21st Century Windows

While looking for new windows for my home, I looked at reviews in Angie's List and that is how I found 21st century windows. And I am so glad I did. Mark gave a competitive quote for the Sunrise windows and especially because of the reviews I read here, I decided to go with 21st Century windows. But even then, it far exceeded my expectations. Mark and Valerie are very responsive and I was kept informed in each stage of the process. The installation crew was on time, polite and did a great job of installing and cleaning up after the job. No half measures or short cuts in product or work quality. As a whole, very high quality of work and product and a professional company. Very good communication. Competitive prices. Very happy working with Mark and 21st Century Windows and I highly recommend them.

Mark, the owner is very knowlageable and has extensive experience in this filed. He takes pride in his work and makes sure everything is done right and to the complete satisfaction of his customers. He is honest and fair, upfront and straightforward. Everything was done right, from the quote to scheduling and installation. The installation was quick and flawless. The crew came in on time, worked efficiently, cleaned after themselves, did an outstanding job. Fred came by to check that everything was done right. Excellent follow-up. A true team of professionals! Very happy with the entire process and would definitely work with them again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have remodeling work done in their home.

The first time I used them was around September of last year and again in April of this year. This company is the best out there to replace your windows and Mark is excellent in communication and coordination of the whole process. I have used them in the past to replace windows and went back again because they do high quality work and when consulting on what to do are flexible and also respectful for the architecture of an older home. They are on the more expensive side but I have found it worth it. They are very busy so scheduling with Mark in particular for the initial consult can be a bit tricky / require some patience, but the installation itself went on schedule and smoothly; everything was cleaned up afterwards, etc. Mark followed up afterwards to make sure everything was satisfactory. Their installers were professional, cleaned up the work site, and left our new windows looking great. The only issues we had were that one of the screens was ripped and one of the windows had a scratch in it. Mark replaced the screen and ordered us a replacement window sash to fix the scratched one. Overall a great experience. Only deducted a little bit because of the long lead time in getting the entire job totally completed after the scratches were found.

Difficult to get the work scheduled, but once scheduled the work was done in a timely manner. Excellent work!

Mark is very personable and his crew worked well together. They were able to begin the work early since the windows arrived early and finished the major work in 3 days. We painted the new interior woodwork immediately after they finished and were impressed with all their caulking. They cleaned up in my garage and driveway leaving no issues for me to be concerned about. I am writing this in early January and am very happy with how the Windows perform in cold weather. I recommend 21st Century Windows if you need replacement windows.

These guys know what they are doing. Sunrise is a great product, but these guys could install any window and make it look nice. These guys are very polite, hard working, down to earth people. Highly recommend these guys!

From the very beginning when Mark came to our house to give us an estimate to the end when the job was completed, our experience was perfect. We actually commented that this was the first home improvement that went exactly as planned. Mark provided us with various window choices and gave us his recommendation. The window order was delivered on time and installed on time. His crew was professional and courteous. They took extra time to look for leaks on the roof and over our garage. They also took great care to lay down plastic and tarps to keep our house clean. We are so happy to have found Mark and 21st. Century Window.

Mark is really easy to work with, in fact he will take the extra effort to explain everything to you as well as provide recommendations for other things. They also installed a patio storm door for me and met me ad Home Depot to pick it up which was not part of the project but was a great way of making that extra effort to make me happy for something else I needed to have done. I must have went through 9 or 10 different window companies and quotes before I decided to go with 21st Century Windows. The main reason was because they had a good balance on price and flexibility and were easy to access whenever I had follow-up questions and other concerns. I am very satisfied and will work them again on other projects in the future.

I called to get an estimate an was told they were in Commerce and have a five minimum window installation policy. Even though The location is listed in Farmington which she stated is a satellite office. She stated Inkster is too far of a drive if I'm not getting at least five windows.

My wife and I are very pleased that we went with 21st Century Windows. Mark was extremely courteous and took the extra time to explain the various window options to my wife and I. Also, when I would ask Mark if he thought an extra feature was worth it or not for the type of home my wife and I own he would give his honest answer and not one just to make extra money which says a lot about him as well as his company. We did have some delays but they were beyond Mark's control (window manufacture delays) and during the wait time his office manager, Valerie, sent my wife and I updates regarding the status of the delays. When the manufacture delays took longer then expected Valerie and Mark went to bat for my wife and I and got the window manufacture to provide a discount. That really meant a lot as a customer and it was easy to see just how much they care about their customers satisfaction and how they represent themselves as a company. The install itself went great and the 21 Century Window installers were not only very knowledgeable about the work being performed but also friendly. I've never had a contractor clean up as well either as 21st Century Window did and take the extra few minutes to protect areas of the house (floors, new kitchen cabinets, etc) from any potential damage. My wife and I almost went with a different company as they were just slightly lower in price. However, every other company we contacted didn't do a two step spray foam install. Nearly every window company out there only spray foams between the wood frame / window and that's it. If possible 21st Century Window will spray foam the whole window cavity, let the foam dry and then apply an additional spray foam layer. Between the double spray foam process, extra attention to detail and excellent customer service my wife and I were happy to pay a bit more. The old saying "You get what you pay for" is definitely true when it comes to choosing a contractor to perform work on your home. I would highly recommend 21st Century Window to anyone looking to get new windows at a competitive price with friendly service and a high attention to detail during the install.

The workers arrived on time, and finished on time. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Although a piece of the trim was scratched, the project manager said he would fix it in the next couple weeks This is a very responsive company. I will use them again for future projects

We were very pleased with 21st Century Window. We selected them because they carry multiple manufacturer brands and we wanted that flexibility. They sent a brand-new salesperson to us, at first we were a bit concerned about that, but Mark (the owner) was in constant contact and reassured us the order would be reviewed for accuracy in pricing and measurements. Once the order was written up, another person was sent out to re-measure and confirm before the order was placed with the manufacturer. Installation was scheduled in a timely manner once the windows were ready, the crew showed up on time and within a couple hours the new windows were in place. We chose Sunrise windows (a Michigan manufacturer, which was a plus in our book) and they look and operate great. Mark, Ali (salesperson), and Valerie (office mgr) were all pleasant, personable, and responsive. The installation crew was polite and professional, cleaned up nicely. A good experience overall; highly recommended.

The visit was pleasant. We were not pushed into any decisions. As a matter of fact I was pushing him to negotiate a deal for the windows so we could order them ASAP! The price is very competitive and the Sunrise window is a great window. I haven't yet had the windows installed but I will follow up with another review later when they are installed.

The company is easy to deal with. They follow up on their promises. They show up on time. The doorwalls are amazingly high quality and really nice looking. We expect to see some serious energy savings over the old, leaky doors. Our house backs up to a ravine, so there is no access to it from the back. They had to assemble the doors on site and were willing to do that. Because of our woods, Mark suggested installing the roll-up invisible screens which really enhance the view. The office manager, Valerie, is very nice to work with, as well. We are very satisfied with the product, the install and in our dealings with the company.

Overall, working with 21st Century Windows was the best. Working with Mark, Valerie and the installers was great. They were all extremely professional and always kept in great contact with us. I was worried about working with Mark because I didn't want a sales person to come in and recommend me to change all my windows. He was very knowledgeable, very polite and he even saved me $$ by putting in an amazing window in our master bedroom which looks way better than the originals. His team is awesome too. Valerie is on top of everything. If anything, I need to apologize to them....it often has taken me days to get back with them and they are always so nice and polite. I get a little hesitant on installers coming to my home... they were very professional, trustworthy and got the job done in a timely manner... they cleaned up very well and my new windows look great. Just to note, we are pretty laid back people and Mark is very busy... but he is worth the wait! As busy as his schedule is he made a point to come out to our home a couple times before we actually purchased the windows... I know we will need to replace many more windows and after hearing horror stories of horrible installations from other friends, I would highly recommend Mark and his team.... they are busy but that is a good thing... very great people and awesome quality windows and installation... Working with Mark has been a pleasure. After purchasing our home we found out that Mark had not only done all the windows in the home but also our amazing master bath. We decided to use his company to replace the kitchen windows as well. The new window looks great and he was also able to help with framing it out. We are very happy with the results.

We first replaced our roof just the shingles, flashing, some wood, etc. The job went well. Mark came over several times along with sample of the shingles so we can pick the one which would look best with our color pallet. The process was very smooth and straight forward. The workers for the roof showed up on time and worked late. Took them a full 2 days to compete everything with the roof. When we did the windows we replaced all of them, at least 20 windows inside the house. We went with Anderson windows and so far are happy with our decision. Mark and his staff came out, measured and presented different options with us. His install team, of Rick and Bob we outstanding. They are 2 highly professional individuals who are hardworking and that did an outstanding job in installing the windows and caps. The gutters were just recently put up and here is hoping for rain to occur to test the capabilities of them. The main thing which was great with 21CW is someone was in contact with us during the entire project. We understand things can come up in remodeling to delay a job or possibly an item gets missed. What was impressive was someone was communicating with us the entire time do we can adjust our schedules and to manage our expectations. Say what you do; do what you say is what they did. Again this is all new, so let's see how things go 1-10 years from now, which is the test of true craftsmanship, but as for now they did an excellent job.

The installer came out and installed the doors over the course of 6 hours or so. Since the walls in my house are wider than normal, he had to do a bit of custom fabrication to make the new doors fit. They look great! I have been very satisfied with the outcome.

The owner, Mark, was extremely responsive and helpful and a pleasure to do business with -- even offering, without being asked, to take care of some small jobs around the outside of the house that had nothing to do with the windows. Bob and Rick, Mark's two installers, could not have been more obliging -- or neater (the clean-up was impeccable). They were on-time every day, well-mannered and pleasant to be around. The only signs they had been in the house were some small, easily-fixed scuff marks on the paint around the window sills. Considering the price ($10,500 less than the estimate from Home Depot) and the work done, I could not be happier. Would I recommend 21st Century Window to others? I have already. And will continue to do so. I was really nervous about having my windows replaced -- having heard all kinds of stories about unreliable and untrustworthy salesmen and installers. Thanks to Mark and Bob and Rick my nervousness was entirely unnecessary. Strange to say, I am quite looking forward to winter.

21st Century Window is more than a window company. THANK GOODNESS!! Another contractor was building a pool house for me, but they blundered in their work. While they were building the pool house, the roof fell down not once, but twice. I had lost confidence in them. So, I called Mark to see if he knew of a company to recommend in building a pool house. He said his company could do the job. I have used 21st Century Window many times in the past, but did not realize they could do a job this vast, from start to finish. I said go for it!! From using 21st Century, I know his company's great quality work and his standing behind each job he does. Thank goodness they came to my rescue, the first contractor's work was not plumb and the whole pool house had be taken down and started over by Mark's crew. They started from scratch with only a photo to build by, what gifted workers to have work for you! I bought the windows, door walls, vinyl crane board siding and certainteed shingles from 21st Century. The pool house is 14 x 14, not too big, but not too small. They installed 3 transom windows over the dormer on the front roof area. There are 2 windows on the backside of the pool house and 2 windows on the left side. The right side has a large door wall. The front has a large door wall with 2 smaller windows, one on each side. Also, in front are 2 vinyl columns, one on the left side and one on the right side. They installed insulated vinyl crane board siding and certainteed shingles which both match my house, it looks like a smaller version of my home! White ginger bread was installed in the peaks of the sides of the pool house, cute, cute, cute!! On top of the roof, they installed a cupola with a weather vane with 3 evergreen trees on it.. It looks so cute and adorable with all detailing the guys put into it. They even pulled out their phones, to make sure they were installing the weather vane N,S, E and W directional arrows in the right direction, what conscientious workers! On the inside, they insulated the ceiling, cut and installed the tongue and groove wood plank to size. Then, they primed and painted the ceiling white. The windows and door walls inside were framed with wood casings and primed and painted white. The walls were insulated and dry walled. And then primed and painted white also. The detail of their workman ship is wonderful. When family and friends see it they are in awe and just love it. I am so happy the first crew did not work out. 21st Century window has done more of an impressive job than the first could ever do. I just love my cute pool house!!!!

They arrived on time and replaced all windows that day. They sealed windows inside and out and cleaned everything up when finished.
