Mark is a class act. He makes sure you are comfortable every step of the way. His price is very fair and he will be honest about everything at every step. He makes sure you are satisfied with the job and goes above and beyond to make sure that that happens. He sells a quality product (block and tackle balance system, excellent hardware, warm edge spacer, virgin vinyl fusion welded foam filled frame, great air infiltration, u factor, and shgc ratings, etc) at a great price with great installation and service to go along. As you can see by his positive reviews, many have shared a similar experience and that is why I went with him and his reputation held true. He isn't just a window installer but a person that will make a human connection with you. It was great to have him in my home. I look forward to using him again on any future work that comes up. A big thanks to Mark and Sunrise windows! The home looks like a million bucks and is warmer because of yall. p.s.I did a deep dive on his negative reviews even though the overwhelming majority were positive to see what the negatives were about. On first glace, seeing D's was startling. However, as you can see for yourself, as I looked further they are all basically from people who didn't get any work done and had problems with getting quotes or follow ups in time. I definitely can understand it's hard to get back with everyone but I felt more assured that for those that he DOES work for, rarely have anything bad to say. I just wanted to add that because the negative reviews in this respect are misleading in a way. Best of luck

They were timely. The owner came out personally. They cleaned up, did excellent work and even went above and beyond by helping us put on a shutter and even promised to come back to re-screen the windows at no extra cost.

Cody is a fantastic company owner, who did what he said, was on time and a pleasure to work with! His install lead Tom was a total professional! I would work with them again for sure.

Overall very satisfied with the entire process from start to finish. The owner,Mark, was prompt in returning my initial phone call for a quote. He was at my home within a few days. He was extremely patient and professional describing in detail the products his company offered. We agreed on a price and used the coupon from Angie's list, which brought the price down to within my budget.The installation process was smooth. They were prompt and the owner was onsite as promised. The installer was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The project was completed on time. The owner even had to make two trips for necessary parts to keep the installer onsite without having to stop. Overall excellent experience. I would highly recommend them..

The person who came out did not bring a sample window. He talked a lot and pushed one brand of window even though they advertise that they install multiple brands. It's been two weeks and we haven't heard back from them for a follow up appointment which they said they would do. We have moved on with another company to do our windows. I wouldn't recommend hiring them.

Beware of hiring MARK TEUFEL of Farmington Hills, MI (21st Century Window / Home Restoration). This review is about his BAD WORKMANSHIP AND A BREACH OF CONTRACT. April 2014: Our roof was damaged by hail, and he came to put a new roof on that summer. March 2015: first leaks in the kitchen, living room and upstairs bedroom. Mark came to “fix” it and blamed ice dams. He actually just repainted the drywall and injected insulation over one part of the roof (which now we believe that it actually plugged up one of the soffit vents and prevented proper air flow). We naively believed that everything was fixed because we trusted Mark. January 2018: we noticed leaks in the exact same areas that were supposed to have been fixed by Mark. These leaks ruined the previous paint job and now need a repeat paint job. Upon inspecting the attic, we found dripping nails, soaked particleboard, and ruined insulation from rust and wetness. All of this damage should not have been there if Mark properly fixed the roof in the first place. Mark blamed insufficient insulation and wrongly installed baffles, but why didn’t he say anything about that when he first put the new roof on in 2014? When we asked him this question in January, he said he was not required to fix any insulation or baffles as per the insurance moneys. We found this strange, especially since a professional roofer wouldn’t let something important like that affect his final product. (Another roofer later mentioned that it was Mark’s responsibility as per code to tell the homeowner if there were any concerns regarding insulation or baffles.) It is also important to note that Mark and his employees were the only people in the attic since he put the new roof on. His quick fix for this time was to cover the ridge vent with a green plastic tarp that we had in the garage. At this point, we started thinking something was strange (especially since the tarp would close off any ventilation and possibly cause mold), so we called other roofing companies to take a look. All 4 companies we had over agreed that Mark’s work was done poorly while cutting corners, including the following: -One area of siding was completely missing on the roof. -Missing flashing around chimney. -Missing flashing between house and roof peaks allowed bats/mice to settle inside. -Garage ridge vent was peeling off due to nails not being of proper length. -Breach of contract: our insurance moneys included replaced gutters, sky lights and other things. Mark’s roofing quote amount was exactly the same as the insurance quote, but his contract didn’t specify that he was to replace those things. We believe he expected us to not understand the insurance documents. We also believe he overstated the cost of replacing the roof in order to match the moneys that the insurance company was offering, and scamming us of items that should have been fixed. This is all unacceptable since he was paid to fix the roof with insurance moneys; instead, we got more damages to deal with. We took him to small claims court, and were told in court by his attorney that our only choices are to go to mediation or to district court. We decided neither because it won’t be worth all the money and stress to hire expensive attorneys, and instead chose to write our experience online. Buyer beware; you MUST do your research and get informed about the services you are hiring people for! We lost so much money on this, and just hope that our lesson can help others. He takes your money and isn’t honest to admit the error in his work. He talks a lot and doesn’t listen. He is not to be trusted to get the job done properly.

It was a pleasure working with 21st Century Window Replacement from the time Cody first walked in the door to show me the windows until the time the installation was complete. I chose 21st Century as the window appeared to be of better quality than other windows I had looked at previously, and it was more cost efficient with a faster installation time frame as well. I had just finished renovating my entire home in Royal Oak and had hoped to save the huge picture window in the front of the house. When it became apparent that wasn't possible, I called the usual suspects, but was referred to 21st Century by a friend. Once I spoke with Cody, there was no question who I would use. He delivered on everything he promised, and the installers, Tom and Sebastian, called the night prior to confirm and then showed up about 30 minutes early the following morning. They did a great job inside and out, left my house clean, and were a pleasure to speak with as well. I'd have them in my home anytime. The overall window is approximately 9' X 7' including the center picture window and the two side sliders, and really finished off my entire renovation on a high note. Well done to Cody and his awesome team!

From start to finish, I couldn't ask for a better experience working with Mark.

Overall the job was well done and at a fair a price. All the corners were meticulously mitered and matched using aluminum. The siding was vinyl that looked like cedar shakes which required more attention to detail when matching panels. New gutters were created and hung using sturdy anchors. The job took several days to complete, but overall I'm very happy with the craftsmanship. Looks like a brand new house!

I had to make repeated calls. They did not follow through, seemed to be scattered and lacked focus. Talked my ear off with all of the things he was going to do to help us. Made promises failed repeatedly to follow up. He seemed more interested in maintaining a great angie's list rating than providing service. We ended up with another vendor, this was a big job and paid over $20,000. It was their loss but I am sorry I wasted my time with this guy. This was my first angie's list referral land it may be my last. It appears that some of your service providers know how to game the system to achieve top ratings.

21st Century Windows just installed a 9’ doorwall at our home, and we are very pleased with the results. Mark was very helpful and informative during the initial quotation process, and the cost was competitive. Tom performed the installation, was very professional and extremely detailed. We did notice some small scratches on the frame and handle after the install, and Mark came back promptly to exchange the handle and buff out the scratches. We highly recommend 21st Century.

Great. Mark the owner, came down himself and did the job within a week of initiating the call, as his crew was busy with other projects. We wanted our project to be done and he was very courteous and professional to fulfill our needs in a timely manner, eventhough it is a very small project. I definitely would go with Mark's company again and would recommend to my neighbourhood.

Everything from sales (with Cody), to installation by the team went great. The door wall is much nicer than the double doors that were originally installed.

It went extremely well. It was the holiday weekend (New Years) and I was unable to get anyone on the phone to help us out, let alone come out to help my mom. Luckily, when I called 21st Century, the owner, Mark Teufel answered the phone. I was very upset when I called because I was worried about my mom (who has mobility and heart issues) being in an apartment that had a broken window in the extremely cold weather. Mark was so wonderful. I don’t even know if he was working that day but he felt bad for my mom and for me and said he would go right over to deal with the problem. I live more than an hour away, so I wasn’t there yet when Mark got there. He was wonderful to my mom and was able to seal off the broken window in the bedroom. When I got there, everything looked good. I was very relieved to know that my mom would be comfortable in her apartment over the long holiday weekend. A replacement window had to be ordered because it’s custom window. I can’t tell you how impressed I was with Mark’s professionalism and his compassion for the elderly. It went very well. The team that works for Mark were very polite, punctual, and cleaned up after they were done. They replaced 19 very large windows and a large patio doorwall. Their caulking and workmanship is beautiful. Mark was in constant contact with us every step of the way. I would highly recommend 21st Century window replacement. Our old widows let so much air in the house that I had to leave the shades pulled all winter. We had many estimates and some were ridiculously expensive. We are very happy with the new windows and at a much more affordable price, and no more cold air coming in. Thanks Mark and Team Stephanie

Overall a nightmare. Miss match trim, super sloppy caulk, smoked in home, scratched up metal, scratched windows. Do yourselves a favor a choose a different company. Mark the owner knew how unsatisfied we were, we made it clear over and over, he refused to take any $ off...his answer I just really want to get paid. We paid him in full $9k just to get him out of our home. The pictures posted are after his so called "making it right" Would never refer to anyone. They take zero pride in their work and customer service. Ended up spending another $500 dollars on supplies to fix the mess they left behind and blinds to cover them up.

I contacted them originally back in May, he made one appointment and never showed up on May 20th and then rescheduled for May 30th again only to have another no show. I contacted them last on the 5th of September and they were supposed to come out on the 18th. Then that got moved back to the 21st. Then I contacted him on the 20th and he said he was sick and he would reschedule later. Now we are in October and and he still has not contacted me back. I'm disappointed that they are kinda kicking me to the curb and I assume just hoping that I will just give up and forget about it. They should have come out to actually check out the windows. It's like I have to beg him to come out to address this problem and I shouldn't have to do that.

I have worked with Mark at 21st Century Windows for at least 10 years. What he has done to my house, garages and pool house over the years is wonderful. He is on time, very courteous, has great ideas, excellent work ethic and wants the customer to be happy. My house needed something, it needed a 3rd color to show off the siding he installed in the past. He suggested shutters. I had picked out a color, and he suggested another color. I liked his chose over mine so I went with it. I am glad I did, the new shutters made the siding and the color or the front door pop. Which was what the house needed. He measured the windows, even on the 3rd story, for the shutters. There were 15 sets of shutters installed on my home and garage. When he installed them, there were a few areas of the shutter that needed to be cut out due to the roof and gutter in the way. I was so glad this could be done, so the shutter would fit around the window. Matching caulk was applied to this area so there were no gaps. I love the look, it really looks great and adds a 3 dimensional look to the house, which is what it very much needed. I will keep calling him for anything my home and property needs in the future.

The job was mostly painless. There were issues (as is usual for really big jobs). The price was fair and the service was fantastic. Mark and Cody are very nice and professional. When my Pella patio doors were damaged, they worked with Pella to get them replaced. When the replaced panels were damaged as well, they expedited (relative to custom doors) that replacement. I would highly recommend these guys. The installation crew was fantastic - family team. Very courteous.

Beyond excellent. Cody and Mark have been extremely helpful. We got estimates from six different window companies and three that specifically carry Sunrise windows, Cody beat them all hands down. We are so happy with the quality of the windows and the lifetime guarantee! On top of that Cody was extremely knowledgeable in helping us break our huge window project into two manageable phases. Our windows were installed yesterday but a professional crew that replaced our original window trim and cleaned up perfectly. More than satisfied with our Sunrise windows from 21st Century Windows.

It was a great experience working with Mark.. He was very nice. I got the referral from one of my friends. The whole process was very fast including the order, installation. I almost end up with purchasing his car! Definitely would hire them to do my first floor windows next time... Of course I would recommend him.. Please let me know if you have any concerns.

Cody was great, from the start to the end. Their installers are also great guys all with the customer in mind. I appreciate their professionalism and hard work, made my window purchase and installation a great experience.

It went great. Mark and Cody from 21st-century window were the best. Easy to get a hold of, answered all my questions and relieved any fears I might've had. Mark and Cody also put up three sheets of drywall in the basement for me as an extra bonus without charge which was very nice of them. The window installation crew, Justin, Justin, Chad, Eric, and Todd were without a doubt the best. You could tell they have worked together a long time, their work was impeccable. They were very neat, completely covered all floors and cleaned up after themselves when they were done.

This company had the best customer service and sales staff. Their low overhead allowed for the most competitive prices. The windows aren't the best quality, but they are very good vinyl windows for the money. I did notice some flash in the corners of a few windows but I'm not too concerned. Their warranty can't be beat either. Installation was very good. All the seems were perfectly smooth with no gaps. Love the windows

I selected the Sunrise windows and am very happy with the look and the quality. Definitely a step up from the basic vinyl windows. You can save money going with the economy class and large local window companies, but I am glad a paid a little extra for the quality. The install was top notch professional. My wife almost changed her mind last minute and Cody and the owner handled well and you can tell that care about the quality of service they provide.
