21st Century Windows

Let me start by telling you that I did extensive research before I made the best decision of going with 21st Century Windows. I took the day off from work and scheduled 6 different window companies to meet with and go over our options, pricing, quality etc... 4 of the 6 used every sales tactic in the book and gave me the "If you sign today, we'll give you an extra 8% off" but I'll honor it if you call me tomorrow. 1 company didn't seem to know much about his product and the last but not least company, Cody from 21st Century Windows was PROFESSIONAL, HONEST, PERSONABLE, and the guy even sat in his car and waited 30 minutes past our appointment while I finished up with the Pella representative. Even though my meeting with Cody was interrupted by 30 minutes and he had to face the awkward feeling of crossing paths with reps from another window company, he came in and took his time explaining EVERYTHING and answering all of my questions. 21st Century Windows is a dealer for some of the brands that I was looking at, including Pella, Renewal by Anderson and Sunrise Windows. He spoke very highly of Sunrise Windows and went over the pros and cons. There weren't any cons when compared to the other brands. You can not beat the quality and value that you get with Sunrise Windows. Trust me, I've done my research and I am very detailed when it comes to making a large purchase like this. I thanked Cody for his time and told him that I would be in touch in a few days, which is what I told every other company that came out that day. I spent the next several days comparing numbers, options, quality, warranty, reviews etc and no one even came close to what 21st Century Windows offering. On top of that, 21st Century offered a lifetime warranty on the product and installation. None of the other companies offered that, which I thought was great! Several days later, I called Cody to award him the project. He came out the next day to take exact measurements and to sign the agreement. He told me that the door and windows would be arrive in about 4 weeks and he would call me to schedule the install. Without a doubt, he was right on schedule. 4 weeks later, Cody, Fred and his team arrived at 9am to complete the install. Every installer came in to our home, introduced themselves and was very professional and courteous. The mapped out the home and began their work. Fortunately, they didn't run into any issues and the installation was a breeze. They were very clean and vacuumed any excess debris in every room. Each installer was more meticulous than the next when it came to perfecting the each window, the caulk and finished product. At the end of the day, we all just want to receive what we pay for. We want to know that we made the right decision when spending our hard earned money. I can honestly say without any hesitation, that using 21st Century Windows was one of the best decisions I've made thus far when making home improvements. I wish that all of the companies that I hired and hire are this honest and have the same work ethic. If you're in the market for a new door wall or windows, don't waste your time calling other companies. Unless you just want to compare and have piece of mind. At the end of the day, you'll end up using 21st Century Windows. I hope that this review was helpful.

Mark and his team are great! Several things I really like: 1. Mark and his team are always on time---this is really impressive; 2. The windows installation crew are professional, taking care of the details, great teamwork, finish the job with high quality and great efficiency; 3. The communication is really smooth. Definitely I will recommend this company to my friends :)

Installation went smoothly and they did a great job. Customer service was good too.

Great!. Especially many of the contractor clean after work location and around the house, but it is not good enough (means still dirty), but they did great cleaning at everywhere. Also each worker is very professional and knowledgeable for windows. door and other home improvements.

The installation went well as they came around 8:00 AM and finished by 1:00 PM. The new windows are major upgrade. We notice no air or water leaks and much better sound insulation. The only minor problem was that the wrong color for the screen came on the patio door. The correct screen should be installed within a week.

We needed to replace the original, wooden windows in our house, and began researching various window designs and manufacturers. We knew we didn’t want to deal with a couple of companies that had a reputation for high pressure sale tactics, so we joined Angie’s List to help us find a local company with an excellent ranking. As soon as we read the reviews for 21st Century Window Replacement and saw that they represented several window manufacturers, we gave them a call. Cody, the office and project manager, answered the phone and spent a considerable amount of time explaining options and answering our questions. We made an appointment for a couple of days later for Cody to come to our house and show us samples of the three manufacturers we were interested in. In turn, we showed him pictures of the designs we liked. We decided on Sunrise, a Michigan company with a lifetime warranty and great price, and we were given a quote right on the spot; we signed a contract, and he took measurements before he left – almost 3 hours later! The next day, he brought the owner, Mark, back to our house to re-measure everything. The windows were made and delivered much earlier than anticipated. The installation crew was excellent – on time, polite, and very efficient. The trim work exceeded our expectations, and we just love the looks of our new windows. Cody was there at the beginning of the day to show the crew where everything went and what needed to be done, and returned at the end of the day to show us how each window worked, how to remove the screens, etc. We would highly recommend 21st Century Window Replacement!

Mark and his team did an excellent job. A couple issues with windows that weren't ordered correctly but issue was rectified as quickly as possible. Installation crew did a great job.

They did a beautiful job. The windows look great. Mark (the owner) actually had a framing crew out to do our windows which turned out to be a bonus for us because we found severe damage in one of our bedrooms from a leak. The crew replaced the king stud, jack stud, cripple studs and sill plate, plus some of the subfloor to repair the damage. He did it at cost for us. No mark up. The overall cost of the project was significantly less than many of the major competitors. Mark is easy to reach, but sometimes takes a while to get back with you. His company's workmanship is worth the wait though. I would definitely recommend 21st Century Windows

The gentlemen who came to our house seemed very confused and unprepared as to the nature of his visit. I told him repeatedly that I was interested in adding a window and bathtub in the master bathroom and that we would be willing to move a wall for added space, if needed. I asked him if this was possible and if he could provide us with 3D renderings, as stated in their advertisement. He never really directly answered my questions; kept asking unrelated questions such as "would you be interested in a heated towel rack?", "would you be interested in changing the colors?", and finally "what kind of tub would you like?". I informed him that my main focus was whether or not a bathtub would fit into the space and mainly if he could move the wall, and that I could not answer any other design questions until I knew if that was possible. I told him that I was okay with any freestanding soaking tub, EXCEPT the clawfoot tub. I kept asking him if he thought it was possible to move the wall to increase the size of the bathroom. He never would answer, only finally said that it could cost a lot of money, and basically insinuated that we couldn't afford it without even knowing our budget. It felt like he wasn't interested in doing the work, as if he pre-judged us without knowing anything about us. Our house is large, we live in a good neighborhood, nothing about us says that we could not afford the work that we paid him to provide an estimate for. I kept asking about the design so he finally pulled out a small piece of paper and started drawing lines on it. I was totally done with him at that point, nothing more needed to be discussed. However, a few weeks later I did receive an email with a very bad/cartoonish bathroom design. It did not reflect the wall being moved or additional space. The design was very bad as if they just cut and paste sinks, toilet, shower, and bathtub (NOTHING else) and put them into a square frame, and the tub was a clawfoot tub. It was very comical to say the least. I appreciate the company's quick response, however, I will not use them for any projects.

We had a great experience working with Mark and his team at 21st Century. The benefits of using a smaller company were immediately obvious with them. They were much more pleasant to discuss our needs during the initial visit, and even came back with the owner to show me their benefits and why I should choose them over the competition. It was the right decision in the end. The entire process needed minimal effort on my part, as they went above and beyond to prepare everything. Most importantly, they were willing to register with the Michigan Saves program, which provides loans at good rates for energy efficient home projects. This was not something they had to do, but the fact they were willing to go through the whole process to register as an approved vendor, even paying a fee and attending classes, was a great example of how far they were willing to go to work with me. I definitely recommend looking into this program, and consider them as your contractor for your next project. After that was set up, the actual install went completely smoothly, even given the snowy weather that day. They showed up on time, set up everything to protect inside and outside our house, and the entire crew worked very efficiently to remove our windows and install the new ones. You can tell they have a lot of experience, given how well they did everything, without needing any repairs, and in the end, they were finished out so well you couldn't tell they weren't original to the house. The quality of the window brand is also a huge plus over some other companies, and the lifetime warranty for all parts and labor is something they can offer and stand behind. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone having windows replaced, or any other major project they handle. A great staff to work with, who really showed a desire to have my business. And what they were able to provide to go above and beyond other companies sets them apart and makes the value of their work far exceed the competition.

We found 21st Century Windows Replacement on Angie’s List and decided to give them a call after having three other companies come to our house. I was surprised that Mark, the owner of the company, answered the phone. Not only was he pleasant to talk to, you could instantly tell he cared and wasn’t about getting my business. He let us know that they could come out later that night to take a look at our windows instead of a week down the road. This is the part of the story where we met Cody, the office manager. Cody was on time, charming, nice and was genuinely a good person. We felt instantly good about him. Cody walked around our house, looked at the windows, measured and gave us a crash course about the windows until we felt comfortable with the lingo and terminology. We decided on using Sunrise Windows. 21st Century Windows Replacement has a lifetime installation warranty (completely different and better than a guarantee) and Sunrise Windows has a lifetime window warranty. Cody made us feel comfortable and never once pressured us. He was an absolute wonderful person to deal with. When we got our price quote, it was close to the same price as the other companies that came to our house. I liked that it was the same price without any deals or breaks for signing the contract the first day. The other companies kept offering us their “best deal” and “discounts” that totaled the original quote from Mark & Cody. I don’t like to make rash decisions or feel pressured into a sale and I appreciate more than Cody could know that he gave me time to think about them and didn’t try to force a sale. The other obvious differences being that they are better windows, comes with a lifetime warranty and most importantly, better people. Mark and Cody came back to the house once we decided to go with 21st Century Windows Replacement to measure again every window so that there weren’t any mistakes on the install. The installation was as simple as drinking a cup of coffee on my couch and watching TV. They placed tarps down throughout our house because of the rain and mud. The people who came to my house were nice, professional and quick. Cody was there to make sure the operation went smoothly and caulked all of my windows in my house just as a nice addition. They were impressive. I couldn’t put into words how pleased we are. I never felt such a relief, comfortability and ease with any company like them before. I felt like I was family. Cody and Mark are indeed rare breeds because of how amazing they were to work with and as people. How many companies have an owner answer the phones and have an office manager help in the operation of installation? I would highly recommend them to everyone. Mark and Cody were great to work with and their installation crew was amazing! I had several quotes from window replacement companies and decided to go with 21st Century due to their knowledge and dedication to customer service and detail. The crew they use is very experienced and they took their time with our installation which reassured me the job was done right. We're very please with our new windows and would recommend 21st century windows to anyone looking for new windows.

We gathered 5 quotes from area window companies, including a large, well known competitor and 4 smaller local dealers. Of the five, 21st Century offered us the best combination of window quality, customer service, price and peace of mind. Once we placed our order, it was less than a month before our windows had arrived at 21st Century's office, and we were able to schedule installation. Cody, our salesperson and project manager, was great with scheduling everything and making sure that we were happy. He held our hands through the entire process, which was great to have for such a large, expensive purchase. We thought that the installation would take two days, but it ended up lasting four. The installers appear to have done good work, but it was inconvenient to not have use of our garage or one of our cars for 4 days. It would have been ideal to at least be told we needed to get the car out if we wanted to use it. The windows look beautiful, and they're what we expected when we ordered them. Cody did a great job making sure the details like caulking and cleaning were completed to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend 21st Century Windows to anyone looking to replace their windows in southeast Michigan.

I needed repairs done on my siding after windy weather past through my area. I called 21st Century who had installed the siding and asked if they could come out, within two days Mark the owner of the company was at my house to do the repairs. It's been 12 years since I had the siding installed and was treated as though I was a new customer. I'm so pleased that I choose 21st Century for all the updates I had them do in my home.

GREAT WINDOWS - I'm extremely happy with the Sunrise replacement windows purchased from 21st Windows. Replaced 7 old windows with new Sunrise windows for $5500. great price - great windows. Working with Cody and Mark was a pleasure. the installation was great - went very smoothly with no issues. Very courteous guys. Picked up everything and were done in 4 hours! These windows look great - open and close perfectly. The outside trim also looks great. Lots of insulation added. After the installation was done Cody returned and filled every small hole and crack in the brick around the entire house at no charge. I couldn't be happier with the entire process. Start to finish was less than 30 days. Sunrise has the best warranty in the market! I HIGHLY RECOMEND 21ST CENTURY SUNRISE WINDOWS.

I am very happy with the results. Replaced 10 wooden windows with Sunrise Replacement windows and one Oxbow triple pane casement window. The installation was excellent. The windows look great and operate perfectly. Outside, the brick molds have been clad with aluminum and also look perfect. During installation any open space around the windows was filled with foam. Some boards had to be replaced around the windows and Cory came back to paint them. Mark and Cory came back checked for any cracks in the masonry around the house and caulked them. We have decided to have them replace the rest of the windows in the house

I had Mark with 21st Century Window come out after my neighbor referred his company. He came out and showed me issues with my existing windows and recommend that I replace all of the windows in my house with an energy efficient and affordable vinyl window made in Michigan called Sunrise Windows. I was very pleased with the installed Doron he was nice and professional. Cody came out and helped register my window warranty and helped me fill out my consumer rebate to receive credits before the end of the year, he was wonderful! Everything went great and I highly recommend Mark and Cody, they always answer their phones and were here when I needed them to be.

Fantastic! I had originally planned on using a company that I had used in the past, but there was an issue so I called 21st Century and talked to Mark & Cody. They came out right away and explained the type of windows they use (and I loved it because they're made in Michigan). With the heat that we've had this summer, I can tell a real difference with the new windows. They measured, quoted the price and gave me an approximate install date and as it turns out they came in and were installed earlier than expected. The best part is, the previous company recommended a complete tear-out and of course that cost more, but Mark and his installer Fred, came back out and looked at every single window and told me there really was no need to pay extra for a complete tear out!!. By following their recommendation, I was able to almost completely pay for the bay window replacement in my kitchen with the money I saved!!. Their install crew was polite, personable, efficient, clean and absolutely fantastic. They worked non-stop until the whole job was completed. I couldn't be happier! I would HIGHLY recommend them.

We are old customers and have worked with Mark before for window replacement. Same as last time, we are very happy with the price, the quality of the windows, and the work Mark's crew have done. I feel very lucky to have 21 Century Window to work on our windows and they are truly best window company.

Most of the vertical siding on my chimney chase was dry rotted. Mark explained to me that the boards had not been pre primed by the builder and that if his company did the work they would make sure it was done properly. I supplied matching paint and they handles the rest. My chimney looks like new again.

Very happy with the Sunrise vinyl windows 21st Century installed. Quality product and install at a great price. They were able to install the new windows while leaving my current interior trim intact.

21st century does fast quality work and uses quality materials. The owner of the company even put the shingle samples on the roof. Mark is always responsive to calls and emails and checks in regularly.
