21st Century Window is an independent full-service window installation company (We Do Not Do Repairs). We sell and install windows made by Anderson, Marvin, Pella, Sunrise, and more! By being an independent window broker, we have the freedom to use a variety of window products and innovative new designs. The customers needs can be best fulfilled by having a variety of options in regards to manufacturers and pricing. We also work with your finances and set up a three payment plan during the process which allows the homeowner to budget a little easier for their home improvement projects. Depending on distance to estimate or job a trip charge may apply.

We are Master Shingle Applicator certified. We also handle storm damage property claims such as ice dams, hail and wind.

Description of Work: We had a window in our living room that would not shut during hot summer temperatures and Century 21 windows came out to help us the same day we called. Not only that, they completed the service call at 8pm since that worked best with our schedules AND completed the maintenance for free! He was very helpful in giving advice on how to develop a long term solution to our window problem for a very reasonable price. We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that needs window, roofing, or siding, and we plan to use them ourselves in the future to fix our windows.

Description of Work: Owner, Mark Teufel, was very difficult to reach in the first place. When he returned the call, my husband asked if the fact that we only wanted one window replaced meant that he did not want to bother with the job. He said that was not a problem, and he said he'd be in touch to set up an appointment. He did not call, and after a couple of weeks of waiting, we called him again. He did set up a meeting time for the following week. He did arrive promptly then, but he did not have any materials to show us what sorts of windows we could choose from. About a week later, he called to say he would stop by soon with more information and an cost estimate. After wating for another week, we decided to look into another vendor. That process is underway. From first contact to the weeks waiting for response, we wasted about five or six weeks.

I wanted to respond because this report doesn't seem to represent both sides. When I have a member call into the office, I get back to them within 24 hours and try to schedule the best available time. My cell phone is always on and it's rare that I'm not able to answer it. We set an appt and I came out and called back with options on pricing. I spoke to your husband. He informed me that you would be gone for a week. I called several times trying to reconnect and I never had one callback after 3 or 4 messages left on your voicemail. I think it would've been nice if you had called me back or answered my voicemails instead of just submitting this report, which really isn't fair and balanced feedback. I understand your frustration with how busy last fall was but keeping the lines of communication between both parties in a situation like this brings the best results.

Description of Work: They never came to my house on the scheduled appointment dates. When I finally contacted someone about the service, I was told the special dad been dropped, and the service was no longer provided.

We've had an overwhelming response to these Big Deal services. We try to get to everyone in a timely manner. I'm sorry that we did not coordinate our schedule with days you were available. I try my best so we can get the service to you as soon as possible. Unfortunately, when we schedule this type of outdoor caulking and sealing, it cannot be done if it has rained or is wet out. These conditions had us constantly resetting these appointments due to these uncontrollable conditions. If we hurried and caulked jobs when they were wet, it would be a waste of your money and our time and I want these homes to stay water tight. The right application will last a long time. Patience is the key to get the good results you want. As always, your feedback, good or bad, helps the conversation.

Description of Work: I saw this company on Angie's List big deal. It wasn't right around the corner from my house, so before I purchased I called the office to ensure that we were in their service area. When I called, I asked if they serviced my town. I was told on the phone that they certainly did. At that point, I went online and purchased the big deal and gave it to my wife as a Christmas present. When we attempted to schedule the service we were told that it was a 50 minute drive from the company's office and they wouldn't come and provide the service. My wife told me about the denial so I called the company to talk to the person who had left a voicemail on my wife's phone (Mark) stating that they don't service our area. I called the company in the morning and asked to speak to Mark. The receptionist took my name and number. I didn't receive a phone call thoughout the day so I called back before the end of the day. I left another message with my name and phone number. This was on a Friday so I figured I'd get a call back, at the latest, on Monday. Two weeks went by and I called Mark's cell phone number (which he left on my wife's voicemail when he first called). He told me that we were outside the service area. I told him that I had called prior to purchase and was assured that we lived within the service area. He told me about the areas he was working in and even offered that if things "slowed down and he was coming through my area, he could caulk the windows and put some weatherstripping on the doors that need it." That doesn't work for us. He said that I could probably find a contractor closer to us to do the work. I just asked him how to get my purchase price back. He did offer to help me do that if I needed it. While I don't know the quality of work this company does, I would have liked to find out, I cannot tell from my experience. Now I just have to contact Angie's List to get my money back.

However, we cannot travel due to the time and expense and my secretary knows these territories, that's why as I was told by her, she gave you my cell phone number to call me and check. That same day, I received your number and your request and I called your number after getting her message and left you a voicemail, sharing with you clearly that Grand Blanc is way north of any area accessible enough to complete these discounted coupons. Description of Work: Mark was a superior installer of our new windows, he is an excellent contractor and also installed crown molding in our main area of our home, he also helped with fogging our basement for mold. Mark is multi-talented, was always on time and the job was completed when he said it would be. Mark was conscious of our privacy and came and went into our home at decent hours of the day. Mark worked beyond his quitting time if the job was not completed and with our permission. We are currently investigating repair of two sky lights in our sun room and we have contacted Mark again for a quote for the project. We would recommend Mark to any one interested in home improvements and window replacement. Mark has worked in our neighborhood and completed many projects for our neighbors also.
