ALERT HOME INSPECTION INC

We asked for a home inspection report, and that’s what we got. They met our expectations. They were prompt, and professional. Their rates were fair. I would use them again.

I'm located in a different state than the home being inspected and wasn't in attendance during the inspection, but a trusted surrogate was. Spoke with Mr. Weine who is extremely knowledgeable and told me specifically what his home inspection would be. The co-owner, Allen, did the actual inspection. According to my surrogate, he arrived early and inspected the duplex from attic to basement, exterior and interior, front and back, all along, going over what he saw with my surrogate and writing it down in the report. The report was given to my surrogate who mailed it to me. I went over it and spoke with Allen two 1/2 weeks later. I went over a few things I highlighted for clarification with him, and he explained them to me. Even giving me a guestimation of cost to repair, and which jobs to tackle first. The price, I thought, was a bit high but the professionalism and knowledge possessed by the two were worth the price.

He was on time, came in with his book, and went through each room very methodically. We sat down, and we went through everything starting with the furnace and going step by step. He advised me to get a new water heater. He was a good teacher, showing me things like how to shut off the water.

IT WAS A BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE FOR US. THEY INSPECTED THE BASEMENT FIRST TO CHECK THE SUPPORT BEAMS. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THEY WERE VERY THOROUGH; INSPECTING THE ENTIRE HOME AND INFORMING US OF THE MINOR REPAIRS THAT WERE NEEDED.

I THINK THAT THE REPRESENTATIVE I DEALT WITH WAS SUPER. I KNOW THAT THE SYSTEM WORKS BECAUSE WE HAVE SET IT OFF THREE TIMES ON ACCIDENT. I DO KNOW THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIVE. WE HAVE ADJUSTED THE BUTTONS TO MAKE THEM NOT SO SENSITIVE.
