camera - amazing and alarming! When they left, there was no evidence they'd come and gone - nothing tracked from the attic. As I said above, the pricing for correcting the issues were on par with what we expected. Amanda made sure to show us what local and federal loans and rebates were available for getting our home up to snuff. The problem is the upfront part - we want to act, but the money isn't quite there at the moment. I hope that we can move forward sooner rather than later. We've been in our home for more than 15 years and none of this stuff has been addressed until now. I highly recommend them for the services that we had. We were fortunate to have caught an offer from them on Groupon.
