The project was an overall success. Carl and his team worked very hard to get us what we wanted. Carl asked a lot of questions while creating the estimate and throughout the whole project making sure we got what we wanted and were satisfied with the decisions made. We appreciated this constant communication as we felt like we were fully involved in the project from begining to end. We ran into some issues as to be expected with the scope of work and the age of the home, but Carl helped us work through them without much delay to the project. He helped make sure inspections were completed timely and handled all the communication with the inspector. He also assisted with coordinating and hiring an electrician for the wiring on the enclosed porch. in the end even with all the changes and add ons, Carl and I settled out at the original quoted amount. I would highly recommend Carl. His attention to detail, quality of work and good communication makes him a great contractor you can trust.

Carl did a fantastic job finishing our basement. His knowledge, attention to detail and availability made our project go very smoothly. He started the project when agreed upon, then worked throughout to finish. I would definitely recommend using his services.

Carl is friendly, accommodating, professional, and talented. He always called me back promptly, and worked around my schedule. In fact, because of a mistake on my part, the cubbie had to be finished another day, and Carl came back (free of charge!) to complete the work despite his busy schedule. The cubbie looks amazing, and the quality of work is notable. VERY highly recommend.

Carl was consistently friendly and energetic. He did a nice job lining out expectations and putting us in touch with viable subcontractors. In the cases where we went with our own subcontractor, Carl remained professional, friendly, and flexible in working with the team. Carl was good with communicating, and did a great job with the carpentry work. He offered suggestions for improving our renovated space: including installing a hanging barn door, which he himself crafted, and putting custom shelving in one of our closets. In the case of the custom shelving, Carl was very flexible in working with, and delivering, our vision for the shelving. We love the results. The framing work was completed professionally, and we were very happy with the drywall work and painting. We love our "new" basement and look forward to enjoying the additional square footage that the fine work has allotted our family. I recommend Carl to anyone who is interested in renovating their basement area. I will also keep him in mind for future projects that we may want to pursue at our home.

He was supposed to contact a coworker. He never contacted me again.I would have appreciated it if he had said he wasn't interested in doing the job.

We own an older home and are replacing the carpet on the second floor. We decided to try and fix our creaky floors before buying new carpet. Carl and Pete came to our house to screw down the creaky floors and the stairs leading to the first floor. We discovered that the staircase had not been built properly and was held together by nails on the sides. They replaced the treads and fixed the staircase and now it's very quiet and a lot safer. Carl and Pete did a great job and arrived on time. They cleaned up after they were done. We would hire them again.

Carl fit me into his busy schedule as quickly as he could, though it felt like a long wait for me. He seemed very professional. I went with a different contractor on that job, but would consider using him in the future.

Men were professional. They listened to our wishes, apprised us of different ideas, and worked until job was done on a timely basis

I met with Carl in the spring to compete the mantle and it was just done now but good things are worth the wait. We could not be more pleased with the mantle. Other tradesman we have had in the home have appreciated the craftsmanship. The project was completed in one day. Carl and another carpenter Pete listened to my design and were wonderful to collaborate with. I would welcome the opportunity to work with them on another project.

It went extremely well. Carl was very responsive to our initial request for a quote and provided more detail than many other companies we contacted. He was patient to answer all of my questions and provided a detailed bill of materials and quote from the lumber company. The work was scheduled in the time frame he said it would be and completed more quickly than we expected. Haul away of the old debris was thorough and clean up from the project was impeccable. Carl's work is of the highest quality, and the new deck looks great! I would not hesitate to use him again for another project.

Carl did a great job from start to finish. We had 6 contractors come out. Carl had one of the best prices and it was obvious he knew what he was doing. You are not going to get glossy brochures and sales men selling you a deck. He is on site and does most of the work. Very accomidating to minor changes. Carl dealt with all permits and city departments. Home owner ship would be great if all contractors did this kind of work and had this level of integrity and honesty. Nothing bad to say.

Eliminated sag and re-anchored the deck. Replaced broken fasteners on ledger board.

I have decided to go with a concrete patio instead of a deck, but if I had decided on a deck he would be a top choice.

Carl always contacted me to let me know scheduling issues (if any). They came out on time, worked until it was completed and did a fantastic job! Better than expected. Will definitely be calling him again if needed.

He was very efficient, prompt, and did high quality work. He always cleaned up the work area before leaving. He was always right on task and did outstanding work in a quick time frame. Most contractors we called wouldn?t come out to do the work because it was a small job, but he came out because we needed help and did wonderful.

Carl and Pete were prompt, professional and extremely competent, correcting our deck issues in less time than originally estimated. Price was reasonable, and both worked straight through without a break until the job was done. My price was quoted 'by the hour' but I received a great job at a reasonable price for the work completed. Carl is very down to earth. He would be comfortable giving you a verbal estimate, and a verbal invoice...reminds me of the 'old school' HONEST way businesses used to be run. I would hire Carl again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him to others.

Great, except where he needed to remove the ceramic tile on the baseboard. He did not re attach the tiles to the wall.

Carl responded to my request for quote promptly, he provided a list of material and an invoice from the Lumber yard and a separate quote for labor. Additional cost included digging post holes and permit. Once he was ready to start I contacted Miss dig and had the utilities marked and the next day he marked off the location for the post holes and the holes were dug the same day. Carl's crew started construction the next day and completed the deck within the next 3 days. Clean up was completed at the end of the job. Carl's crew did excellent work and we are happy with the results.

This was an excellent job and experience. He was easy to work with, honest, and a good worker. He was punctual and answered every phone call and question that I had. I was very pleased and would recommend him.

Carl did an excellent job. He was prompt to return calls, performed the work on schedule and was very thorough in clean up. His work was very high quality and very professional in follow up. I would certainly work with Carl again on my next project and recommend him to others.

The process for the most part went very smooth. Prior to construction, communication was delivered primarily through email. Once the construction began, Carl updated me accordingly with phone calls of the process and even gave suggestions on areas where we could save some money along the way. Carl and his team were trustworthy and reliable. They even allowed my 6 year old daughter to help out with the construction and now she is letting everyone know that she helped build it. Everything went according to plan and we could not be happier with the end result. I would recommend Carl to anyone in the market looking for a quality deck builder!

Carl Zatsick was professional and very good in all aspects of workmanship. All of my neighbors were very complimentary about the quality of the deck. During the course of the job, Carl was not happy with some of the cedar decking and called the lumber company to exchange some of the material to meet his standards. When the gravel company came to deliver the material for the ground of the deck, Carl noticed that it did not comply with requirements, so he sent it back and obtained the right material to meet specifications. He was timely for all appointments and kept me informed at all times of the status of the project. He handled the permit with the city, made necessary adjustments during the construction, and complied with all of the condo associations requirements (which were not easy). Carl was a pleasure to work with.

It was a great experience working with Carl. He was very hands-on, professional, responded promptly to emails, and did an awesome job building stairs to my deck. It's a busy time for deck builders and he initially didn't think he could get to the job right away. He ended up having a break in his schedule, contacted me, and got my deck done in a day. I couldn't be happier with the end results. I will definitely use Carl for future carpentry jobs and highly recommend him to others.

Colleague had the right tools, materials and knew how to use them. The job looked even better than the original construction of the home builder.
